My suggestion: give the boys the bigger room at the back, with an option to divide it in the future if needed. Put a partition wall or sliding door where youre thinking of putting the boys’ bunk beds, and use that as your cozy sleeping place. Use the middle room as a living room. That way, everyone has privacy, it’s easy to hide away clutter from guests by closing the boys’ door and your sleeping area, and you have a wonderful living room where everyone can hang out together.
Perfect,I agree 😊... Privacy is so important. And you thought of it perfectly. Also 🛁 dark green, where ever you can put green, could be just on one side of the room, put it ,it relaxes the eyes and remind of nature.
she really need to get a few dividers / view blockers. There are so many options, a few plants, a big cabinet, a movable wall, etc. Take the first room and put there something between that big space and the main entrance door.
As a kid growing up in a walk-through room, I always felt sort of like a visitor, never had my own space or privacy, any down time was always disturbed which caused anxiety down the line. Some will laugh it off as exaggeration but it’s a fact. The wall should have been moved not taken down. It would have been fine to make it a little hallway with closet space and the boys would still have a bright room 🤷♀️
Our room was walk through also, and I felt the same. But our dad built us a private room when we turned 11. He says Kids that Age Need privacy. He built my sisters each a room in the old barn next to the house. I Just moved myself to a room in another Building of the property as a teenager. The living house itself was and is really small, but the barn was bigger, even if in bad condition.
or at least put a wall in that big first boys' room. It would be similar to the one that was there, just better built, with glass so light can come in and at a position she likes. a wall with like frosted glass that you can't see through, which you often see in bathrooms. You can simply cover normal glass with a film. Then everyone would have privacy.
Great progress! I would definitely put the boys in the back room so they can go to bed and not be distributed in the evening and you can have a living room with a sofabed!
I would definitely reverse the rooms and give your sons the back room and put a door there. The front room has enough space to act as your bedroom and sitting room.
I was thinking that too, but it might not make sense if she's planning on making content creating her full time job, cause if she's going to be filming and needs quiet, uninterrupted time the kids will have to pass through that room to be able to go to the kitchen or bathroom, same for if she's planning on being in a relationship at some point, it just wouldn't make sense for the kids to have to pass through that room every time they need something. I don't know why she removed the wall, it didn't look good but she could have re-made it, and fixed the layout of the apartment a bit, since its already pretty much being re-built.
yee, she really should not have destroyed that wall in that huge room. It could have been a nice entrance and you could have inserted a better wall with windows that are not see-through and let light in. It would have solved so many issues, that apartment is just not big enough now. Bad enough that those boys need to share a room.
They make ENCLOSURES for those bathtubs. I would ENCLOSE the tube.......because CLEANING UNDER that tub, will be HELL!! lol (I should know.....I have a claw foot bathtub!)
I would put the boys in the bedroom and a daybed for me in the knook area you opened and use that center room as a living room [couch, TV, etc] and open the living into the kitchen for open floor plan and space.
Greetings, if I was designing the apartment, I would put the boys in the back room with a door to their room. You could put a murphy bed in the first room for your bedroom. The Murphy bed is not seen until you pull it down and that way you can use the first room as a bedroom/main room.
You are my favourite UA-camr. I love coming home to watch your videos. I just bought a new house too so I find this very exciting. Greetings from Ireland
Good progress on your 'new' apartment Nas. Seems like you have some good trades people helping. Maybe give the dog some treats if he's there next time as he looks lonely? Trust you all take care, stay safe & keep well. 🙂👷♂👍
Definitely bunk beds in that nook! That will create more of a sitting living space for all of you in the bigger area. You will figure out the wardrobe once you get it all moved in! You can utilize the wall space for shelves or use a wardrobe in against one of the walls and a TV on top as an entertainment stand! Can't wait to see when it's all done! What a wonderful new space it will be for the 3 of you!!!!!!
