A 2-time Olympic team member, Slavka’s determination, work ethic, intellect, athleticism and artistry fueled her groundbreaking figure skating and coaching career, with her influence extending far beyond the rink.
Slavka embraced life with zest, captivating all who knew her and lighting up every room she entered. In her final years Slavka took to saying, “Living well is the best revenge,” and the ever-present sparkle in her eye let the world know that she was, indeed, living well.
