This is so much fun to see you in different moods and conditions. Sometimes you come with a bigger smile and another time you would say all the disadvantages of PMs, with a complaining tone... i think a part of why we are so hooked on your videos ...apart from amazing beauty and product advice .
Thank you for being so relatable, Lisa! I've always enjoyed your tutorials; you manage to inject honesty and truth to your videos, in addition to providing fantastic beauty tips and tricks. I hope you disregard any disparaging rubbish others say. It takes bravery to be so honest, yet alone put yourself out there for the world. Thank you for being you.
@MissZofiee its a pretty large sponge so you are using on the eyelid and outside of the eye which is a dry area. As long as the sponge remains dry it shouldnt be a problem for the few months you use it until it runs out of product. x
@visceralanding no and especially not if you are going to be photographed...it will show up horribly. Better use a sheer regular powder to set the spot concealing and then, if you want to, finish with HD brushing very lightly over, taking care to flick most of it off (if that makes sense) x
I recently found your tutorials, and I love how graceful and honest you are as an artist. You confidently start your videos without a drop of makeup, even when you have spots. It's nice to see that you're a real person who uses their talents not only on their clients, but themselves as well. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.
@feistyfluxy I find the foundation to have more covering power than the concealer stick so you only need a teeny tiny amount. Plus is very pliable and doesnt emphasise dryness because its creamy, soft and very blendable. They are both extremely long lasting/sweat resistant. X
@YummyMummyKate my favourite is Cliniques Airbrush Concealer which is a light reflecting one which I find also has good concealing power. Unless you Very dark shadows I find this one works well on most of my clients...comes in various shades to suit skin tone x
@chitchatnation occasionally I do and then it tends to be a Laura Mercier one. I always use Clarins Beauty Flash before an evening out and regular moisturiser or serum on most other days x
@darjamarkova lilac is such a good colour for counteracting sallowness, even when you only use a touch around the eyes it has the effect of lifting the sallowess in the rest of your face too x
@balljointeddoll a few come up when you google but I dont know which are the good ones...you may need to ask around. If you are in London at any point check out, Screenface or Pam both shops could help you find a pro brand product which matches your skin tone and gives you enough coverage I'm sure x
@kaoritubes I usually do just that, maybe a little too tired that day! The cool tones worked because I was looking very sallow so they counteract that plus i find lavenders and lilacs are particularly flattering on most skin tones and eye colours as they have a skin lifting quality. In raised bump areas you need to create a very flat opaque surface, that way the bumps dont catch the light and so appear flat and less noticeable x
@balljointeddoll Often the best place to go for very pale concealers is pro-make-up shops, they usually sell many pro brands you wouldn't see in regular stores and cover a wider range of skin shades. In the London we have Screen Face, Charles Fox etc. Where are you living? x
@BellBaerK the spots came from a combination of too little sleep, drinking cocktails, time of the month and just generally doing too much. Happy to say they have all gone now and I've caught up on my sleep! X
I have no idea what you are talking about, all the lights I use are daylight bulbs because they reflect colours as true to life as possible. The process of uploading to youtube changes colours slightly for everyone but if anything Id say mine are the closet to the real colours precisely because of my professional lighting. Maybe its the angle of your computer screen... that can make a big difference... try tilting it slightly and hopefully that will work for you. x
I just love the way you compare yourself with these absolutely honest before and after shots. It somehow makes one feel better to know that even the big ones wake up in the morning and have to face that "morning after" in the mirror...thanks for that and please continue with your wonderful videos! You are absolutely gorgeous!
I feel you pain ....Its pretty much impossible to buy a foundation on line unless you have already tried a sample or its a re-order. Otherwise you have no idea if its going to match. They do sell this foundation in the US at some of the larger drugstores and specialised shops. Otherwise you could try the Keromask concealers instead maybe,as they are available at Sephora stores. Good luck X
loving all your tutorials. the way you start without makeup on your face and you act so natural about it. Great confidence. But you don't need much because you're lovely and beautiful. You're the best, Lisa!
There are no words for how brilliant you are, Lisa! You are beautiful. Since I've started watching you, I've come to appreciate 'simpler' makeup....using one eyeshadow colour to create a look, skipping the eyeliner sometimes etc. Love your tips and videos and you!
I love the organic, spontaneous aspect of this video--it helps to hear your thought process. And the look is gorgeous; the transformation beyond fabulous. I'm glad you had a great late night!
It's very refreshing to see a genuine "before" image of someone who is such a naturally beautiful woman looking worse for wear, and the transformation makeup can achieve when you feel rough! Full marks Lisa! xxx
It is absolutely fascinating, what the application of color will do to enliven the look of the face. You look spectacular. At first I thought there was too much cheek color, but it all came together extremely well.
