If I take an average of the processes from a few days after using the script, then the improvement is not as good as the first measurement suggests. I don’t think I ever reached cutting in half yet, but I guess it varies a lot. A lot of people report a very big improvement. (If I understand correctly, this all comes from just the service tweaks part of the script?)
Most tweak tools never make that big of a difference unless your machine is really old or resource starved. I haven't used this so I can't say. I love that spirit. Keep it up - I love seeing you make it an easier time for people to regain freedom. I know I didn't have a pleasant time ripping out the stuff out of windblows....
Thanks Titus (& Team!) for this awesome utility! There were similar scripts in the past which made the system buggy. No problems with your script on win11 whatsoever.
I would like one change. When you click update all apps, I would like that script scans the Windows, shows the list of apps detected for an update and gives you an option to uncheck specific app you do not want to update. Once one app updated that should not have (because of extension compability issue) and I needed to downgrade the app. Anyway Chris and all of the people helping developing this script THANK YOU 😁👍
I've been having no end of issues after "upgrading" to Windows 11 about two weeks back. Things were running slow, my browsers were stuttering, and generally my once-snappy machine was a steaming pile of slow-moving sludge. After running a few tweaks and a restart my laptop is running like a champ! Thanks for what you do!
Just did this on my 3 year old install of Windows 10/11. I recently just switched from Intel to AMD as well with a 7950x and while Windows is very snappy I still noticed I was using 10GB of RAM doing nothing and had 260+ processes running. I ran your tool, clicked Desktop and did all the tweaks recommended and it went to 230 processes running (I assume this is mainly because I have iCUE, Precision X1, and other things always running), and saved 3.5GB of RAM just sitting at the desktop. Huge improvement. I will say that BitDefender thought this was an attack on my system but I knew it wasn't haha. Thank you for this.
I followed one of your minimal win 10 installs a couple years ago , my fps in games went from 180 to 220 and runs so much better, I’m getting close to another reset / reinstall unsure if 10 or 11 . Just want to say you are the best tech guy on UA-cam I have ever seen, thank you
Thanks Chris and all those that contributed to the toolbox! I barely use Windows these days, but like knowing if I need to the toolbox is available, and keeps improving.
Great work Chris, I dont know who is running Windows 1.0 *cough* 11 but great work no matter what :P All jokes aside your script found 26 apps needing updating. Again great work to upgrade all apps at once!
As someone who is stuck on a Hell Inspiron i5 7300HQ and 1050, this is a godsend. I usually do this manually every time I play Skyrim with 250+mods to keep me sane(I can't use my hands and right arm properly at the mo). One thing I will add to the pool of to-do's, for those that don't FULLY understand the features/workings of the processes and services they might think they want to disable, you should have an overview panel show the benefits and downsides to disabling permanently...and also maybe a saved profile settings file you can load up for certain tasks? Keep up the great work bud and I'll be watching closely.
I have reason to believe this is not fully un-doing changes. The biggest tell is during fullscreen gaming. Pre-implementation, alt tab behaved normally and fast with minimal flickering, stuttering, etc when closing or opening. After running the tool they act like I disabled full screen optimizations and have tons of flickering, stuttering, etc and bog the entire machine down and takes much longer to perform the alt tab. I undid the changes and the games are still behaving the same. Also I'm noticing the running process amount is staying low like the changes are still in effect. Please advise
I've been calling microsofts' operating system "Broken Windows" since XP but Chris you helped turn Windows into something that actually works really well. Thank you so much!!!! Subscribed. 👍👍
Cutting windows processes in half is mainly done by grouping them (i.e. _SvcHostSplitThresholdInKB_ ), but in doing so you aren't really improving the overall performance, right?
Thanks for doing some more updates to it! I have a few old mid-late 00s computers that I've been using this script on and it seems to help them out a lot. Especially when the max RAM cap on some of them have been 4GB.
I'm 61, not a power user and just did retire my 2006 Dell 520 Pentium 4 Windows 7 dinosaur. I have 2 newer machines now that I am installing Windows 10 on but the vast amount of unneeded programs and apps and the amount of Microsoft intrusiveness has blown me away. I'm following your guides to remove and disable some of them and cut the processes down to 128 so far. I found that when installing a fresh install it is best to not have an internet connection and not link to a Microsoft account. It made removing OneDrive much easier. I followed instructions to remove Edge using PS, GP editor and doing some reg edit but Edge is still listed on the apps list. Seems like Microsoft is on the trail to make Edge total removal more difficult, but I thank you guys for these tutorials and helping me to learn how to reduce some resource hogs and snoopiness of Microsoft Windows.
THANK YOU! SO much better than so many other video that come up when looking for optimizing windows (many videos with those weird titles of "200% more performance" or "double fps"...)

Thanks for all you do for us poor windows users. I'm working on becoming more proficient with Blender and I know Linux would be better, but I'm just not ready to take on both adjustments (switching from lightwave to blender) at once. I am planning to install a second boot drive on my computer for Linux to run my renders on and that will be the beginning of my transition from windows forever. I just got a new Windows 10 computer it started at 150 processes, I ran you software and that took it down to 100, but still a lot going on. Am I doing something wrong? I see you mentioning getting it down to 40 odd in videos, can you tell me if I've missed something, or is there another video you can point me to that will help me bring that down? Thanks again. I've been watching you for years and you are one of the few that gives advice I really trust.

