@@hollynelson543 Totally agree 🙌🏻❤️🎯 The person or persons that gifted the awesome tent to Mike and his family are a God send 😇😇🥳 Be blessed Mike and family 😇🙌🏻
I think everyone should have an alternative for sleeping in an emergency situation . Face it , the power grid in a lot of places are sub standard. We have three tents and enough bedding to sleep everyone. We have air beds , folding cots, and a way to cook. We can cook on cast iron if needed. Yes with a little extra you can insulate tents for colder temps. We are not promised one thing and things can change in a blink of an eye. Being prepared for change is the best preparation we can have .
Awesome yurt, homestead, family You guys rock Mike i really enjoyed meeting you and your family at the clound 9 homestead event. Heartwarming to see 2 fine boys helping their dad.... and mom
Been watching for a long time. I have learned so much from your video's. Your truly blessed. I have medical issues but managed to grown vegs and have fruit trees and have back yard chickens im not always able to tend to the so grandkids help.thank you for sharing your video's!!
So I can really relate to this…we live in an actual tiny house and now that we’ve had 2 kids it’s gotten too small for us all and we bought a 2 story barn/shed we’re slowly converting into our new home. But it’s taking us a while too because of costs but we really are excited to eventually move into a new larger space. I’m excited to see your new yurt whenever you get it set up and how you’ll use it along with your current yurt! I met you after your talk at HOA last year and it was really nice meeting you!
I saw where someone on another channel to help control mosquitoes had mosquito fish to help control them. They at first had them in a fish tank outside in their open greenhouse. They said that they multiply quickly so you don’t need a lot of them. You have a pond and a kiddie pool so that could work for your homestead. Just a thought. Selah is such a beautiful young lady. All of your children have really grown up since I first saw your channel years ago. God is good. Thank you Lacey and Mike for bringing up your children as you do. ❤❤❤
Camping at home is fun when you're young. Its the feeling of sleeping in the open, but safe in your own backyard. And if the weather gets crazy, the house isn't too far away.
😂 I rewatched like 5x sweet little Hezekiah running into the tent wall and falling busting out laughing each time. Lacie you and I were pregnant at the same time so I too am watching my own 15mo old Mia acting like a total goofball stumbling this way and that as she develops her balance. What a blessing it is to watch our little ones find their way 🙏🏼
My kids always slept like rocks when they were little. But outside in a tent the were awake earlier and went to bed later. Just the opposite of your little man.
Hey Guys I love your content. Just a suggestion. Spray your tent and rain cover with a silicone rain guard. My first Cub Scout camping trip resulted in a river flowing through the middle of my tent. Me and my son were soaked. (14 years of spraying all my tents with it, and no issues.)
Yep sleeping on the ground or firm surface is healthy! And fresh air bonus! I noticed the shoes seemed a lil akward. We put a folded up tarp or a doormat or outdoor rug at the door of the tent so we can put shoes off and on there.
That is one mean machete! We use white noise to calm our Great Pyrenees, he was in the house when he was about 18 months old, when part of our roof blew off! Ever since then, he hates storms! He even comes and “asks” to have his “special music” turned on. He sleeps peacefully in the bathroom when he has his special music drowning out the thunder!
You need a "swing blade" for those weeds. Long years ago, when i could not start the mower, the swing blade sure was handy, and it even sent the snakes a long way off when the blade hit them. I really liked keeping it super sharp.
Awesome chores and getting stuff done while lil' Hez took a nap. Tents are fun !! , family fun. I loved the bird sounds in the day and now the bug sounds at night and then to the roosters crowing !!
Mint repels tiny indoor ants as well. They just disappear after 2 or 3 days. I use Dr. Bronner's peppermint castile liquid soap. I mix it with water in a spray bottle and spray it where I've seen them like on the counter and near the outside door. Works like a charm. And because it's a gentle soap it's easy to wipe up after the ants get the memo haha. God bless you all. Hugs from Italy. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
We don’t deal with mosquitoes that much but we do deal with ticks. There are so many ticks in our yard. There’s like millions and I am not hyper blocked on that because if you step one step in the grass, you already got basically 20 ticks on you.
Don’t ever leave the ground cloth exposed outside the tent edges. If it rains all the water will run off the tent, onto the ground cloth and flood the tent
I appreciate your goals for homestead living and majoring on your family. As an old man I feel I would be remiss to not suggest you get a paying job. All those children deserve a more secure existence and that yurt ain’t gonna wurk forever.
When zipping up the tent put the zip end up the top this way, young children can't open the zips them selves. This is great when camping or as you're doing. As for the mosquitoes adding vitamin B1 to your diet, the mozies don't like the taste. You may get little bites, but they want to stay long enough to give you big welts.
Thank you whom ever sent this wonderful family this tent. You are a blessig.❤😊

We are having EEE here in Massachusetts!
Careful of mosquitos.

Fresh air sleeping is often the best. Having fun in a tent with the kids is a great time of memories for both the parents and the kids. .
Memories of being broke. This is their real life, not just a vacation. Homeless people live in tents.

Your baby boy is so precious Thanks for sharing with us❤❤❤❤
Mike, I have been watching you and your family since the beginning. You all have built an admirable, good life. Great example and Good Stuff!
Scrambled in the oan is what we call country scrambled!
You need to use a scythe; it works great for that type of weeds and brambles.
You need a "swing blade" for those weeds. Long years ago, when i could not start the mower, the swing blade sure was handy, and it even sent the snakes a long way off when the blade hit them. I really liked keeping it super sharp.

How about putting up the shell of the other yurt as a sturdy tent for all those activities for now??😊
It doesn't work like that.
@@MikeTheFitFarmer oh. Ok. I’ll be praying God provides soon.
I love my ten didn’t put it up this summer but last summer I did and slept in it all summer
Awesome video 😊
Love the conquering the jungle music!
Vanilla extract and water in a spray bottle keeps mosquitoes at bay
Could It be the alcohol content in the vanilla?? 🤔
Thanks

Camemile tea work real good on your pest. Sun brew it, add to spray bottle. Clothing or skin, and no deet in it. Better for you.