I didn’t have to wait this time, I could watch as soon as I got the notification. I really do love watching your videos, they are so real. Too many other UA-camrs make everything perfect and they feel as fake as it can be. Please, don’t ever stop 🙏🏻
I would put the bunk beds in the enclosed space, you could also use a curtain there to give them privacy. For wardrobe, use dressers for their clothing. Or you could use the closet by the door for their clothing as well. If you use dressers, you could place their TV above and use the tops for decor. Or get a nice wardrobe that's enclosed and put them each on the side of the window. Then a couch and TV across.
On the front area where you are questioning whether to place a door … you might want to consider a tension curtain rod with decorative curtains that you can close off when it is cluttered and tie back to the sides when the space is showing nicer items. You could put bookshelves starting half way up to the ceiling and that would leave space underneath for vacuum cleaner. If you choose that, you could put a tension rod right above the storage part and have the shelves holding pretty things.
You can leave the entryway closet for storage but add a mirrored door or put a large mirror over the closet door, that way it will help the space look a bit bigger but you still get storage space :)
I would also give the backroom to the boys. You could have a sleeping sofa or a murphy bed for you in the livingroom, there is also plenty of space there for a desk and a wardrobe. And yes, you need some storage at the entrance. The flat is looking nice already! 😊
Make yourself a nice cozy sleeping nook, and givebthe Boys the room with smart separation. I tell you this apartment is going to be a jewel!! Also, the best layouts are figured out by living in them❤
I would give the boys the bedroom. I would get a sleeper sofa for you. You could put up room dividers for privacy at night. Build cabinet's and shelves in the alcove to give you much needed storage for your clothes and many other things.
I love yr videos...travelling through the markets with you and renovating yr flat is so exciting ...keep the old soviet radio as a keepsake to Soviet times
You're going to have to put that wall back in the boy's room eventually, (teenage boys NEED walls) but it will probably work well as a big playroom for now. I can't wait to see the finished apartment! It's already looking so much better.
Wonderful!!! You could hang two long curtains in front of the entry closet w/hooks at each end to keep open space when you need for supplies & vacuum 😊
I just found your Chanel. I love it so interesting to see life in Siberia, never thought that would be possible, looking forward to future videos! Love them
Looks so much nicer already! Love what you're doing. Although I love the idea of the bunk beds in the far corner and leaving the room for recreation, honestly you're all going to need good wardrobe space to keep from driving each other crazy with your stuff. Also, there is a lot to be said for waking up in the sun, at least for me -- it makes all the difference in my mood and attitude in the morning. Especially if it's cold. Don't forget about yourself after your boys are grown (too soon!). You'll want to stretch out and enjoy a living room even if you don't entertain. So excited for you Nastya! Such a beautiful place to live.
Could you show a floor plan of your flat so we can give ideas for furniture placement. But its your fun place to do whatever you like. That's the best thing. Making a cosy home that reflects your personality.
I would divide the largest back room into the boys bedroom and your bedroom and use maybe a screen divider. I would make the middle room a living room slash television play room for the children.
Don't worry to much about those white tiles: the bathroom is small so it won't take a lot of time to clean them. I'd also go with the bunk beds for now. With a closed folding door in the day time to hide the mess.
You should put the bunk beds in that alcove and then you could have a curtain that could pulled across the beds so they can have some privacy. You should also put the boys' wardrobe in your room on the bigger wall to the side of your door, since you have such a spacious room, it could easily fit!
Another solution give the boys your room . Build a new partition wall in the middle room nearer to the window ( use this as your bedroom ) to fit a small double bed and drawers . Comfortable chair. Choose a doors with full frosted glass to pull light through to that hall area See can you fit a table bench with a back chairs for family gathering Leave no door on kitchen as window is visible and will give impression of light in the new hall/ dining/sitting space . The bench with back “ upholstered would be nice” can sit into that alcove the table and a couple of chairs can push under table . Small tv can go on or in front of the new partition wall of your bedroom . Cleaver lighting will make the difference ask that good electrician advice about strip lighting . It’s hard to guess your space . I do think the boys will need privacy especially as they get older . Save you having to redo in future . You can always have curtain in front of bedroom glass doors to block internal light when sleeping . During the day leave open .. best of luck 😊
Hello Nastya, I would like to suggest you paint the side of the tub white. It will keep your bathroom light and cheerful. I like your choice of bathroom tiles and flooring. Also, you mentioned putting the boys' bunkbeds or a wardrobe in the small alcove space. I think you should put their wardrobe there. Whatever you choose to do will look wonderful! Have fun with it. 😊
Looks good, I like your plans. I like keeping the bunk beds in the small space. Your older son will need some place to study and have to himself.. definitely keep that in mind. Maybe utilize a curtain system in a space he can have to himself.
