It's great that you can not only travel done memory lane, but have the chance to use your current skills to make some identical items now.

You hit the jackpot, again! Those will be gorgeous pieces. For the wing back chair, if you wanted to try painting the fabric, try regular acrylic paint mixed with fabric softener 1:1 ratio. You'll get great coverage and the fabric will remain soft like fabric should be. (This tip I learned from Queen City Minis!)

What deals, what steals! I love Houseworks products, I had no idea they once did furniture kits. The three rooms of furniture look inviting, you get a second chance for more fun--I'm sure you won't be ruining anything this time around. I've been miniaturing for almost four years now, and I'm still amazed at the all the great little products and creations, old and new! It'll be great fun to see how you Gretchen Up all this stuff!

Your excitement is so contagious! Not only do you get to take a trip down memory lane but you will also have the pleasure of putting all these beautiful kits together, Any parts that have had the pieces punched out already could possibly be used to make templates for more pieces! I'm looking forward to watching little Gretchen work her magic with them all!
The miniature sets are amazing, Gretchen. It is going to be exciting seeing you put every piece together. The chairs are just lovely and will look incredible with some futures pieces you will be adding.

I was 21 in 1979! I wish we had the variety of kits you seem to be able to get hold of over there! We seem to get really bulky weird ones and nothing like the beautiful kits you get. I am never in luck, even Bentley House Minis are sold out when I look, lol! I think I may need to be keeping a closer eye on eBay, however I did get some nice medieval furniture and the lady said she could use her cutting machine to do it in the size I want, I cannot wait for that!
Oh WOW!!! Now you truly know I'm an old lady 🤭😂🤭🤣💖! YES eBay is my Go to! I do searches regularly until what l'm looking for comes available. I guess you could kind of call me an eBay stalker 🤭😂🤣💖! Especially when l'm looking for things from my childhood.... I really really love old kits because of the quality of the wood and the styles of the furniture. I really like traditional styles.
