@@2unearth987 Wait, what ?
I was a single mom in the late 90’s and lived in public housing (3 bedroom townhouse) I worked a FT job, had 2 little ones to support but let me just say, I took pride in my little townhouse. My place was spotless, my kids were clean. We had nice things (I worked hard for it), I eventually saved up enough to buy my own home. The rest is history.
It was your choice to have those kids. You shouldn’t have relied on the government to pay for your choices. Of course you were able to save money, Most people had to pay traditional prices in the real world.

Being poor doesn’t mean you have to be dirty. Well done for showing an example of how it should be done.
Poor?? This woman is not POOR, she’s not even close to being poor. That apartment is nicer than at least half the places I’ve lived in my life, she has a refrigerator AND an extra freezer AND a half dozen cabinets filled to the brim with food (albeit mostly junk food), clearly has a Costco or BJs membership, numerous silly appliances all over the place, and a washer and dryer in her home. If this is representative of “poor”, then sign me up.
@@justmydeals you right my dear
GeorgeIII THANK YOU!! Not to mention her son has a $500/$1000 GAMER CHAIR! Oh I know WHAT TYPE of chair that is. lol I think I understand what they may have “intended” with this video, but IMO, I think it somewhat proves what a lot of people already assume about people who live on freaking public housing and that is; “Some” of them are living better than some of the people who work normal jobs, but fall in between THAT LINE of being able to splurge without having benefits cut, yet not able to splurge on many of the things shown in that video. Many of which includes, but not limited to the other flat screen TV that are mounted on the walls that we didn’t even get to see. Chiiiilllllleeeeee.... Same for me - and none of us (my parents or us kids) were ever drug abusers/users. My dad actually had a degree, so even “educated folk” were in the projects. The stereotypes are ridiculous. We kept that apartment so clean. No carpet, so you swept and mopped a few times a week, and a full cleaning on Saturday (before you went out to play). We also didn’t have showers so you took a bath and cleaned the tub after every use (put that comet etc in there)! Congrats on owning a home!

I live in low income housing . My husband got cancer at age 54 and was no longer able to work because of body weakness. I also had many health problems with a liver disease . We got behind on the rent when neither of us could work . I was taking my husband in once a week for a complete blood transfusion at our cancer center . We came close to living in our car . It looked like we were about to be homeless. A low income apartment was offered to us and we snatched it up quickly . We lost our home and many other possessions but life to me isn’t about the nice home and material things. I am over joyed that my husband beat the cancer and we didn’t wind up on the streets . We have lived in our little low income apartment for almost ten years now and we made it into a comfortable home. My husband never regained all of his strength and could not work again so we live off one small early retirement income but I am so grateful to GOD we never wound up on the streets in our condition . God bless your heart baby cakes your home is quite nice . Your not ghetto baby cakes your pure class in my opinion . We have Ben forced to make our low income apartment our retirement home and it’s ok . Love is the most important thing in life not things .
Very kind words! God bless you and your Husband.

I always said that too, I live in Cleveland Ohio and I’ve lived in several projects and people there live disgusting!!! I’ve rented one off a friend (illegal) on east 30th and central and I kept mine spotless! But there were bedbugs and it was miserable. They eventually tore those down. I lived in the ones off w28th and they’re beautiful! But the person I stayed with was nasty. Roaches really really bad, inside the brand new bread, baby crawling around w dirty knees and saggy diapers. 3 other dirty kids, Garbage all over the kitchen floor, roaches crawling in the dirty dishes, wet laundry piled up in the closet. It could’ve been so nice. There was a balcony off the kitchen that connected to a bedroom, 3 big bedrooms, closets in each bedroom, a half bathroom off the master bedroom, another full bathroom, huge dining room huge kitchen huge livingroom, washer and dryer hook up in a closet. And a view of the water off the balcony. Yet they kept it nasty.. oh and it was only $25 a month!!!!

She's partly right. The projects I lived in had gunshots regularly, stabbings, serious felony brawling and some crazy woman outside would eventually attack your child forcing your happy motherlyness into mortal combat. Drugs dealers high on 'wet,' and since I know you don't know what that is its embalming fluid dipped blunts. Anyways, she's probably living in a decent section 8, not the "projects."

I had a severe medical condition and had to sell my big beautiful home and move into low income housing. Quite a few seniors in our complex that couldn't afford rent elsewhere. Our complex was very diverse. Except for one or two families almost everyone kept their places clean, and nice. Almost everyone worked. Going from upper middle classs homeowner with a big home to low income apartment was a big adjustment, but we consider it a blessing. We were able able get back on our feet there and we met some wonderful people. Wishing everyone a beautiful week!