Thank you for the beautiful video today, you are so lucky to have sach a cute and sweet baby boy, take care of you and your sons! My love from greece!❤❤
I would have done something different for the space/room you had in mind for the boys. I had done the living room there. Because otherwise you or the people who come to visit will always go through the room of the boys. For example, if they have to do homework from school because they will always be disturbed by you having to walk through the bedroom. Otherwise there is no privacy for you or the boys. And eventually they will grow bigger and want privacy, which is completely normal.
I love your videos! I was so excited to enjoy my coffee while watching you this morning. You're motivating me to make the best of my space, just as you are, and to get moving on projects.
It's looking nicer with all the old stuff removed. My only suggestions: 1) with all the wood trim and flooring out, take a moment to place plenty of boric acid or similar insect killer in all of the open cracks. Especially boric acid I think will help control the roaches after it is all closed up again. 2) please put the old Soviet radio back. 🙂
You could divide the back room and make one space for the boys (with double beds) and the other space for you. The awkward room near the entrance door, you could transform into a closet with extra storage (maybe using a sliding door). And the room that used to have the wall, making it the living room. 😊
I think I would put a walk in closet where you said you may put bunk beds.....in a small space storage is so important to put all the mess away out of sight!
Wow your apartment is going to look amazing, it's so exciting to see all the new materials and the walls freshly plastered! You will have it looking so very cosy and I cannot wait to see it all once you have moved in 😍
Put your washing machine there with some shelves above it for storage so the shower room is less crowded. Just my opinion. A freezer could also go there.
Hello. I think it will be a lovely flat. I would replace the wall for yr son's rooms. Give you all privacy. And you could use the remaining space as a huge wardrobe . Best with love, L.
yes probably expensive but it would then be a proper 2 bedroom apartment then instead of a one bedroom with a big awkward space. It would be worth it and she wouldn't have to change it again when the boys get bigger
Hi Nastya, Your apartment is really taking shape! I’m so happy for you and I’m sure you will make it beautiful 😍 Regarding your son’s bedroom the second option might be the best. Do you have IKEA in Russia? They have fantastic ideas on multi use spaces. A divider of some sort like a cube bookcase might be a great idea as this will give your older son his own space. He will really need this as they get older. Good luck and hope you can move in soon 🌼
It's going to be very nice! One suggestion, I do not recommend TV in a kids roomb because they will seclude themselves in the room for TV and you will have less family time together.
I'm so excited to see your place finished up! I used to live in London, UK for 15 years and couple of years ago I moved back to my country (Czech Republic). Greetings from Prague xx
I'm so excited for you to move into your new apartment, Nastya! But I have to admit, I will miss seeing your grandma's kitchen: I have gotten used to seeing it - it's so nice & cozy, I really do love it.
Hello! I recently discovered your channel! I really like your videos! I also like your introverted style and your sensitivity! Congratulations for the courage to return to your country! I have been living abroad for 23 years and I have not yet had your courage. I really like the way you see life. I wanted to ask you if you could share your vision on relationships /couples especially in this world where everything is more and more superficial. Take care!!
that metal corner thingy....... is called corner bead. i believe if they used rounded corner bead which is called bull nose i believe you would like that better.
I am excited to see how the renovation works out. I hope you and the boys enjoy it. Personally, I would give your teenage son his own space but you can always alter things if required. Good luck.🌷
You asked for ideas for the bedroom for your boys. Think outside the box, raise both beds up at least 3 feet. The space under the beds is the wardrobe. If hanging areas or shelving is needed put it on the end of the beds, like a foot board with the doors on the outside. That should give each boy a tall storage unit and still have room for a desk or table for homework, and not block any of the natural light. Also saves a lot of space too. Good luck, you are doing a fantastic thing with your vlog channel. I have enjoyed seeing Russia from your perspective.
