About Anjelah:
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes was born and raised in San Jose, California where she grew up with four siblings in a large extended family to which she remains close. Anjelah found herself an internet sensation and pioneer in viral UA-cam videos when her notorious “Nail Salon” bit from a local comedy show was posted and received over 100 million views! Shortly thereafter she was added to the cast on the original MADtv where she trademarked her legendary character, Bon Qui Qui. Similar to the nail salon video, the Bon Qui Qui sketch caught on and have been viewed by over 75 million people. The multi-hyphenate’s popularity has translated into four successful comedy specials: That’s How We Do It” (Comedy Central), The Homecoming Show (NUVO TV), Not Fancy (Netflix) and Mahalo & Good Night (Epix). She has displayed her acting prowess both on TV and film. Some of her credits include “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Superstore,” “Moms’ Night Out,” and “Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.” Her first book was published in 2022, Who Do I Think I Am: Stories of Chola Wishes and Caviar Dreams, a hilarious and touching memoir full of memorable anecdotes on how a Latina dynamo was able to forge ahead and become successful.

I am happy you have a relationship like I had with my sister. We would talk and not talk constantly on the phone. One time I forgot I was talking to her, and then I heard her on my back pocket! Whoops!! Sisters!! I lost my sister last month. My life will never be the same. Thank you for this bit about sisters. It brought a smile to my face, and made me laugh.

I have 3 older sisters, sadly we're not all that close. I have a different dad then they did. So they all have a bond, that the 4 of us don't share. I am somewhat close with one of them, she actually tries to include me. The whole half sister thing was never a thing to me. I never introduced them that way, or felt that they were only half. They are my sisters period. Just wish they felt the same way about me. I'm glad you get to share that type of relationship with your sister, its very special I'm sure. :) I enjoyed being the baby of 4, except when they decided to try new experiments and I was the test subject lol.

When your daughter becomes an adult, you will do this and have the same type of relationship where you are just there for one another. I only had one child and my daughter is incredible and I love to just hang on FaceTime with her. I love just watching things my grandchildren do. My granddaughter is almost 18 months and she just takes the phone and walks all around the house with me on FaceTime and sometimes she just sets the phone who knows where and my daughter will be in another room and I’m like “Ryan…Ryan…..your daughter forgot Nana on the phone…”😂🤣😂🤣it’s hilarious! I absolutely love being a mom and and nana. I have the best life!
Cherish these moments with your sister. We lost our little sister due to a DV related car accident almost 4 years ago and I never would have realized the severity of loss that you feel at the loss of a sibling. We miss our little sister so much and little things like FaceTime calls or just cooking dinner together via FaceTime or whatever….i miss those moments. My mama and I are raising her 3 daughters together (it takes a village) and this morning I am running her now 5 year old to dance class. She was only 1 when her mama died. She also has a now 13 year old and 17 year old as well as two young adult sons. We get the blessing of raising her girls and we do our best to honor her memory and be there for her children. I know TMI…just cherish these moments. They mean the world when in an instant those moments can be gone. Hugs and blessings. Thanks so much for your laughter…you truly brought laughter into my life when I needed it the most. You have a gift that goes beyond the gift of laughter….you bring inspiration, fun, you bring relief when it’s most needed. Thanks for being you girl! When my little sister got married, she would call me at work to get a recipe for something. She wanted to have a hot fresh meal for her husband. She called me and asked for my recipe for mashed potatoes!!! I just went over and showed her how. Y'all have a great bond and it's funny seeing how y'all talk on the phone...lol 😂😂 I found my sister about 7 or 8 years ago.. we lost track after our dad passed away and she was living with her mom and I lived with my grandma...our dad's mom...anyway when she found out I was a Christian and she had other beliefs after that she pretty much quit talking to me... although she lives about 30 minutes away..we haven't talked since...I dont even have a number or know how to get ahold of her... So refreshing to see y'all have a great relationship... Love you Anjelah...you make me laugh and I would love to see you live one day...if you ever do another show!!! @@jennym2276 everytime we see a new mexican restaurant here in Canada we try it and it's always meh. (We are foodies and love lots of flavour) The first time we went to Buffalo we tried La Tolteca and it was so good we can't eat mexican in Canada any more lol So everytime we go to Buffalo we have to eat there, best mexican food we've ever had 🤤 Yes, thanks, I googled it. Looks so good. I've never had mexican soup and I love soup, so it'll be a must-try!