I wish my project apartment looked like this. Mine is super cramped. I have brick walls downstairs so I can’t even hang up pics. It’s not the most homely place but I don’t plan on retiring here. The projects are what you make it. I was able to get my Associates degree here and will be pursuing my Bachelors in the Fall. I don’t have roaches or insects. They spray every month. We keep our home spotless and fully furnished. I just graduated my daughter class of 2021 she starts college in the spring.
One of the best things my grandma taught me was it doesn't matter how poor you are, if you are fortunate enough to have a roof over your head you can keep it clean... it doesnt cost anything to keep a home clean
Skylar what you said hunty........!!!
I love what your grandma says! ❤
When I stayed in the projects a single father of 6 stayed there. He worked at Chrysler and he's children went to private school. Kids had all the name brand clothes. No public assistance. He paid the highest rent for a 4 bedroom apartment that including water was 600 and month. He stayed there for 12 years until he's youngest moved out on her own. He move into a small two bedroom apartment. With that being said please be careful at judging those who may stay in projects you don't know their reasons behind living there
Where was this?
So true.. when you live in the projects everyone rent varies.some pay as low as $25-1200 or more where in from..so dont think that people living on public housing are all losers, lazy, dirty, roach infested houses and recieve public assistance and food benefits..never failed inspection..in fact when I lived in public housing the inspector always came to my house last. Just because it was a relief to inspect a pleasant house. That what he told me..he acted like he never wanted to leave.😊not bragging just giving an example. Never been a bragger..all what is said of me is from experience. So stop judging!!!!
Natty Mad ....Well said. I had a home health patient yers ago in public housing. Her apartment was spotless. Her children even the three year old helped clean. She cooked everyday. Her children were on the honor roll. Her children were always well behaved. I understand that not everybody in public housing is the same just as everybody with money is not the same. Money does not make one cleaner or better.
Shows what kinda man he is. He chose to live in the projects instead of paying a high rent just to show off and used that money saved to send his kids to a private school to help them become better than him. Good on him. 🙌
Natty Mad Right, that same 4 bedroom not in the projects, would be 2,000 to 2,500 a month, anywhere else!

I grew up in the projects on DC, those were the most happiest times of my life. Real honest and caring families who watched out for all the kids not just their kids.
We was like a big family in the project in New Orleans they always say bad people come from the projects no it was good people who look out for one another and we always look out for one another it was all love
It was like that when I was growing up in Bklyn, too. Didn’t really see it that way or appreciate it until after I grew up and had been away for a while. What I thought was shameful was actually such a blessing. It really was like an extended family of many lifelong friends. We’re all in in our 40s and 50s now-the kids we grew up with-and that’s the very thing we talk about and hold close, to this day.

I used to be a leasing consultant at a mixed Apt complex with HUD/section 8 and 'traditional' renters. I've done inspections on units with either kind of renter, I've seen people who pay $2800 for a unit and their place was absolutely gross and S8 units that were extremely clean and well maintained. She's NOT the exception. We grew up in the projects & when they did inspection, they were IN AWE. WE PAID A LOT OF RENT IN THE PROJECTS so Contrary to what people think, Not Everyone paid low-income rent. My Mom would TURN THE HOUSE UPSIDE DOWN TO CLEAN. All of my Mom's kids finished school & went to college or Military & became Productive Citizens. We had to get a job at 16 bcuz my mom believed in the value of Good Work Ethic & had to be in when the street lights came on, she helped with homework, supported us in the band, choir & other activities in school. A lot of people can learn from watching this video. It’s not where you live, it’s how you live. Also some “upscale” places have more crime/issues than “the projects”
I move from the project to move to a better area paying thousand of dollar and the area is worseoff then the project I should of stay in the project