There are shelters for stray cats and dogs, although there are very few stray cats, they do not live long on the street, either a car will hit them or dogs will chew them up. And stray dogs often gather in packs and then they become a real threat to people, not infrequently attacking people, including children, with fatal outcome or severe injuries. The attitude towards stray dogs is wary or even bad
Ohhh I’ve been excited for this update!! I just know your new place will look great! I voted for the bathroom sink, now I’m so curious to know which one you decided to choose! Vintage style will look good, so I’m sure whichever one you’ve chosen will be fantastic. ❤ Can’t wait to see everything again when it’s all complete. 😊 With the boys room, my idea would be to use the back wall for the wardrobe. Then, bunk beds on one wall and desks on the other side. Or you could put two loft beds (bed up high with desk space underneath) opposite each other, one on each wall. Then maybe a small couch or reading chair under the window.

Your mum is right, I would leave the space on the right from the door open in order to have an easy place to hang clothes, put shoes.

I am really enjoying watching your new appartment transformation. I am also loving learning about Russia. Great video. 😊
You could divide the back room and make one space for the boys (with double beds) and the other space for you. The awkward room near the entrance door, you could transform into a closet with extra storage (maybe using a sliding door). And the room that used to have the wall, making it the living room. 😊
Cool apartment. We are sure it will look real nice when it's finished. 👍❤
I think I would put a walk in closet where you said you may put bunk beds.....in a small space storage is so important to put all the mess away out of sight!

Don't throw the radio, keep it......))
Querida amiga:
I am very much looking forward to seeing the end result of your renovations and how you decorate. You are a great little mother and home-maker 🏡
I was looking forward to this update! I can't wait to have an hour of peace to enjoy it all!! Greetings from Italy
I think the kitchen should be a bedroom, the middle space an open plan kitchen and living room and then the bedroom at the back.
I was thinking this, too, but I can imagine that it would be costly to redirect the plumbing.
yes probably expensive but it would then be a proper 2 bedroom apartment then instead of a one bedroom with a big awkward space. It would be worth it and she wouldn't have to change it again when the boys get bigger
I think that would be a great idea! Everyone would have their own space then.
Yes to this. I notice there is no living room, the space doesnt make much sense
Hi Nastya,
Your apartment is really taking shape! I’m so happy for you and I’m sure you will make it beautiful 😍
Regarding your son’s bedroom the second option might be the best.
Can’t wait to see when it’s ready!
Your videos are so relaxing! 😊 Something in them reminds me of my childhood...
Hi Nastya Good luck on the renovations. Can’t wait to see the finished result.🇨🇦😊😊
God bless you and family.
It will look so great, it already does!!
I look forward to seeing the finished home.
Beautiful autumn you have there. A lot of birch trees, i love them
It looks so nice already. The apartment will be very nice when finished. It will be cosy x
If you use grey or black grout with the white tiles it’s easier to maintain 😊
Take care!!
I like the way your thinking of making the rooms in your apartment… it will work out beautifully
My suggestion put the boys bed near the heat source and use the smaller space for wardrobe .. ❤
that metal corner thingy....... is called corner bead. i believe if they used rounded corner bead which is called bull nose i believe you would like that better.
It will be so nice to have your own space again.
I am excited to see how the renovation works out. I hope you and the boys enjoy it. Personally, I would give your teenage son his own space but you can always alter things if required. Good luck.🌷
Why? Why the teenage boy is so special? He should not be spoiled.
I hope your mom is feeling better soon.
@@SandraSutherland-ln3np another great idea!!
Are there any animal rescue centres or assistance there for street dogs? Can you take some food to the dog regularly?
With the boys room, my idea would be to use the back wall for the wardrobe. Then, bunk beds on one wall and desks on the other side. Or you could put two loft beds (bed up high with desk space underneath) opposite each other, one on each wall. Then maybe a small couch or reading chair under the window.
