💛 i have a 10-month-old 11 lb maltese. Luna. During spring, summer and fall, she does 2-3, 30 minute decompression walks daily at the massive Park across the street. But for the past two months we've had 4 ft of snow on the ground and Sub-Zero temperatures. But because of this amazing team...HTTADD, Luna is absolutely unfazed by any kind of weather or temperature. And these daily walks continue for wonderful exercise. She navigates perfectly over ice , playing in feet of powdered snow. And loves every minute of it. So if my little Maltese can be trained to be brave, wildly confident, and wonderfully successful, then your amazing puppy can be also! If I had never found this channel, or the online training program "30 days to puppy perfection", this part of Luna's daily life would have never been a thought in my mind. Thank you again Michele and team! Brian, Spokane, Washington
Dang i got a husky sheperd mix 6 months old im in ohio and we got some major global warming going on by me it's 11:08pm and it is 48 degrees out right now during the day it's in the '60s we had snow on Christmas but after that it just kept getting warmer early spring I ain't complaining but it's weird little scary
🐶Wonderful tip. Ever since I brought Luna home in May of this year. I have her watch 30 minutes of TV typically in the morning. Search on youtube "puppies playing", "farm animals for dogs to watch", "dogs on a beach" or any other creative search words. There are some wonderful creators that have spent hours filming compilations of dogs and puppies and animals in different environments. It sure captures the attention of our puppies. Sometimes Luna will bark. Run up to the tv. Or sit quietly and watch and watch and watch. It keeps her so engaged, that it can mentally stimulate and wear her out quicker than a 20-minute walk.
This is great! I have tried to explain this to my partner and uncle (secondary caretakers) who are very much physical exercise is the main thing and I always come back to an overstimulated hyper puppy that cannot settle. Will be sending them this video!
Thank you SO MUCH for this very generous gift, Brian. It means so much that you enjoy these videos. We are so happy to have you as one of our students! Thanks again!
We have an 11 mo old puppy and are trying to mix it up. a 1km walk in the morning, a 2km walk/sniff/light run in the afternoon. some naps, games and tricks in between she sleeps through the night in her crate from 10 pm to 7 am seems to be a good mix of activities.
Thanks for all the wonderful examples of how I can make sure that my puppy is fulfilled. I can't believe that all this information is free! I gave a small donation to show my appreciation and support! Keep those videos coming!
I tried to walk our new puppy yesterday with harness and leash, he walked 5’ and done. I carried him. In our backyard he does great. Fenced in yard. But being he’s so small we stay with him in case of hawks or something else.
Neighborhood walks are a pretty advanced skill for a new puppy. The outside world is pretty scary. Sounds like more leash work in the backyard will be important.
We do, our puppy is now 9 weeks and doing really well. We are using crate training and he does get fulfilled. Due to the hard floors he often get woken by us doing home routines. Should we move his crate rooms? So he can have a better quality of rest? We don’t want to create anxiousness
Good rest is really important for puppies so if a new location would help with that, it might be a good idea! Did you see this video? It can give you some good tips to consider. ua-cam.com/video/f9OaXIxdXJQ/v-deo.html
This one can give you some tips, and we can guide you through this specifically for your situation at the PRO level of our online course. ua-cam.com/video/Ryfg5O6fgAg/v-deo.html
Great video with all the things we learn in the ProLevel course.. I think i'd like to focus more on setting the environment prior to crate time. Bailey does well going into her crate and usually spends the 10 minutes prior to crate time chewing on her bone. We do utilize calming music which we put on when she goes into her crate. I think we may try setting the mood better by making that 10 minutes of chewing with the music going, the lights low, and her crate door open. We only usually open her crate when she is ready to go in.
That's a great idea, Janette! Give it a try and see how it goes for Bailey! Report back in the FB group or on one of the Zoom calls so we can all learn from your trial and error. Thanks for watching!
If your dog wants to go and you can take him, that's fine. Just allow 30 - 60 minutes before or after eating. Evening walks are best done in decompression spots, which will lead to better sleep. The more physical and exciting they are, the less likely your pup will rest well at night.
Our New Puppy Starter Kit can give you some great tips. Even if you don't have a NEW puppy, you can follow the four fundamentals for potty training and see success. howtotrainadreamdog.com
I liked the idea of setting up the environment to match the goal. If I want baby to settle, I may have to remove the active toys from her pen, put her donut bed down, and give her a nylabone to chew.
Yes, great ideas! It's best if she's sleeping in her crate, not the pen. The pen is great for awake time when you can't supervise 100%. The crate will promote better rest because she won't be able to wander around the area!
I am 11 years old.I am lazy and scared of big dogs.I am at school for 7 hours.I have been researching about dogs for about 4 years.Where I live dogs are uncommon. Should I get a dog and if yes which breed? My parents are scared of dogs too.
A dog is a lot of responsibility and requires a lot of work. For now it might be best if you get to know a friend or neighbor's dog until you are more comfortable around them. Keep watching all our videos to learn more about dog ownership. Maybe once you are older you and your parents can decide if a dog is right for you.
Thanks for watching! 🐶 Which of these tips will you try first to tire out your puppy?
Training my dog
The trick to tiring out a puppy is to be younger than the dog
My dog ate everybody’s coat 🧥 😊. The little monster is so 🥰
Does anybody have some patches?
My dogs make me sing to them and do belly rubs
Otherwise the whine. Like grrrr whining.
They are bossy
How much is the snugglpup

Luna must be so cute, watching her friends on TV!

Great plan! Sometimes it helps to share expert advice rather than try and convince them yourself!
Thanks!

That sounds great! It takes some trial and error to find the right mix of activities but when you've got it, you'll know! :)
Another great video to help us enrich our dog''s life in our human world. Thank you!
Thanks for watching, Peg!

Hi yes it’s very quiet place only me and our other little dog WestiePoo. No cars nothing. But it’s only day 4 . He will learn in time 🐾🐾
So needed 😅
So glad we could deliver! Now you've got lots of ideas for some good zzzz for your pup!
Too excited, we need all the tips to be the best trainers
We've got all the tips! We hope you loved this video!

Could you do a video incorporating a new puppy when you have multiple dogs

Loved the video and advice. 💕. I am going to see if I can always have a fetch session and walk daily with my 16 month old goldendoodle. 🐶💕
You pup will probably love that!

This explains a lot, my puppy just gets more energy when we play 😅
We are glad it helped you. Try working in more mental play and you'll probably see a difference.
What if the dog asks for a daily walk in the evening after dinner? With enough time in between of course

My puppy hates the snuggle puppy had to take it back. It scares him
Every puppy is unique. Maybe just the calming music and white noise machine is better for your guy.