Yep and some people pay 3k a month but got no furniture. TF?
its not upscale when its crime filled. Just a expensive hood period point blank
I am so blown away by how spacious the apartment is! It even has a laundry room with washer/dryer and also a dish washer! Putting my 1 bedroom apt to shame!
Rt. .. its way better thn alot of reg apt where i. At let along the projects...mind blown
Y’all better put your applications in.
These apartment looks good. There are some run down areas for section 8 that the media highlights.
Beautiful
im so jealous of her closet space. her place is very clean and organized
Hey girl hey I told you I would stop by and watch the video love you peaches keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️
I never heard of the motto "It's not where you live, it's how you live". That's a smart way to think about things. You have a beautiful home ! I wish you more beautiful blessings your way ❤️.
We always make the best of any situation. Period.
💯
Thanks! Beautiful home. I’m black, 63 and been using dishwasher for 40 years! 🤷🏽♀️♥️
right idk what she talking about
Me either, dishwashers are healthier. The steam kills germs. Also, she seems really proud of her TVs… on the walls. 🤣🤣
@@blessyourheart175 I was thinking the same thing. And why do the TVs still have the manufacturer stickers in the corners? That is all I would see if I had to watch TV with a big yellow triangle in the corner. I only use my dishwasher! Couldn't imagine having one and not using it. ✌
I'm white and don't use my dish washer ! It ruins pans , silverware .
Dropping in on @Peach ❤❤ I hope you get that million views boo 😘
I’m Mexican and my mom always bugging me about washing the dishes by hand and I hate it but she said you’re Mexican and we don’t use dishwashers although we do have one but it’s for “storage”
GO MOM GO 😂😂😂😂😂
😆😆😆😆😆 extra storage 🙌🙌🙌🙌😆😆😆
You mean the drying rack😅
I’m Dominican and was raised the same way! The dishwasher is for storage and once in a while we use it to sterilize the dishes.
Girl I'm white and we use our dishwasher for storage of our hundreds of cleaning rags and hand towels 🤣🤣🤣
Lmao omg I was screaming when you said we don’t use the dishwasher cause I moved here to Arizona from New York and had this dishwasher for 7 years and never used it. I use it to dry my dishes after hand washing them it’s a drying rack for us. Yes girl we don’t use dishwashers ain’t that the truth I thought it was just me 😂😂
Why not though? I'm just curious. I come from Italy and many people don't have it there, but now that I have it I use it all the time. It's kinda convenient :)
@@matildeschower4772 We’re just accustomed to washing dishes by hand because we HAD to! Lol..Then as adults we just wash dishes and put them in the dishwasher to dry and run the washer once a month to clean the dishwasher. We will use the dishwasher when there are a lot of dishes from having a party or something..✌🏾
@@matildeschower4772 honestly most times the dishwasher doesn’t get the dishes washed properly. Some of them do but it’s still not the same as hand washing your dishes. Plus the dishwasher uses up a lot of energy, water and time. There are about 3 cycles on the dishwasher, so you are wasting more time waiting on your dishes to get clean instead of just hand washing them. Most times people don’t even have a lot of dishes to go in the dishwasher as well on a day to day basis. And you still end up having to rewash pots, pans, plates, etc. if the dishwasher is too full. So it just makes more sense to get a better clean originally then anything.
@@letakeokuk5446 thank you for explaining :)
@@aprylgolden thank you for explaining! makes sense :)
Oh and that apt is beautiful in New York our project apts don’t look anything near like y’all. This is very nice I wish ours looked like that growing up.
I lived in the projects in Brooklyn & my apartment was beautiful & spacious
You just ain’t take care of it
@@tradinwarstoriez5641 first of all our apt was well taken care of maybe you just didn’t understand what I was saying the floor plans are not like what was shown. As for taking care of something you don’t fucking know me so have a set cause I damn sure don’t remember addressing my comment to you
@@Nappy2theRoot our apt was nice too but you know damn well your floor plan is no where like her floor plan okrrrr
Speak for yourself my project apt was nice before I moved to Ohio
Peachy Pooh I loved this video thanks for sharing ❤ this was very encouraging for me needed this today
I really love how you respected your kids privacy and are wary of showing their face on the internet by not filming their faces. You're a really good mom
Those are her family members kids.
I grew up in public housing. It was the best years of my life. There’s so many negative stereotypes associated with it.
My home and most of the others were super clean. Some were decked out with nice furniture etc... some were not due to many families were starting over. But cleanliness was a standard.
People be judging like of they can afford flat screens, Jordan’s and nice furniture then they why they living in low income housing. Well, life happens and people end up starting over. I’m thankful for low income housing. I pray we had more because there would be less homeless.
Eric Davis I’m black and I approve this message!
Yea that's true in a way. But if you can't afford market rate rent , How are you buying these expensive things? Driving Luxury cars? The only way they can afford is to wait for it to go on sale or by making money on the side.
They apartment is nice inside, people just do the best they can with what they have. I'm so sick of stereotypes
Hey Peach hope you reach your goal of 1M views on this video 🙏🏾. It’s sooo amazing to see when you started. I started UA-cam 11 years ago (video still up on my channel) but I quit because my videos didn’t get a lot of views. You encourage me to keep going no matter what.
