- In honor of Black History Month, we celebrate one of the FIRST African American TV journalists in the country, Lisa Thomas-Laury, whose legendary career spanned more than 4 decades. Hers is a story of unimaginable hurdles, perseverance, and purpose.
I was just at Lankenau Hospital last night in the ER and thought of Lisa. We had children at the same time in October of 1982. I got up this morning and I was soooooo happy to hear your voice turned around and saw her doing a commercial. I was so happy to see her and she did a great job on that commercial!!! I had my first child at Lankenau hospital right around the same time as you. You look fantastic and I was proud to see you back!!!!!God Bless!!!!!!

This is a testimony that the curtains haven’t closed. I just saw Lisa do a commercial today and she did great on this commercial. She looks awesome and still reads very well!!!! She’s just in another chapter of her career!!!!What a wonderful thing it is to still have PLENTY of VALUE in YOU!!!!!!!!
