@@hotzauhse Just cos this game has wrestling moves doesn’t mean this is a wrestling game. Def Jam Vendetta was a wrestling game. And for wrestling games VPW2, HCTP and 2K14 are the GOATs.
Def Jam is a brawler type fighting game. And it’s the greatest fighting game of all time too. Street Fighter, Tekken, KOF, Blazblue, Guilty Gear they all fall behind this legend. Even the PSP version of Def Jam is better than these games.
Only fighting game that comes close is Rurouni Kenshin MKR Kansei. I only speak facts, not opinion.

Could you explain “chain stuns”? How come some characters hard grapples can keep the opponent stunned and other light grapples as well? Is there a specific mechanic to it?
We aren't entirely sure on how chain stuns function, but an educated guess is that the animation at the end of a "Chain Stun Grab" is lengthier than the recovery time for the person using the grab. Due to recovering quicker than the animation finishes, I think that the game doesn't recognize the opponent's recovery on the ground, and allows for the Chain stun setup.
That's my take on it anyway.

Also question havd u fully figured out the character wc i see hes in c tier however i seen c tier characters go up in tier list so im just wondering if he has alot of flaws or if you just havent fully looked into him yet. Are you playing against another player or just the AI? If you're playing against the AI are you playing against them on hard difficulty?

@Saudixmo7trefx Yeah, hard mode AI have higher stats than normal players do when using the same character. That's likely why the combo isn't working for you.

@@djsiddiki3430 Club Murder is the starting stage (in terms of balance its fair for every character in the game). After that initial match is over, the players can choose any stage that doesn't have an alternative win mechanic, such as ringout or destroying the vehicle. Also, the ring of fire stage is banned.
The only other limitation on selecting a stage is no picking a stage that you have previously won on.

Ive read the difficulty has to be set to high. Why does that matter in pvp?
Setting the difficulty alters the charisma earned by the players. Hard mode in particular gives the least amount of charisma for the blazin' meter, which theoretically allows for more neutral to be played before someone earns the super and finishes the game.

my god, they miss so many punishes. Like at 35:24, when pockets counters the grab with a kick, you have enough time to pull a haymaker. i'm baffled that a dude playing in a tournament doesn't know that. Damn.
If we're being honest a lot of players enter this game just to have fun. Its a cool experience to play with a bunch of people in game besides skill level. It would be different if it was an invite only event, but at this one it was literally walk up, pay $5 and enjoy. So it was cool for anyone who wanted to hop on.

Joey and I are always willing to give tips for Def Jam: FFNY. Just understand if we meet up during a tournament, those tips will have to wait until after the tournament is over so we don't break concentration.

Fair criticism. Problem is commentators were also playing and were pretty drained lol. That and the area was not great for a dedicated commentator area. Will try and do better next, but also no promises lol

Lol nah, he definitely ain't that crazy. He's cancer, but he ain't that crazy. All you have to do is space him out and you get free punishes. By that point in the tournament I was fatigued and fucked up. Shit happens when you're running the whole thing and playing. I plan on getting him next time.
