This is the question on so many Mini owners' minds. I've seen it come up again and again anywhere people are discussing the new MP4. And as one making the transition from M3P to M4P, I've appreciated being able to see the evolution through the different iterations, all in one video.
I’ve got a mini 2, and this comparison really gives me a good sense of if I should upgrade. I live in Canada near the Rockies, but I can’t fly my drone in national parks, so I don’t think I am. Great video btw!

Thanks for this. I have the 2SE and upgraded to the M4P. Love this drone. Great upgrade. Now with that, I will be picking up the Air 3. Why you ask.... the second camera. I had the opportunity to use a co-workers Air 3 and really enjoyed the second camera feature. Of course I have to wait a bit so save up for the Air3 but who knows maybe the Air 4 will be coming out by then. Tnx agn for this.

Great comparison for those struggling to decide if they want to upgrade or not.
For the Mini 2 SE...yes! Time to upgrade. Mini 3 Pro...not so much but maybe. I love the Air 3 and the Mini 4 Pro. I'd go with either of them. The Mini 4 Pro has an appeal to me because of the shared batteries. I wish the DJI RC would work with both the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3 even if I could only use the OS3 distance. 12km is fine for me! I'd love to have both of those in my fleet.
I just love how small the mini is 😍 so compact for travelling!
I have a mini 2, with 4k 30 fps. Having a mini drone in the Uk is beneficial as less restrictive. However, instead of getting another mini drone in the mini 4 pro, I have decided to get the Air 3. I can’t see the point in buying a mini 4 pro and then stop flying the mini 2. Will use mini 2 in built up areas and air 3 in the countryside where I mostly fly.

I think it doesn't matter which model is better, I think the important thing is to know for one to occupy it and the creativity that one has.

To upgrade from mini 2 SE is definitely worth it. The main question then only about the weight, for travel I'll upgrade to Mini 4 at all times.

I got the mini 2 se about two months ago as my first drone and it's really great. But as the mini 4 pro got released, I just couldn't resist and had to buy this little bird too! Massive upgrade and I have no regrets! 😉

I still have the original Mini and use it regularly. I love it. When I get to upgrade, I will stick with the mini formats as these work best for me.
All dji drones are great but your way of telling make their usage more enjoying. 😊
I recently got the Mini 2 SE and I can't even tell you how happy I am that I chose it to start with (at least given the amount of money I spent) of course the mini 4 pro would be much better with its obstacle avoidance but it is way more expensive. That said the Mini 2 SE take way better photos and video than you might think. It is definitely the best drone for the price point. Is it time to upgrade? Well if you win the contest then the answer is yes. If operating in a professional capacity then upgrading is probably a good idea. If not the SE is still great, you just need to be careful with obstacles.
Mini 4 is a beast of a drone. Would love to have it one day. Always, great video Dan!!
i purchased the m4p w rc2 and then i got the mavic mini then mini 2 and now the air3. i will keep them all but the air 3 and m4p both work off the same rc2 thats wonderful!

I still have the Mini 2, the Mini 4 would be a great upgrade but one that i can't afford yet.
It's definitely doing a lot better job because of no branches. Henrik tried to do a similar video to this one and failed, because there was too many small branches, and the drone clipped a branch.
We all know what happens when a drone clips a branch.

You can't go wrong with the Mini series of drones, loved my Mini 2 but I love my Mavic 3 even more 😆
I’ve had the mini se since 2022. I like using litchi with it. I’m a Part 107 pilot so I need something with a little more punch in the camera. Out of these, the Air 3 would be my pick with the great camera options and it being a bigger airframe compared to the mini series

I think the main advantage of the mini 4 pro is the omni directional obstacle avoidance and the range, great video.

Mini 4 is a very good choice for someone who travels❤️. The reason is ease of carrying. Air 3 is good for production work🔥. This is also not a big problem when traveling. as a traveler, I would say that the Mini 4 is better. But I haven't used either of them yet.😅

As a starter drone the Mini2SE really makes more sense in as much as learning on a more costly model can be, well, more costly. For an intermediate to expert flyer a more capable option. Any true expert or pro flyer is going to want the max capabilities for their particular type of shooting.
so torn between the air 3 and mini 4 pro, the telephoto on the air 3 i could imagine has some unique shots

It would seem that drone technology (across several manufacturers) is advancing at a rate more rapidly than personal computers and perhaps even cell phones.
All in all they are great!
And to actually think if it's time to upgrade you have to ask yourself: Are you content on your current drone? And Do you have the money to upgrade to another drone?
Well here's a word that I can give you: "If you're content just keep, if lousy continue but if you're a pro you should just get a shoot".
As a Filipino drone enthusiast the only thing that matters aside from money and systems is the pilot themselves, since you don't need fancy objects to function if you are skilled already.
And also what the heck the air series is supposed to be silent and adding a weightier camera really stretches the word silent.

I love my Air2S and it's 1 inch sensor. The images are incredible. But that Mini 4 Pro would be so useful for many situations.

i think I would prefer the smaller body, but not sure it's worth the higher price tag (despite the other more advanced features).
It was a step up from the original Mini but isn’t a pinch on the Mini 3 or 4 for it’s capabilities.

It’s hard enough to find places to fly in Sydney with a sub 250g drone. I wouldn’t want to restrict myself even further. That said, better resolution and image quality would be amazing.
I wonder if you can fly with the DJI mini 4 pro gimbal cover on Because it look's like the gimbal has space to still move around.

Both of if them have their pros and cons, depends in which situation you need them.

I haven't had the desire to upgrade to the Mini 3 Pro, and definitely not the Mini 3, but I must say that the Mini 4 Pro really is tempting. The Air 3 as well, but in both cases, the price tags are holding me back, so I'll probably have to wait, until the Mini 2, will no longer fly, or hopefully until I win your giveaway 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
