    Nice design 👏🏾👏🏾 love the power/mode switch interface. Love the down light. Would it make me give up the 10000mah of my LR60? Probably not 🤔

      That's fair, Both are definitely good lanterns, but with Nitecore discontinuing that product I would say this is a decent alternative if you do not want to wait for them to release another lantern, assuming they do.

    Fenix CL26R Pro vs Sofirn LT1S Pro, which one would you choose?

      @@lae212I’ve got Sofirn LT1S, because it’s much cheaper and it has more features that I personally find useful for myself at this time. Very satisfied.

      Fenix has a better circuit design, and better quality components and plastics. It cost the double for a reason...

    Does this lantern operate normally with a standard 21700 battery, without the overload protection circuit? Does it charge normally?
    I use Samsung 40T batteries in all my devices requiring a 21700 cell.
    I understand Fenix doesn't want the liability of leaving an unprotected 21700 in the hands of the general public, but the Fenix protected 21700 cell that comes installed is virtually unfindable, and isn't correctly priced anyway.
    Thank you for the review...

      We would only recommend the protected battery as that is what is tested for the lamp, however, I personally would imagine it would work just the same, but again, we have not tested that claim.

    Nice review but I thought this light is 650 lumens?

    • @LonghornTactical
      @LonghornTactical  11 місяців тому

      In total, you are right! Combining the highest down output with the highest lantern mode will achieve 650 lumens of brightness.

    No IT IS NOT THE BEST LANTERN FROM FENIX. I have one. I like it, but I cannot stand they branded their name right on the white portion of the lantern and try turning it on with one hand, not too easy as it you have turn the dial. Much harder than a push button. Again, I like it, but was disappointed. Bad design choices in my sense.
