"The ejection seat… everything works"
*pulls yellow handle
*patches hole in roof
*builds new, cosmetic seat
It's a real motivator to succeed in the missions I'll bet.
😂
DundeeDriver i was going to ask if after he pulls the face curtain does the roof open up to fire the seat...lol
*apologizes to wife for mess
*remembers has no wife, goes back for another run.
I'm a Hawg driver in real life and this thing is crazy in its accuracy. I've seen the more recent updates on Instagram and your knack for making everything work very close to reality is to be commended. Great work, thanks for doing my baby justice!
Chris Andreychik do you play dcs?
Charlie Alpha 11F3B Could you get him a ride?
I was in Afghanistan with army special forces back right after 9-11. You guys are the heat. The air Force is retarded for wanting to replace the A10. Years ago I got to participate in CAS training with an ATAC . We gave the hawgs from Pope a difficult target for their gun run. The atac wanted to show us how to think about the pilots perspective when giving a target grid. The hawgs were linen up wrong after their release point (we could see it from the ground) so we sent a correction and all they had to do was a quick jog of the wings and they were dead on. Love the burrrrrp!
I'm a marine and you guys were doing some training with a couple of those hawgs at camp lejune one day several years ago.me and 15 other Marines were sitting on a log at the wood line eating chow and we seen the hawgs flying around an thought nothing about it... UNTILL... You guys shot the cannon off and I'll tell ya,those trees intensified the sound and we all jumped up,took off running at the same time cause we thought our asses had been had!! After a few seconds of our gunny laughing at us,he said..I knew that was gonna happen, just didn't know when..GOOD TIMES!!! We Marines have RESPECT for the A-10's
"Im a hawg driver in real life" You mean pilot? nice try though.
When I learned to fly the A10 twenty years ago, we had no simulator. First flight was for real and solo! Great job on the build!
All you got left is a 3-axis motion control actuation system! Very nice setup!
One of the best home built sims I’ve ever seen, great job mate.
I showed my wife this video, her comment was simply “No!”
What I got was "Don't. Even. Think. About. It."
Seriously, I'm a 737 pilot and this sim amazes me. Good work.
I feel your pain mate.......mine said the same thing.
HAHAHA lol . Awesome
a big slap in her face
@@csakbencee Dude you have not met her - she would beat you till you wept for mercy.
This is the best home pit I've ever seen, and an the work you have done is absolutely top-notch. The dedication and ingenuity really show, and I'm very happy to be able to see the project.
Very kind of you to also show how you made it, instead of jealously guarding your know-how. You are a very cool dude, sir :)
Where's the cup holder? Just kidding. That's freaking brilliant.
It's in the ride-hand side panel.. at 2:07 look at the bottom of the screen where the remote is.
That thing is crazy good. And here I thought I'd be clever one of these days and build a switchbox or two. Hats off to you, sir, well done.
That's exactly how this all started. It was two little switch boxes. It just kept getting bigger!
This is one of the best setups i've seen!
Ohhhh Myyyy Looord!!!.... I took my nephew to a CAP cadet show and they had a B-1 simulator. He was in left seat, we had the greatest time.
Many hours of work here. Truly remarkable, beautiful job. Would love one of these one day.
Excellent project! Your enthusiasm and dedication are evident in this final product and you are indeed worthy of praise for your effort!!
This is amazing. The best homecockpit what i seen ever! Great work.
Ahhh, the good old ACES II ejection seat. Very Nice.
I found your channel by chance when I clicked on the video about making panels with the laser cutter. I am truly in awe at the level of detail, and the sheer scope of this build.
lol me too and now I need this :)
Hahaha 😂 guys!... I did the EXACT same thing!
Retired USAF aircraft maintainer here.. Have you ever thought about doing remove before fight pins for the seat? Would add even more realism. You are awesome.
This is absolutely amazing! I can't imagine all the hours you have into making that thing become a working sim cockpit.
Wouldn't it be easier to just get a real A-10? ;-p
There's a Pic-a-part in Arizona that might have something... 🙃
Dude, thats so amazing. And im so happy that I could see this beauty being built. At least part of it ;) Truly amazing, honestly
This is amazing. You should be proud of yourself .... this is really an awesome flight sim you’ve put together.
This deserves more than just a thumbs up!
Wow! That is an amazing build. I'm blown away. Thanks for sharing it on UA-cam. 👏👏👏👍
Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbol "Warthog" flight simulator made by a government contractor, 1.5 million per unit. Comparable simulator made by this guy, under 10k.
Awesome set up....all is missing is the tactical keg holder that attaches to a camel back....and you are set for those long distance missions.
Superb workmanship and ingenuity. Very well done indeed!
Now that is a Man Cave!
My wife wants me to make her a she shed, but only on the condition that a flight simulator is included.
Umm this is INCREDIBLE ....HOW
Have no idea how did you manage to make that great stuff... you’re really skillful man
Wow just amazing. You do a great work.... its a dream cockpit. I realy like how you do it.
amazing job, and the Warthog is the best plane ever. I had designed a mech cockpit for the first mechwarrior game but I just never got the chance to build it.
Amazing work!
Inversion fucks my head up, all I can do is crash :)
I admire the work you've put in, very cool, checking this out after seeing the 3 projector warping video YT fed me.
I think you should build a canopy over it and have 270° projection
If he does a canopy it would be better to put in multiple LCD screens, trick would be finding screens the same dimensions as the glass panels.
With canopy closed, cant hear the mrs bitchen either..
Hi Ray, your simpit is truly amazing. Superb work
Craig S Thanks mate! Appreciate your help as well, your videos helped a lot!
Absolutely fantastic. Great job
Spectacular!! Congrats on all your hard work!
I'd love to see one of these for a Huey mate, well done.
You should consider putting framing in for the front of the cockpit. Cut heavy sheet plastic and paint it to look like aluminum
freaking amazing work mate. Just enjoy it. Good flights
"kinda wanna play death stranding today.... guess ill just fly the A10C again"
Amazing commitment to details. Would love to see one done up as a F-4 or ME 262.
Love to see an M1A2
Great work mate!!! Loved the ejection seat. you have done a fantastic job
awesome - fecken awesome .......the only word that comes to mind
Fantastic work mate.
about sound you can put a big speaker in each side simulating the engines and somehow make the sound come corresponding to each engine.
wow cant believe you got it all working! i plan to build the seat and cockpit but i use VR oculus rift so i may not do all this. but really nice!
Awesome work!!! Very cool!!! Congratulations!!!
Too bad the seat doesn’t move to match how you control the flight. That set up though is just awesome. You did a great job
Awesome setup. Good job 👍👍👍
That is really cool. Great work.
Imagine 2 more projectors in that perfect size spare room's white walls.
Dude it looks awesome!!

