Sophia’s book is wonderful. Selah you are growing up so fast and I love seeing you working on the farm with your goats and seeing you cook and enjoying learning other cultures. I find it is amazing how many people all over the world love Asian culture, I am one of them too.
Selah, you’re learning so fast, and love to see that you are embracing the Asian culture! When I wrote the book, it was for the children, and it brings tears to my eyes seeing that other children are able to share in our traditional and nourishing recipes. We love you and your family so much!! God bless you! ❤❤
How wonderfully nurishing: Not only the meal, but also learning parts of the culture like language, appreciating the music and the arts! Perhaps coating the chicken strips in cornstarch would have given that crunch Mike was looking for. Or add in some nice water chestnuts? I have seen an Australian who has grown water chestnuts with success (channel Self Sufficently Me on UA-cam) but I have not attempted them here in NW Georgia. I think it's great to try other cuisines and immerse yourself in other cultures - in general, American society is not as worldly-wise as our European or Asian counterparts. Experiencing culture in this way helps connect us in ways we rarely expect. I was stationed in South Korea for a year in the 1990s and really enjoyed the language, culture, food, and people. More than 30 years later, I worked with a lady who was born and raised very close to where I was stationed and we became fast friends. She became a happy auntie to my youngest son, sharing Korean treats with him and giving us advice.
What an amazing Daughter Salah is- embrace every single culture you can- Live, Learn, Love that is my motto. I am Australian with strong Aboriginal heritage in my family but I grow & eat everything I can to learn other cultures. WAY TO GO SALAH 🥰🥰 Cheers Denise- Australia
Food absolutely does being people together. God's good table was an amazing conference, and it very much emphasized that. I will carry those memories forever,I remember her speaking there too 😊
Sophia’s book is wonderful. The story of how her family transitioned to whole food from scratch kitchen is powerful. It’s the perfect companion to nourishing traditions.
That was a great video! I enjoyed the whole thing but was extra excited to see Selah cook!! I'm thinking about getting the cookbook. The salad that Selah made has me curious. Do you remember the name of it? I hope to see Selah in the kitchen more! She's a natural 😍
Hi.... MIKE DICKSON AND LACEY and your daughter to and nice to see you all love watching your video homestead chicken 🐓 duck 🦆 goose dog 🐕 farmer garden BYE 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
It’s great to look and respect other cultures, even such as your own, I have much respect for the homesteading/ religious like style that yo7 practice.
We are a Asian Hispanic home and so enjoy the dishes from both cultures. Just ordered a copy of the cookbook, can never have enough of them 😂. Wish we could make the Jamboree but other commitments already in place. Blessings to all of the families and thank you for sharing so much knowledge and friendship.😊
Selah good job!!!! Living here in Hawaii, I have taught myself how to cook Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Thai ect. It's so fun and keeps food interesting. Keep it up, its a blessing to be able to share your love of cooking with others. ❤
Love that you are learning about the Culture. I too love Asian food and really enjoy cooking the food as well as using a wok. Many of my dinners are made with vegetables that I cook in my wok. And about four years ago I gave up using silverware and use only chopsticks. I just don't have a clue why i ever use metal utensils in my mouth to eat food. I cringe when I think about it. Lol. But the fact that you are learning at a young age gives you a head start on everything about the culture. Im proud of you for learning something new and learning the language is really impressive. Best of luck to you on your Journey. By the way, your food looks AMAZING.🥰❤️
That looks amazing Selah, great job! You blossomed into a beautiful young lady!! I also really enjoyed that song that was playing while u were cooking.
I love that your children are learning about other cultures and their cuisine. If you’re ever in Northern California my husband can teach you the Mexican cuisine.
Hahaha, growing pain, I am an Asian Christian female. You are just beautiful and need to be so thankful to your parents for who you are and both of your parent is believe in Christ, that is the most amazing thing. Growing up in Buddha country, and bad can happen to woman all the time, when I was growing up, girls do not go to a school middle school up or elementary school. Do not wish for things . Just thankful for who you are. Love in Christ,

🍜Selah, you are an awesome young lady. I’m impressed that you like to cook and learn to speak other languages/cuisines other than American. Cucumbers~ saw for the second time today that there is another recall on cucumbers. Grow your own! Seeing your little guy with a cuke reminded me of when my son was about 2 or 3 and he would head out to the garden and pick a cucumber and would walk around all day long munching on that cucumber! Thanks for sharing your family and friends. annyeonghi gaseyo.