Just want you to know that I appreciate you & I’ve learned soo much from you. I took your 1:1, your son’s course & I read all your ebooks.
Growing up in the projects taught me a lot. And trust me we keep a spotless crib! Moms wasn't having it. People needed to see this video. Thanks for sharing Queen!
I will use a dishwasher in a heartbeat. Lol. I think that’s more sanitary than hand washing. I don’t trust ppl ability to thoroughly wash. Dirty washcloths, greasy water 🙅🏾♀️
Dishwashers save lots of water and sterilize your dishes. Check it out for yourself.
I use mine every single day and they come out super clean, plus I always put Clorox in it
She should put up some nice fancy curtains to her closets wtiebacks and nice curtain rod and mirror in the background
I’m the same way. My dish washer uses water much hotter that what my hands can tolerate without getting burned. The key is arranging the dishes in a way that they all get hit properly and can drain/dry.
kiki johns That’s what she was saying 🙄
I love this thanks for sharing. It negates all the stereotypes ♥️♥️♥️
Girl, your place is gorgeous!! I grew up in public housing. I never knew we were poor because my mother had our place so beautiful! I’m so happy you showed this! Don’t pre-judge a person by what they posses. 🥰❤️
Peaches please thank the family for allowing us to see inside their personal space and thanks goes to you peaches as well
WILL DO. THANK YOU
NYC projects apartments don’t look like this 😂. This is huge.
Wow really??
Facts lmao my friend live in a project, and her house is charming she decorated it so nice,, so I guess it's all about how you decorate it honestly
Facts
JustMe facts
@Sacajewi Diamond Lefrak city is not traditional NY projects. That is income based housing! Talk about Queensbridge, Marcy, or Lafayette Gardens, or Polo Grounds! Those are projects!
An apartment EXACTLY like this cost over $3500 a month in LA.
😳
Right!
Thats innnsane!
That's ridiculous 😠
Wow thts crazy
It’s not where you live, it’s how you live. Love it‼️ ❤️
I live in a townhouse and let me tell you, my kitchen is twice as small as yours and my rent is a little over $1000 for a one bedroom 🤦🏾♀️ your home is beautiful
Thank you for sharing. I feel so depressed at times, but like you said I control my happiness as long as I continue to believe in God I know I got this. Thank you for reminding me of that.💕
MY PLEASURE YOU GOT THIS MS. LENA 😘😘🥰
@@PeachMcIntyre just want to thank you! Peach you honestly make me feel like it's going to be ok in this world
I'M TELLING YOU, I NEVER SEEN A PROJECT APARTMENT SO BIG AND NICE, WHERE I'M FROM, THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE YOURS
IKR where I’m from they didn’t either but they remodeled them and there nice cause they didn’t have central h/A but now they do these are really nice tho
Exactly in ky they are nothin like this they are rough
They surely don’t look like that here in AL
They have 4bedrooms in Miami Projects 🤷🏾♀️
Not in NYC either.
Love your feedback peach, keep on doing what you do...Big Bag Big Bank...........
I love hand washing my dishes. Put some detergent and bleach in the water... turn on my music and I’m good to go. I also light a lemon scented candle after I cook. It helps get rid of the lingering food smell. ☺️
SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO ME 😘😘🥰
Ohhh I'm gonna buy a lemon candle I didnt know that. Cant stand smelling onions hours later.
YES BLEACH IN THE CLEANING WATER !
Peaches that don't look like a project apartment it looks like a home it's so big and spacious also very very well kept peaches that pink stool it's the same one I want to buy for my daughter from Burlington and one more thing I definitely hand wash my dishes with dish detergent and bleach for me I feel like they get cleaner that way talk to you later baby girl next video
I KNOW THAT’S RIGHT MS. LYNELLE BLEACH & DISH DETERGENT ME DOWN 😂😂😂
I hand wash dishes with bleach because if I don't add the bleach it does not seem sanitary... I live alone but I still sanitize everything and that was years and years before this virus thing happened to us all.
That home reminds me of how my mom Kept our place when we lived in public housing when I was younger. Beautiful!!
I’m Mexican and wash my dishes by hand. All the time. I hate the dish washer. They don’t clean well. I like clean dishes!
I see you ALL the time on my TL! And this is the video that made me sub. After years of seeing you. Love it! Motivation! I’m no hater here. Get it!!!!!
This isnt really considered the projects in my opinion. This is more like "based on income" housing.
db60615 Well she would know if she was in the projects? Which is why she said it's how you LIVE, not where you live? But I can see how you may view it.
Da project that's been around do not look like this inside I wish my kitchen and living room did have all that space! keep it real!! This had to be built in the early 2000s
Also Watched this looks very modernized I’m sure the place was built less than 10 years
FYI that project and income based housing are the same thing
Your opinion ain't fact though. You just who this video is for. People who can't seem to believe ppl can live in a decent place because it's referred to as a "projects". All of the developments are not the same.
Best housing authority I’ve seen
THANK YOU 😘😘🥰
Girl!!! Foreal!!! 💯
I had to see cause baby they throw us in some slum,if I ever become rich I'ma build ours up why we gotta leave with roaches etc build us up
@Louise Walls no fl is garbage. All the projects down here are being torn down. Thankgod
Boston has remodeled most of their housing and many look like this if not better...
I loved this video!!! Very inspiring. Me and my wife are being forced to move out of our house into a cheaper apartment, because rent is going up. This video really helps me remember that “it’s not where you live, it’s how you live.” Much love and blessings to you!
Just here to support to make sure you get that million. Keep pushing
