Where are my young days and where have they gone?
My high school crush danced with me with this song. I watched him danced with every other girl during the prom. He was to leave for another country the next day. That was sweet of him .Never heard from him never seen him since. That was 1976. Thank you for making my prom a memorable one.
My first best friend sang this when I went to his house, he played the piano. I saw the movie lately in you tube. My friend and I drifted apart and I miss him so much. This song reminds me of him, the young man who taught me how to love unconditionally.
When I look back on my past days, I wonder where they've gone.
The first time when I heard this song, I was 19 years old.

Today when I was walking home after work, this song echoed in my mind. So I searched for it in the Net. What an everlasting song!
This was my dad's favorite song. We used to listen to it almost every day. He left too soon for me to know him better and this is one of the few things that help me remember hus smile. Hope he's in a better place now....
i first saw the film way back 1974 in supreme theater in butuan city and i fell in love with the soundtrack upon going out after we watch the film i told my older sister to buy me that song and it happens that we pass by a record store and she brought me 45 rpm vinyl disc and im so happy when i go home to our home town i played it over and over in fact i still have the vinyl,i kept it its my little treasure and for the memory of those happiest childhood years of mine i used to listen to it along with my beloved mama.

I really love this song and I saw this movie when I was in High School 1975. Robby Benson was so handsome. This was hit song before because he sang it with expression and beautifully. I saw the movie in 1977 in a theater with my first teenager love .I was 17 and she was 16.She was the most smart,inteligent,and little crazy girl I met in my life.When we broke up,some years after that,we realized we could be just good friends.and we were.I used to call her every year for almost 40 years.even when I got marry .Then my wife passed away and I called her crying because she was the only real friend I kept.I know she never got married.But She stopped taken my calls.May be because She thinks I want to have the same relation we have when we were teenagers.I dont know.

I "taped" (awful quality) most of this song off the t.v. set in summer of '79. Kept trying to play it back and pick it out on the piano. I was 17 at the time. What a memory, it was so hauntingly beautiful, the words are superb.

Saw this movie on old cable when I was 13. Haven't seen the movie or heard the song in 40+ years. Throughout the years I sang in this over and over without hearing it from Robby Benson. So beautiful to hear it again! Movie here on YT was also fun to see again.

I think "Interlude" is more popular, at least I know it called "Interlude". I only come to know this song called "Blue Ballon" not until five years ago.

Esta canción es el fondo musical de una película, que a mi país, Perú, llegó con el nombre de "Susan & Jeremi". Era el año 1973 en aquel entonces, y yo tenía 17 años, fui al cine a verla acompañado de mi enamorada en ese entonces. Ese mismo día, luego de salir del cine y caminar por el parque, ella me terminó y me rompió el corazón. No volví a escuchar la canción hasta hoy 50 años después, y aunque no me lo crean, volví a derramar unas lágrimas. Pero la canción es hermosa!