I know this is an old video, but I just love how you speak to us like we're old friends! Also loved the Colin Firth name drop.. he's my favorite. You're just too amazing, Lisa.
Such a great video. Perfectly demonstrates how taking a little bit of time when feeling a bit rough can actually make you both look and feel better. Fascinating to see your energy level increase while you are doing your makeup. Love it! :) Thanks!
I love love love that you are not one of those people who pretend to be always perfect and flowless. I really like the before and after pictures and the fact that you show how your skin really looks with no make up on. you rock!!! :)
Most relatable makeup video I've ever watched. I just wanted to give you a lucozade and a hug at the start. I am forever amazed at your attention to detail and depth of knowledge. You deserve a medal for managing to pass that on even the morning after a party 🎨😘✨
omg finally!! i searched for this video for ages. it's the first video i saw of you and i remember i was shocked by how you made everything seem so magical. i was really impressed and from that moment on i never skipped a video of yours. you truly are the best!
Such dedication to your many fans! You are a sweetheart to do a video on the day after a long night out! Don't believe that anyone else would be so down to Earth, as you always are! You are such a joy to watch and to listen to, always So informative! Simply put, The Best, and l greatly admire and Congratulate You!
Love the video, you're very brave to get in front of a camera and bright lights after an all nighter. Your chill attitude, humor and of course ability to transform yourself are why you are my favorite person to watch.
This is such a gorgeous light, pretty feminine look. It amazes me how just a few products can make such a huge difference. I woke up looking awful this morning and I'd not even been out!!! Some BB cream, concealer, blush, mascara and lip gloss & I looked like a new woman!!
I would love to see a close up ( with harsher lighting) of how your complexing covering finish looks in real life. Mine never looks quite as flawless - so Im curious to see how yours looks close up and in normal daytime light settings.. sunlight, office lighting (yikes) Love Love your Videos!!
I can't imagine anyone but you starting a video with "I look terrible". It is comforting to know I am not the only one who breaks out after teenage years (38yrs!). Your videos make me so happy! Again, it's your voice, the way you show the "how to" ... Thank you for feeding your channel.
What I love about you, Lisa, aside from how normal and talented and nice and lovely you seem to be, is that you, a renowned make up artist by your own right, have no worries about turning the cam on and let us see your morning after face so we can learn how to look and feel beautiful again. Thanks for the look, by the way! trying it right now.
well Lisa... i must say that in every single video you upload i see you just 'transform' in front of my eyes!!! It's so unbelievable and i can't believe my eyes!!!
I love that you film everything but I must say Lisa, your just a natural beauty and such a joy to watch! I get so excited when I see a new video from you
Wow, I completely stumbled across your channel by accident and am now hooked, a complete addict lol. I don't even know if I'll have time to watch my "regular" makeup gurus anymore. You're professional and helpful, but at the same time so warm and friendly...such talent:)!
Another wonderful video Lisa :) This 42 year old mom to two is a faithful watcher of your videos...I appreciate all of your tips and tricks- especially when it comes to acne- seems so unfair to be the age I am and still have to deal with this. Thank you for taking the time to make and post your tutorials/videos.
I watched so many videos of yours and never got to comment something. Maybe just because I never knew what to say. You're the most professional and admirable person I know- not just because you know a ton about make up, but because you have the charism everyone reaches for. I really would enjoy being as confident and content when I'm in your age. :)
Wow Lisa! I really take my hat off to you going public without make-up on...with spots too!! Thank-you so much for this! I love it and I also love everything which you did on the how to video, thanks again for the lilac eyeshadow tip, love it.
OMG Fleur Power is one of my absolute favourite blushers ever! So happy to see it featured in your video. Love all your videos, LIsa, and I agree with a commenter below about makeup for Asian/Oriental eyes. Thanks much!
I absolutely love this look (especially with the mascara, and the pink blush!) Also, I definitely want to try out this Mimosa nail polish! Thanks for your videos, Lisa, they are always so neat, chic and inspiring.
@SaraAspiringMuslimah i think it's all in a matter of taste, you can apple foundation in several different ways like with a foundation brush, or sponges (laura mercier sponges are a big hit right now ), with a stippling brush, buffed on with a kabuki, or with your hands as well. It all depends and what effect you want and the coverage.
I love that you are never afraid to show your imperfections. Such a transformation. You should have got a BAFTA for this :-) Once again another brilliant video . Thanks Lisa x
I've said before, Lisa, thank you for posting the before and after. It's so good to see a bit of realism, although you still looked great for being up all night!
