I find this bus compressor to be versatile as it can be very transparent for modern pop genres but the even harmonics added by engaging the THD circuit contributes nicely to my mix bus processing (along with a stereo mic pre, EQ, and SPL BIG) when I want to subtly thicken up a mix. All controls are stepped which helps make recall consistent, all controls feel solid and the build quality appears very good. For those interested, they are manufactured and assembled by hand in Sweden. Let me know what's on your mix bus in the comments below. Cheers!
I don't know the hardware and I'm new to audio stuff, but I've recently got the elysia's musiq and mpressor plugins and imo they far exceed what comes by default in DAWs.
Another example of what I consider to be the placebo effect of outboard gear, after 20 years in the game. I couldn't blind test and tell you what's what. Cheers

You’re off to a great start…Elysia makes well thought out products that over-deliver on sound. Enjoy!
