The Black Series is just awesome. 6" scale Star Wars figures were a dream come true for me. I'm 49 & I love my vintage Star Wars toys, The Black Series 6" line is just a bonus in the Star Wars toy world

I'm 47 I don't collect the vintage just the black series. I only collect the original trilogy characters and only the ones I have a real liking for. I have limited space and funds. Maybe if i had no wife and kids Id get them all lol

Always happy to help! Glad you like them! They are a good looking figs. Black Series figs have come a long way with design, paint and sculpt. You need some Snowtroopers and there is a General Veers out there too lol. It just piles on lol. You will love that snowspeeder it is really top notch too. Very glad to donate to the channel, now you will have to make space for all this new stuff!

Yeah that Snowspeeder is awesome I'm glad that I have it in my collection, it looks almost like the real model that was used in the movie, Hasbro done well and it will go down as a classic in years to come.

Funny, your story is completely identical to mine. Confined at home for the same reasons, these 3 great youtubers gave me the motivation to also complete my collection of vintage Star Wars figurines started in...1978.

Im in my early 50s and I love Star Wars! I had figures as a kid but they're long gone. These Black Series figures really do look awesome. The only Black Series figure I have is the Child from the Mandalorian. He's so cute, I couldn't resist him.😁

I can't wait for your Rebel Trooper review. I think it should one of the top figures of 2020. And to be honest this is a great time to start your Star Wars black series collection as most of these new and re-released figures will have the improved articulation scheme and face printing tech.

Tony...when you get the Hoth Rebel Soldier in hand you will be blown away. For all of the gaffes that Hasbro makes these days they really knocked it out of the park with that particular piece in my opinion. Cannot wait to see your review of it!

Please go further down the Star Wars figure rabbit hole!! These are the best Star Wars figure videos on UA-cam. So many collectors just arrange all the figures in random order, they look so much better like Bespin figures together, Dagobah figures together and so on 😁👍🏼 Hoth next!

BTW - if you get the opportunity, pick up the Bandai 3PO model kit. It’s proper gold chrome and not a bad way to spend a few hours building.

I always see the Black Series figures around. Some of them are ones that didn't sell and made their way to the grocery store and discounted. After seeing your video I might buy one if I see a good one.
Nice! I can't afford to even start on these, but if I did I would probably go for Boba and the bounty hunters from Empire first. Such a motley crew!
The Chewie and 3PO set is well worth it just for 3PO. Basically you’re getting two droids for the price of one: pre and post blast. Love the how they did the wiring.

I didn't start until late 2015 and now I am probably around or above 200 figures in. You started at a time where the quality of these have levelled up to and in more ways surpassed the more expensive Japanese figures. The snowspeeder is such an awesome vehicle! Not too big, although it will take up some space. And there are a lot of great OT ones on the way too.
I've been collecting them since they came out in 2013, pre ordered the first wave and every one since, I have all of the main line of figures, just missing some of the exclusives and deluxe, things like that. I still have the boxes for them but that might be changing soon, otherwise I'll need a new house!! Doesn't help that they're not the only figures I collect either....
I'm glad to see you have decided to indulge your 6" Black Series sweet-tooth... I recently started collecting them myself, with the 40th anniversary ESB figures (my disagreeing with you about the AT-AT Driver compelled me to make that my first SW figure purchase since 1998, haha - I had to have it!). I just put mine on the shelf, carded. The Rebel Soldier is awesome. I find it curious how you "compartmentalize" figures - you classify R2-D2 as Dagobah, and distinctly *not* one of the "Bespin Heroes" - yet R2 was right there, plugged into the Bespin computer system, opening doors for the heroes, etc. (I understand the R2 you have is the Dagobah sludge version, so if that's what "disqualifies" him from your Bespin diorama, I get it.)
I'm anxious to see your future reviews on 6" BS figures - especially the Snowspeeder Luke (which I haven't bought, but am tempted to) as well as the Snowspeeder with Dak. Overall, even if you may feel you've jumped in at the "deep end" with the 6" Black Series line, I think you'll get great satisfaction from collecting them - and I believe your viewers will appreciate your (expanded) reviews. (Again, I'm right there with you, as I've just begun collecting them myself, and I'm trying to be prudent about my purchases, as I am indeed on a budget.)
Welcome to the club, Tony! LOL. You definitely have to get the just released ESB 40th Luke Dagobah Jedi Training set with updtated Yoda. I think the new Yoda will become your favourite Back series figure. I love it!!!!