In Legacy Windows Panel you should make them so you can also make a quick shortcut on desktop for example, so it stays and you don't have to open CTT. Just my two cents.
I ran just the general desktop tweaks, and, it didn't do a drastic change like I was expecting, but even on my custom built ROG PC, my Win11 processes have come down from 250-ish to 220's and my system is noticeably snappier. thank you for this tool :)

Amazing I have been waiting for something like this for years, and after that statement you made at 9:23 I instantly subbed haha, thank you
Have been using this script for a extremely long period, since the early versions... Have ran it on all my company's pc & laptops... Got really good results. 👍🏾
I tell everyone that's having trouble with their computer being slow to run your toolbox. it's amazing.
I love that spirit. Keep it up - I love seeing you make it an easier time for people to regain freedom. I know I didn't have a pleasant time ripping out the stuff out of windblows....
Thank you for making this utility it is extremely helpful!
Thanks Titus (& Team!) for this awesome utility! There were similar scripts in the past which made the system buggy. No problems with your script on win11 whatsoever.
you are the best windows related channel on youtube, you are criminally undersubbed and viewed
Bro you re the best man, no other tech youtuber can come to your level.
Just want to say you are the best tech guy on UA-cam I have ever seen, thank you
For me Windows 11 stops Throttlestop from undervolting. The only solution was to go back to Windows 10
Truly EPIC utility CTT, well done. Essential imo, bravo.
Wow this is fantastic! Love the tool. I appreciate everyone involved in making this what it is.
Thanks Chris and all those that contributed to the toolbox! I barely use Windows these days, but like knowing if I need to the toolbox is available, and keeps improving.
Just this, thank you Chris for your devotion and passion long live Chris Titus Tech.
Amazing work Chris!
Great work Chris, I dont know who is running Windows 1.0 *cough* 11 but great work no matter what :P All jokes aside your script found 26 apps needing updating. Again great work to upgrade all apps at once!
> Titus Kill UAC ! Thanks for the excellent work, am back in your support/subscription loop - Titus is amazin!
Why ?
My Clevo laptop feel much better now. The .exe files is cheap and made the job quickly. Thank you guys for your work.
THANKS CHRIS, THE TOOL WORKED GREAT FOR MY LAPTOP. PROCESSES DROPPED FROM 184 TO 110. I AM CSGO PLAYER, GAME RUNS SMOOTHLY NOW. GOD BLESS 👍
Thank you chris for this utility update.
Really appreciate what you're doing, save me a lot of times
Your utility is a must-run after every Windows update.
thank you very much, because of your channel I can learn windows 10 custom👍👍
Can’t wait for you to completely gut out UAC and windows defender!!!! Being a sole gamer I love your stuff
Seems like Microsoft is on the trail to make Edge total removal more difficult, but I thank you guys for
these tutorials and helping me to learn how to reduce some resource hogs and snoopiness of Microsoft Windows.
THANK YOU!
SO much better than so many other video that come up when looking for optimizing windows (many videos with those weird titles of "200% more performance" or "double fps"...)
This man is a my windows savior for my work installs!
Thank you Chris for your hard work!!
You are the Windows Master Optimizer.
Thank you always for this script.
U made it simple man ur subscribers are well deserved
heyy i been using ur tool kits since day 1 and love them
i tried to access ur old ones but they aren't active
do u plan on bring back dark mode , delete cortana, and delete one drive
also for ur app package downloader it works only 50% of the time(it runs loads up then never shows up on system)
plus that ear trumpet add is a must have lol
also pot player is a must have(its a hardware video player) it actually beats vlc
Will it be compatible with upcoming 22H2 update for win11?
I‘m sure it is. If something doesn‘t work, you will see it in red font. But Titus uses powershell and this works on both win10 and 11.
I've been watching you for years and you are one of the few that gives advice I really trust.
this is a great project mate, thanks for your efforts
from 160+ to 90/97 running processes!... freaking bonkers!! :D
only thing I didnt like that I applied was: remove windows animations, after that it looked like windows was throwing stuffs on my face xD haha
no biggie, turned those back in.
Good Work as always, man.
Keep it up! :)
Wow. This is amazing. Thank you Chris. This really helped me!!
Thanks a lot i can really feel the difference the windows is now snappier than before really love you and your videos.
In Legacy Windows Panel you should make them so you can also make a quick shortcut on desktop for example, so it stays and you don't have to open CTT. Just my two cents.
Yea!! When you click the mini icon next to the clock on the bottom right
Thanks worked amazing it helped im happy i found your channel and been subbed for a while now :)
Thank you soooo much for this. I really love this tool. I did have glitches in the old versions but the features are great.
This cleans up the LTSC version of Win 10 to a tiny footprint - Thank you Chris & the team behind this project
I ran just the general desktop tweaks, and, it didn't do a drastic change like I was expecting, but even on my custom built ROG PC, my Win11 processes have come down from 250-ish to 220's and my system is noticeably snappier. thank you for this tool :)
Your toolbox doesn't mention it will disable the clipboard history (which I use A LOT) and make my browser "managed by an organization".
Chris, you're a legend! Cheers 😁
from 250 processes to 150 when freshly booting up , that's a welcoming change , thank you!
Great job Chris, you did it again ;)
love this tool Chris, i bought the .exe ,just as a thank you for the hard work you do and all youve taught me
Thanks Chris! This guide cut my processes by 40%.
great tools chris, thank you for ur hard work
first video of the day. have asub. you saved me a ton of headache
FYI, if you're using winget to upgrade installations, note that it has a tendency to delete your settings for the apps it upgrades.
