Another common source of oil leaks is the pressure switch. Mine got so common, I got in the habit of carrying a spare in my saddlebag, LOL!

You should be able to find a matching automotive part since low volume makes have no reason to use bespoke pressure senders. For a pressure transducer to fail that often indicates terrible quality. Perhaps a Polaris/Indian part would fit.

From your previous videos, you are a pretty good mechanic. And it appears you have this sorted out. Although you don't state it in your video I'm sure you realize that your ventilation pipe could have been the real culprit of that filler clamp to come off. I've worked on one X that was having similar issues, that turned out to be the vent pipe was getting kinked when sat on.
As for pulling that "faux oil tank cover", its not unknown that owners have cut them so they can remove them "in the field". I don't recommend it, but I've seen it done.
As I don't carry many if any tools on my X, when I ride... I'd just been on the phone rounding up a posse. It seems everytime an adventure appeared with my X, the tools I had weren't what I needed.
And then there was Gary "Jumper" Houk". The late great X ambassador. At a Arkansas event, he had me retrieve his "tool" kit out of his saddlebag. It was about the size of 6" x 18" tool roll and weighed in around 130 pounds. I have no idea how his saddlebag survived that tool kit.
The rear mount cap is structurally a big deal. As pricey as they are, you need them, especially since Jamie (Atlantic EH) came up with the new design/purpose.
Congrats on surviving your X adventure. There will be more. Feel free to contact me anytime.

I wish I was a good mechanic! but thanks for the confidence boost. The clamp that held the filler neck just loosened up over time, and the fill neck was also kinked from previous owner/ his mechanic "messing with things" they really chopped this poor guy up. I got the new clamp from McMaster and haven't had any problems yet🤞. The new vent runs along the fender and drops outback. Now that everything's pretty sorted It runs well. I carry allen wrenches, fuses, oil, and the position sensor up front. Since I do desert riding I hear that can get hot and keep the bike from starting. When I was at the spring rally this year I heard story after story of Jumper, he sounded like a hell of a guy.
Hope we ride some time! Thanks for the help.

You're missing the right rear motor mount nut. Those chrome caps are not purely ornamental. You also shouldn't be "just yanking" on that electrical cover to get it out of there. That bike is coming up on 25 years old and has survived this long. Every bit of damage you do will be permanent.

Good observation on that mount. Without the nut, it can damage the frame!

Great advice. Since this video all the Engine mounts have been updated and the new caps from Atlantic E-H have been installed before my cross country trip in Sep 2022.
