i enjoy watching you show your finds to us- you are so right about using all types of finds and making a dolls' house unique. I haven't shopped for miniatures since last year, but today I went to the Habitat store and found 2 Wade tea ceramic figures- a clown and a koala for 99 cents each, and also a beautiful tiny Japanese vase w. different scenes on the front and back for $2. I love all Japanese art so that is a real find. At the recycle store I found an unusual wood diorama of a kitchen- it is filthy so needs lots of TLC but it is all hand-carved. It's small but might work as part of the back wall in a kitchen to give the room some depth. It's actually meant to hang on a wall as decor. Really odd to find minis in either one of those stores!
Yes it is a wonderful feeling to find Miniatures unusual places! When that happens I literally feel compelled to buy it because it shouldn't be there!!🤭😂☺️ I actually have a 12th scale aluminum china cabinet in my original dollhouse that was from of all places TJMAXX, in the housewares section! It costed like $6.00. if you get a chance check out my original doll house tour of the dining room I show it but it was a very random rare piece I've NEVER found another miniature in TJ Maxx since then!🤭😂💖 Thank you for sharing with me about your finds!!!!

I don’t know if you found the little square piece of wood that fell down from the little bedside cabinet, it looks like it might have been the missing ‘leg’. It was stuck in the drawer, but then fell out when you opened it and was sitting on your table for most of the video. Lovely furniture indeed, and the dolls will be great. Oh yes and those little bits and pieces to collect are necessary! 😊
I remember the Miniature Worker’s Workshop very well. It was in Royal Oak I think. Some many beautiful miniatures available there. Alas, they were mostly out of my price range.

Miniature Makers was in Royal Oak. I used to go there all the time and I even had some pieces that I made for sale in the shop. Unfortunately they are no longer there because the owner became very ill and passed away. Because of a decline in sales they decided not to try and have someone else buy it and run it. So sad it’s gone because it was such a nice high end store with lots of unique vintage pieces as well as lots of newer merchandise. I miss it so much.

Wonderful finds! 🥰 It looked like the missing foot for the nightstand was stuck under the middle drawer, and it fell out when you opened the drawer. I hope you found it and got it back together with the nightstand! Of course, the square feet would be very easy to make, but it would save a little color matching. 🙂 I'm always excited to find inexpensive pieces that I can repair. The chair and sofa are wonderful, as is the drop-leaf table. I look forward to meeting the new dolls! 😊

Yes Shyra they're the perfect size and they're usually in cute colors! Plus I've never really found a real "purpose" for them inside of the shirts!🤭☺️😍 I see them as *free gifts"! 😂
I collect little bits and baubles like that, too (Oodles! 😳 But everything has potential, it's hard to pass on it), as does my aunt, and she dubbed them her Might Could Use'ms. I now have a MightCouldUse'm Room instead of an art studio. 🤣 Also, that same aunt has the same (people sized) table as the little folding one there. Hoarding!?! 😱 Now you know we don't hoard😉 we just happen to have more accessories to accessorize any of the precious accessory pieces we come across or have in our arsenal LOL 😂😂!! A girls gotta have options, and the accessories in our collections are what make our world more colorful and interesting than those of others around us. I mean, I could quote page number, section, and paragraph in the International Dollshouse Builder's Regulation Handbook for clarification if necessary but I'm sure you trust my expertise in matters such as these 🤣🤣! Seriously though, the dresser and side table are so unique! I've never seen kit, mass produced, or artisan pieces like them anywhere. What a find!! I would also speculate the couch and chair are artisan pieces, based on the pieces being signed and the length of time between the making of the two pieces. Also, the majority of miniaturists don't take the time or care to sign kit pieces. The little table is precious and everything is spot on!! 🥰🥰🥰

The vanity is by Real Life miniatures . It's part of a full bedroom set. The night stand is from the same set. You are missing the mirror to the vanity.

Anyway, it's part of the Victorian bedroom set, and I suspect, given your skill set, you can easily replicate the missing vanity mirror. It was a faux mirror made with mylar.