That C-3PO is very impressive!
If you're not already aware, there's a 3rd wave of carded TESB figures coming (a few have been found in the US already) that includes Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a Snowtrooper so keep an eye out for them. And not to drive you nuts, but there's a proper Dagobah Luke out now in a 2-pack with Yoda. The Luke will also be on a card in the wave with the Vader, Fett, and Snowtrooper.
My Wookie co-pilot would have loved this Chewie.

Yeah two years ago I was collecting 3 3/4 gijoe and saw the black series as a rabbit hole I didn't want to go down either but now, I have a large collection. God help us all....

I do have a few black series figures, but I only grabbed ones that were on sale at the time. I do not display any of my Star Wars collection right now and I do have an extensive collection of many Kenner and Hasbro figures. I was so disappointed with the new trilogy that I put them away so I wouldn't be reminded of how horrible they treated the original heroes. Perhaps one day I'll get them out again, but for now I'll display my GI Joes and model kits I've built . I have limited space so that's that. Thanks for the review, I like the Han Solo the best out of that group. It reminds me of a time when Star Wars reigned true. Stay well Tony and happy collecting!
Nuce little collection of figures. I've gone the other way and only only try to collect Imperials. Can highly recommend the General Veers to go with your Probe Droid. Great figure and he comes with the helmet and armour and the officers hat, so you can get 2 outfits for the one character. I'd say that you're probably getting into this at the right time, as Hasbro are not doing a bad job with these now. They finally use face tech scanning and their sculpts have always been really good. Also not sure if you are aware, but there is a Luke and Yoda Dagobah 2 pack available that you might want to check out. Good luck with going down your hole...
And yes I agree that this is the best versions of 3po and Chewbacca in the black series, Chewbacca is scaled down a bit because the early black series chewbacca is known to be too tall. I love this two pack and I'll end with saying I bet you'll love the snowspeeder and hoth rebel soldier. 😎😉
There's a great Vader vintage collection 6 inch available or the Bandai model kit which I love for the trooper and bobba

Great set of Black Series figures good brother!👍😁. I also started collecting Black Series figures this year also. I also use to be only a vintage collector but that has changed!👍 I am trying to limit myself to Clone Troopers and just a few others that I like.

That General Veers is a great fig and was exclusive to Walgreens so, if you see one for cheap grab it for sure!
I thought I was the only one that preferred the original non photo real Lando. The photo real one looks so serious and angry. The original one looks fun and chilled like Lando should be.
When you display them as Bespin escape make sure to attach 3pos right arm as he has it on in the movie
I would love to find my favorite characters from Empire Strikes back- the Bounty Hunters. I'm sure there's a Boba Fett but I want them all. One of my favorite childhood toys that I wish I still had were the 12" IG-88 and Fett.
They have all the bounty hunters out. Depending on where you live will depend on how hard they are to get. Dengar and 4LOM is the hardest to find.

Also, I agree with your thoughts regarding the original 2017 ESB Lando looking better than the 2020 40th release with the advanced face paint tech. Thought I was the only one who held that opinion. I bought it and ended up returning it soon after.