Hi dear Lisa, that was the best transformation from tired skin to fresh looking skin, I have question as always bothering you sorry,, I read online some one asked from doctor is wearing makeup aging? but I couldnt find the answer and since that every day I use any makeup that question pop to my mind, I thought you're the right person to ask so what you think is makeup aging specailly foundation? thanks for your time xx
I know this is late but Ulta sells Dermablend. It's not actually the Vichy version but I've bought the concealer from the "Smooth Indulgence" line and it's great!
love this tutorial, i think i may follow it for the days when i have to go to work with just little hours of sleep, it may sound geek but listening to your videos helps me improve my english and i can understand british accent better, so apart from learning about make, i also improve my language skills!!
I have an very rough broken skin too, and i keep having problems , with covering it up, but im going too try this and hope it works, since it does work for you. Thanks
Isn't it amazing how make-up transforms and uplifts your mood?! i said this to my fiance, and he just doesnt get it! So lovely that us girls understand! Thank-you so much Lisa- lots of love from Australia xo
Hi Lisa, I'm looking for a make up for someone is ill, I've got endometriosis, so long term chronic pain and another 6 months to wait before treatment, lots of medication, my skin is terrible and I look exhausted, I'm also too tired to spend ages on make up. I'm realistic enough to know I can't do miracles but if you have a tutorial which would give me a few pointers to boost my confidence that would be very kind :-).
I started watching your videos a little while ago, just wanted you to know: You're literally the best makeup-artist I've seen! You do everything so well, and I love it so much. Glad you had a great night out, and have a great day! Love from Nora xx
transformational and great information. thank you lisa. you put it all out there and then show us how. this look is like a breath of spring and so pretty. hope it did indeed help you through your day. thank you again. barb
Lisa, that was an amazing transformation! Thank you for sharing the before and after. I must admit to feeling more capable after watching this. Thank you so much!
i love how she's the only makeup artist or even the only PERSON on youtube in general who can casually say that she was with colin firth at a vogue dinner party...all hail lisa
I'm SO glad I saw this video. I'm one of those people who doesn't even really try with makeup... with pale skin, freckles, and used-to-be-red-but-not-really-red hair. I have dark purple under eye bags (hereditary, since age 11). The puffiness I can fix, the color... not really. I noticed how well your under-eye concealer worked. Is there a similar product that would work for someone like me?
so would you say that you would go with any cool toned eye shadow color or mainly lavendars and lilacs? Thanks so much for this tutorial. I can't believe the transformation. You are a beautiful lady and very much look to you for makeup consultation and guidance and most importantly learning the art of makeup!
Even when she feels exhausted and has breakouts and no makeup on, Lisa is heart-wrenchingly lovely. Hardcore girl crush going on, here. I want to make her her morning coffee and listen to her talk about anything at all. Is that weird? It's pretty weird. But alas. She's also my makeup hero. I hardly even glance at other makeup youtube channels after finding Lisa.
Ahhh the puff action you had going on there with the powder you used to set your concealer was also shown by Goss too...you two rock the make up world.
I like Bobbi Browns' Corrector and Concealers. Try them. Very moisturizing and pigmented. The Corrector does all the work so you should really invest in that if you want to only pick one.
Bless your cotton socks, Lisa Eldridge to show the aftermath of a late night out! You did a terrific job covering your blemishes and looked fresh as a countryside meadow! Technical Q here: I've recently started to get cystic acne in the time of the month. These suckers take a while to heal and by next cycle they get new friends - ARGH! Would you recommend the Dermablend foundation to the concealer? What is the main difference & how well do they stay put? Is it all to do with blendability? Ta! x
In your last film you were wearing such beautiful dresses and blouses, could you please do a little run through and where you bought them? That would be very nice! Thank you!
Hi Lisa, another amazing tutorial! love it! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial for the makeup looks you did in the feb issue of glamour? I really like the purple look, and also the bold lips look. I was so excited when i saw you were the makeup artist for those looks. Thank you very much!
This is so much fun to see you in different moods and conditions. Sometimes you come with a bigger smile and another time you would say all the disadvantages of PMs, with a complaining tone... i think a part of why we are so hooked on your videos ...apart from amazing beauty and product advice .

I hope you disregard any disparaging rubbish others say. It takes bravery to be so honest, yet alone put yourself out there for the world. Thank you for being you.
My favorite thing is the tinkling sound your rings make when you're doing your makeup!😊💗
So elegant, as always. I just love watching you put on makeup.
@MissZofiee its a pretty large sponge so you are using on the eyelid and outside of the eye which is a dry area. As long as the sponge remains dry it shouldnt be a problem for the few months you use it until it runs out of product. x

@MakeupmeGP summer but its not available anywhere yet. The pearls and greys are the spring collection x
@BellBaerK the spots came from a combination of too little sleep, drinking cocktails, time of the month and just generally doing too much. Happy to say they have all gone now and I've caught up on my sleep! X
I think Wayne and Lisa are the best. By makeup they try to enhance the natural beauty, not hide it, and that's why I love them :)
I have no idea what you are talking about, all the lights I use are daylight bulbs because they reflect colours as true to life as possible. So authentic, she actually really is exhausted =\ yet manage to make herself look effortlessly put together!
