i think there's 2 things i would recommend: - against yubel droll is a solid card, hitting both yubel itself and the fiendsmith engine, expecially when the turn starts by summoning beckoning beast, most of the time he loses most of his power play right there, which is gates, fiendsmith, yama and nightmare pain. - i wouldnt try to imperm spirit of yubel, it's a high risk play because the dodge effect of both sharvara and squirmer can nullify the handtrap and make him plus for free. i would prefer to hit dark beckoning beast, or yama, or use it in draw phase against varudras/rage.
One comment on where 2 handtrap yubel. if ur going second and u have imperm. Allways safe it for your own turn. They have 4 ways 2 dodge target negation. Dont handrip urself. Imperm varudras on ur turn instead
Thank you so much for this, I just started going to locals for the first time ever and asked if there was some sort of database with this information. Thank you so much again.
4:19 Ohhh, using Ash to prevent the baby Noir trap set is something I never heard of. Definitely neat and useful. I always heard people say to use Ash on My Friend.
about spright, i dont think neg sprind is right. The start hand of spright should look as normal sum+spright. That first spright coming frm hand need be negated otherwise he get more body and also negate with red/carrot. Gigantic is another tgt for hand trap.
It’s a better side option IMO. Against Yubel the window to nib them is very small and even if you do, they can easily extend through it. It’s decent against snake eyes if paired with another hand trap. If possible, try to wait until end of main phase since they usually don’t summon Apollusa until the start of your turn via IP. Obviously it’s also good against rogue strategies like Salads, etc
Where to handtrap Ice Barrier? Ash Magic Master Gy effect. Imperm/Veiler Hexa, revealer or Marincess anemone (if their hand is bad enough for that). Ghost ogre Marincess Anemone. Ghost Belle georgius or pillar Both Ogre and belle are sub optimal Vs Ice Barrier. Nibiru is only good paired with a effect negate as Bahamut is usually 4th summon If you're struggling to read the situation, just stop your opponent from Toad and Lancea
To both, the answer is "yes". If you droll after Purrelyly effect, you basically make My Friend useless, and if they haven't opened the correct Memories, you force a pass.
Partially agree, but we have 1 called by, 3 crossout, 3 thrust, 3 talents and if you really want to get spicy we have 3 lullaby of obedience. That’s 13 cards that can punish hand traps.
Yes, it’s a high skill ceiling deck that can put up some oppressive boards if uninterrupted. There was a video Jesse Kotton uploaded where he brought Yubel to locals and a memento player absolutely smoked him.
Basically the question is whether or not they open a way to get Bisque and Baby in grave before their combo begins, and get field spell on board. If they do, you lose. If not, ash on bloody in hand, Imperm on fantasix, droll hurts if they don't hard open baby, bystials on fantasix in grave so they can't recover argent, crow on argent, and shifter just kinda autowins as it does with a lot of matchups. Gimmick Puppets have ways of blanking interactions but is very fragile since those cards aren't searchable, and even then you can't blank every interaction at once unless you open the nuts.
@@GG_YGO yes im aware of that. but i remember a handful of years back this wasn't the case. so i was asking if theres been a revision in rulings. and if those rulings are specific to NA or EU
@@GG_YGO yeah I used the deck u used at 3rd place regional, I really like it but I probably just need experience w yugioh in general ig. Love these! Thank you!
This is awesome!! Let’s go!! I also really like saving ogre for ip on my turn against se!
Keep up the good work bro! 🙏🏼
I needed this BEFORE locals today! 😭
what happened?
On white woods if you have bystial, save it for the rcia or silve on the turn 2. Do not waste that on freking toy soldier
Guy at my locals plays plant, its actually impossible he always opens crossout, called by, and talents in 60 cards.
Better side mass removal if you just feel it isn't good enough using handtraps
Love this video. Gl to everyone at nats.
Evenly matched looking good
Much needed post. 👍🏾

May have to start siding belle and crow
Thanks for sharing !!!
Pure or runick ice barrier would be nice to see
hey ty so much for the info, but 1 deck the gimpup deck the burn ftk where to stop it plz ty
I like bystialing puppet on their turn if they send it by then cuz then they can't just mecrourier negate it.
This is great!
how to hit ice barrier runick and centurion?
Would Nibiru become obsolete in the new format? Still main deck worthy? or side now? Asking for a friend
It’s a better side option IMO. Against Yubel the window to nib them is very small and even if you do, they can easily extend through it.

Ritual beasts auto-fold to droll
1. they play shifter. cant droll under shifter.
2. they can still make a somewhat decent endboard, without the other searches
Might need to remake this if they dog snake eyes
Great video
I love these videos
Any tips for ice barrier?
Where to handtrap Ice Barrier?
Ash Magic Master Gy effect. Imperm/Veiler Hexa, revealer or Marincess anemone (if their hand is bad enough for that).
Ghost ogre Marincess Anemone.
Ghost Belle georgius or pillar

GGYGO = GOAT
I thought ashing the nightmare throne was more optimal than ashing Samsara
Ashing Nightmare Throne is basically hoping they don't have another way to get to engine which is a huge gamble, and a even bigger gamble after INFO.
Is droll really good against Purrely? And can I always Ash the spells even if they don't wanna summon?
To both, the answer is "yes". If you droll after Purrelyly effect, you basically make My Friend useless, and if they haven't opened the correct Memories, you force a pass.
do you think lancea would be a viable side card after info?

We sure don’t need going first to be stronger than it already is
op, ritual beast best deck tho, no handtraps beat the deck, we always draw crossout :)
Doesn't Lurrie revive itself eitherway? even if you banish it. Kinda like Dark World Ceruli?
No it'd be in a new location
Ceruli also doesn't bring itself back if banished in the chain it is trying to resolve, so I am not sure where you got that information.
The link for Chain Link isn't available?

Do you think Memento will be a contender post INFO?
No
he can always save it for the next video.
People still sleeping but that's okay

Goat
I honestly believe handtraps will be useless on fiendsmith format. Its better to run breakers and some ash and bystials on the side for branded only.
dont think u should ash genroku, think u should still ash kaimen.
would you ash the fiendsmith himself or wait for the spell
wait for the spell
thanks