This project is amazing.
Very nice job captain. 👍
WOW!!! Nice Work
Loving this Sim bud, awesome job, can you do a review on the warthog hotas and I'm looking to get into flight Sims
Looks absolutely stunning. Could you let us know what the overall dimensions are. Eg. total width and length as well as totals for one of the consoles - just to get a feel for space required etc? Thank you much
Great work - envy factor 100 🙂
Awesome buddy
Wow, that’s incredible!!
Amazing, bucket list !
Seriously impressive!
Very impressive. Nice one. 👍

You sir, deserve a like!

Amazing project!
Great video! Keep posting!
This is just the coolest thing I have ever seen.
‘ Truly unbelievable, very very very impressive, any one who scoffs, or exclaims at the ease of replicating this project are wankers with very small small, or no genitals , If I had the money , I would be paying you what ever some of money to have you sell me this simulator, very smart man , WOW, WOW, well done ! Many hours of enjoyment, I build scale static models and love WW2 and modern planes , the amount of detail and time , can take up to one year for a 1/24 scale plane so,
At least this project , you get to fly !!! The finished project and stick it in a cabinet ,well done , very inspirational to someone trying to follow your steps , I wouldn’t know where to start, so wish I was your neighbour , definitely leaving money on top of your fridge every time I would sit in this incredible simulator, well done , your father must , has to be very proud !
That's incredible
It's pronounced Tay-can :) Awesome setup. I"m as green as your lights lol
Very cool...
Some day I'll build something like this, once I'm out of this one bedroom apartment.
Or I'll just build it in the living room.
I'm trying to talk my other half into giving up another bedroom for a Viper. Not going so well so far...
@@thewarthogproject Not sure I would put a viper in a hypothetical third bedroom. Maybe something like a private jet or a 737 though...
i want this so much it makes my face hurt
Wow damn that's impressive. I'm an fa18 guy but that's the closest sim I've seen better than the real fa18 simulator in real life. Can u give me info on a fa18c model one. Thanks DUKE. VFA-192.
Awesome dude !!
Omg love it
amazing
Wow, amazing!
Great work!
Off the charts mate, unbelievable! You must be so proud and you should be, it's absolutely beautiful. What specs you got if you don't me asking.. 1080Ti, 7700k, 32DDR?
yes yes and yes. and yes.
Just showed my wife...….she is going to build me one. What a woman!
You are joking correct?
wow amazing just AMAZING
You need to connect that to a radio control plane in fly it from your room
What's this for? Is it a training device? Or just for fun? It's amazing
Dude..... I need a mop now to pick up my drool....
Amazing!
Incredible 😎👍
Wow, that is really awesome, great job! What’s the name of the music in the intro?
Please, send your first production model to me. We’ll talk money when you’re comfortable with the result. A Ferrari wouldn’t be a bad second placer...
I’m more into sim racing but holly ! Nice job 👍🏻
Why not go and get a plane or become a fighter pilot ?
Tom Scott was right, also, i thought this channel was gonna be about building a halo warthog lol
AWESOME!!!!! How much??
Amazing.
Are you using Air Manager for your instruments or Panel Builder? Your set up looks great and highly detailed great job, and looking forward to your future videos. Cheers!
The sim is DCS World, using a program called Helios to display the panels.