I have a container for that sort of trash items. When the container is full i have to stop collecting, or throw out the less interesting things. If i don't restrict myself like that, it will become a serious problem.😂 Enjoyed the video as always!❤

Wow, that couch and chairs were really something. I actually made a dressing table that is a bit reminiscent of that two level marble top piece. I wonder if someone will find it in 50 years and think it is a find. It was pretty nice, I thought. Where the heck do you find all this stuff. I troll Craigs List, Ebay, Offer-Up and Etsy, but I never find old broken pieces to fix up. What's your secret?
LOL I usually "STALK" eBay for broken dollhouse miniatures but one day I was randomly looking on Facebook marketplace for the doll house miniatures I found these pieces. The lady I bought them from had me meet her and the police station parking lot. She had stuff in her trunk. It was the wildest dollhouse miniature purchase ever!😆🤭☺️
Wow, what a weird story. I once helped a woman out who was being harassed in a bar by pretending to be her long lost friend. Later she told me that her "godfather" had had her previous husband "put away" because he hit her. (She told me, "I told him my godfather was bigger than his, but he didn't listen.") Then her new husband (Tony who "worked at the race track" but was wearing a 100% camel hair coat) came and it all became clear to me whom I was dealing with. But no worries. I have the bed, dresser and a nightstand. It has a stamp “made in Japan”. The vanity has a mirror back piece. I love the look of marble tops.

Yes Shyra they're the perfect size and they're usually in cute colors! Plus I've never really found a real "purpose" for them inside of the shirts!🤭☺️😍 I see them as *free gifts"! 😂
I collect little bits and baubles like that, too (Oodles! 😳 But everything has potential, it's hard to pass on it), as does my aunt, and she dubbed them her Might Could Use'ms. I now have a MightCouldUse'm Room instead of an art studio. 🤣 Also, that same aunt has the same (people sized) table as the little folding one there. Hoarding!?! 😱 Now you know we don't hoard😉 we just happen to have more accessories to accessorize any of the precious accessory pieces we come across or have in our arsenal LOL 😂😂!! A girls gotta have options, and the accessories in our collections are what make our world more colorful and interesting than those of others around us. I mean, I could quote page number, section, and paragraph in the International Dollshouse Builder's Regulation Handbook for clarification if necessary but I'm sure you trust my expertise in matters such as these 🤣🤣! Seriously though, the dresser and side table are so unique! I've never seen kit, mass produced, or artisan pieces like them anywhere. What a find!! I would also speculate the couch and chair are artisan pieces, based on the pieces being signed and the length of time between the making of the two pieces. Also, the majority of miniaturists don't take the time or care to sign kit pieces. The little table is precious and everything is spot on!! 🥰🥰🥰

The vanity is by Real Life miniatures . It's part of a full bedroom set. The night stand is from the same set. You are missing the mirror to the vanity.

Another subscriber said that they thought it was a "Real Life Miniatures" Victorian bedroom set. I'll have to research it to see if I can find it on EBAY! Anyway, it's part of the Victorian bedroom set, and I suspect, given your skill set, you can easily replicate the missing vanity mirror. It was a faux mirror made with mylar.

I have a container for that sort of trash items. When the container is full i have to stop collecting, or throw out the less interesting things. If i don't restrict myself like that, it will become a serious problem.😂

Wow, that couch and chairs were really something. I actually made a dressing table that is a bit reminiscent of that two level marble top piece. I wonder if someone will find it in 50 years and think it is a find. It was pretty nice, I thought. Where the heck do you find all this stuff. I troll Craigs List, Ebay, Offer-Up and Etsy, but I never find old broken pieces to fix up. What's your secret?
LOL I usually "STALK" eBay for broken dollhouse miniatures but one day I was randomly looking on Facebook marketplace for the doll house miniatures I found these pieces. The lady I bought them from had me meet her and the police station parking lot. She had stuff in her trunk. It was the wildest dollhouse miniature purchase ever!😆🤭☺️
Wow, what a weird story. I once helped a woman out who was being harassed in a bar by pretending to be her long lost friend. Later she told me that her "godfather" had had her previous husband "put away" because he hit her. (She told me, "I told him my godfather was bigger than his, but he didn't listen.") Then her new husband (Tony who "worked at the race track" but was wearing a 100% camel hair coat) came and it all became clear to me whom I was dealing with. But no worries.