Lisa, I love you. I discovered your videos a week ago and now I'm addicted. You are the best. You changed my idea of makeup.
I worked 15 hours yesterday and still had to be at work at 7 am today, so I did this look today. Definitely helped me appear less tired. Thanks!!

It's amazing how you can use bright and colorful hues like lavender and still look classy and never trashy.. You are truly a professional.
Can I hire you every Sunday morning?

it's amazing how you can make all those spots went away ! It's virtually flawless !! I've learn so much from you. Thank you !!
great there is hope for me yet! Being a busy mum and nurse gives me a constant tired look. I'm loving your tutorials !

I love this eyeshadow in lilac. It looks so fresh and lovely💜
You are now officially my fav guru. Anyone who makes videos about how to deal with being hungover wins in my book.
I adore how you film yourself spots and all, sharing your wisdom.
Its really refreshing how normal you are.
Love all your videos! :)
I've pulled an all-nighter to finish an assignment as well as to study for upcoming exams and totally needed this video. Thanks! :)
Really a lovely look for you and I love the palette of colors you picked for your eyes!
Another wonderful video Lisa :)
This 42 year old mom to two is a faithful watcher of your videos...I appreciate all of your tips and tricks- especially when it comes to acne- seems so unfair to be the age I am and still have to deal with this.
I just love how you work with such strong and confident brush work 😍
I absolutely love this look (especially with the mascara, and the pink blush!) Also, I definitely want to try out this Mimosa nail polish!
Gorgeous! You are so humorous in this video, especially with the before and after captions.
You look absolutely rested and lovely. A beautiful transformation. Love this look. Thank you so much. I love your channel.
ur spots concealing technique is stunning!!! and u really looked perked up!! thanks, lisa!
Lisa you are the Queen of makeup!!! with simple steps you look perfect !!! you are marvelous!
I know this is late but Ulta sells Dermablend. It's not actually the Vichy version but I've bought the concealer from the "Smooth Indulgence" line and it's great!
Always great videos. ALWAYS!! Love the before and after shots at the end. Shows how powerful make up can be!
love this tutorial, i think i may follow it for the days when i have to go to work with just little hours of sleep, it may sound geek but listening to your videos helps me improve my english and i can understand british accent better, so apart from learning about make, i also improve my language skills!!
I love, love, LOVE how your foundation isn't yellow. I always have to scour the market for foundation that doesn't force a sun-kissed look.
Love from Nora xx
transformational and great information. thank you lisa. you put it all out there and then show us how. this look is like a breath of spring and so pretty. hope it did indeed help you through your day. thank you again. barb
I am also loving that lilac eye colour.
I love it and really want to try those Aqua Creams now, the colours look gorgeous!
I love you videos! I was wondering can you do a video talking about which makeup brands make the best foundations/concealers for WOC?
so would you say that you would go with any cool toned eye shadow color or mainly lavendars and lilacs? Thanks so much for this tutorial. I can't believe the transformation. You are a beautiful lady and very much look to you for makeup consultation and guidance and most importantly learning the art of makeup!
Even when she feels exhausted and has breakouts and no makeup on, Lisa is heart-wrenchingly lovely. Hardcore girl crush going on, here. I want to make her her morning coffee and listen to her talk about anything at all. Is that weird? It's pretty weird. But alas. She's also my makeup hero. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE watching your videos! its so calming, educational, enjoyable, just FAB! LOVE YOU LISA!!! THANKS FOR MAKING VIDEOS!!!!!
One of you best Lisa, you really proved the Power of Make Up in this Video!
I'm totally convinced to try the Vichy Dermablend now, but if I end up loving it I've no idea what I'd do with all my other coverups
that lilac color on your lids is to die for! do you think a color like that would work on a darker skin tone or would a darker purple be better?
Bless your cotton socks, Lisa Eldridge to show the aftermath of a late night out! You did a terrific job covering your blemishes and looked fresh as a countryside meadow! Technical Q here: I've recently started to get cystic acne in the time of the month. These suckers take a while to heal and by next cycle they get new friends - ARGH! Would you recommend the Dermablend foundation to the concealer? What is the main difference & how well do they stay put? Is it all to do with blendability? Ta! x
i love this look! really picked you up. love the fact that you use a variety of products from highend to drug store.
i think lavender looks SO pretty with dark brown eyes like yours!
my heart skips a beat everytime you upload a new video! i'm so happy!!! thanks my luv!