I bought a loose dengar 4 Inc figure without his weapon cost £3.00 .I had this figure in 1982 it came to me in the mail back then the one from 1982 his fixed back pack seemed bigger is what I remember can you tell me if the one I have now is the vintage one.if I knew how to send a picture to you I would of my dengar figure thank you.
I started collecting the Black Series in February of 2016 while on a Bb-8 Buying Spree after seeing TFA. I had been out of Collecting for about 6 years, but I had to have Everything Bb-8. I found a Rey with Bb-8 Black Series figure at Target and debated whether I wanted to spend $20 to get Him with the Rey. Needless to say, I did, and when I got Home and realized that it was just a tiny piece of Tape keeping me from Opening them and being able to put them back in the Box, That's All it took.
After posing Rey and playing with Her & Bb-8 I was Hooked. I got in the car and went right back to Target and got the Poe Dameron with the First Order Riot Control Trooper that was a Target Exclusive 2 Pack. I swore that since I had collected 3.75" figures all my life for the Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy that I was Only going to Collect figures from TFA and Newer Films in the Black Series. Again, Never say Never.
That plan went out the window when I found the Han & Taun Taun set and the Scout Trooper & Speederbike sets on Clearance at GameStop for $14.99 ea. Needles to say I went Down the Rabbit Hole and I'm Still Chasing it. That's now over 250 Black Series figures later, and My God How far this Line has Improved over that Rey & Bb-8, and Poe & Riot Trooper figures.
I have All of the Vehicles too, including the Massive Tie Fighter, and the New Snowspeeder, which is a True Work of Art! It looks like You're holding a Studio Scale Model from the Film. You Have to Pick one up. You won't regret it.
I also have the New Dagobah Training Luke & Yoda 2 Pack, which is INCREDIBLE! The Luke is Unreal how Fantastic He looks. He's the Best Mark Hammill Likeness they've done yet, but the Yoda is Just as Impressive. First Off, He's Much Smaller than the Original Black Series Yoda and Much Better Scale to Luke & R2, but He's also got Much Better Articulation, and an Alternate Headsculpt with His Eyes Closed. When the set Really Shines though is when You get Yoda in the Backpack on Luke's Back. It Truly is a Masterpiece. You're going to have to get that Set for Your Dagobah Collection. Then You can put your Bespin Luke in your Bespin Display along with Vader.

Hahaha, I said the same thing about not collecting Black Series. Bottom line is that they're too epic! I've now got about 30.
The only black series figures you can pick up cheap are the rogue one and rise of skywalker trilogy says it all really
I have still avoided the Black series. I have been tempted a few times, Mandalorian series especially. If i did I would do exactly what you did and just focus on the ESB line of heroes, or possibly the heroes from the escape at Jabbas. Do they make a Force Ghost Ben? He would fit great with your Dagobah heroes.
For the R2D2. It would have been nice if they would have extended the mud design on the 3rd leg.

My favorite thing about black series is that it scales with figurearts and bandai model kits.
The figures can be really, really nice. I’m just getting my all-time favourites. I have a few rules, and ‘wants’ - most importantly is: ‘Is the figure superior to say the 3.75” figure and is it accurate (as good as can be for 6”).
The 6-inch Lando for myself has a far better likeness with the ‘photo-real’ paint apps. The other one is good. The sculpts the same, just new paint apps.
The R2 is ok, but the third leg is too ‘fat’ for myself and R2 is far, far too small in scale and is perhaps one of Hasbro’s worst ever R2s. The Bounty Hunters are really good (apart from IG-88, as the proportions are too off, and it’s too short like R2).
The ‘Probot’ is really nice.
You may enjoy the Hoth Han and Luke with Wampa and the Tauntaun. They are nice - and the lovely Wampa is being reissued in a lovely ‘Vintage’ style packaging.
Vader is coming from TESB. The new Stormtrooper is really, really good it’s a new sculpt and is based off the redesigned armour from Rogue One, Solo and the Mandalorian, that sculpt and it’s articulation is fantastic, you’ll love it Tony.
Glad you’re getting a great deal of enjoyment out of these. Hasbro can drop the occasional clanger and make some strange, overpriced stuff, but they make some really great stuff too.
There's an Admiral Piett black series to go with Veers too.
The R2D2 I feel should have a bit more weathering in some areas as the white on his body is popping out a little bit too much.

You need to get the 2 pack of dagobah luke and yoda, the yoda is much better and it comes in the normal black series packaging!
I have a love/hate relationship with vintage carded Black Series figures. I absolutely love these big figures on cards but I have to buy two of everything because I want to pose them AND keep them on card. Ugh. I'm an idiot.
Anyone else notice that the colors of Princess Leia's Hoth uniform are almost the same as Admiral Ackbars?
I mainly only do Imps in Black Series.
Just imagine if the original Kenner releases were of the same quality as the Black Series figures! How that might have changed the toy industry (again!).

Ah, you haven’t fallen off the no Black Series cart, you crashed off it lol. I have to admit, Tony, to losing interest in the early days, due to the horrid QC issues and human paint jobs, but SH Figurarts really forced Hasbro to up their game. And then I, too, dove from the cart, after decreeing I was done. I’m now playing catch up on the damn bounty hunters and wishing I’d fallen earlier ;) They are terrific figures now. Enjoy the rabbit hole :)
