My father did the exact same thing, he is still alive but we haven't been in contact for a while. He was an alcoholic parent. I had a dream last night that I called him and he couldn't remember who I was anymore, and my sister said in that dream that his diabetes is at a deadly level (he has diabetes truly). Balled my eyes out. But I remembered that alzheimer or demented people still remember songs (he is not actually demented or have alzheimer's), so in my dream I thought I could sing this and he would remember and I could have my last contact with my father.
Remembering this song and it reminds me the presence of my late husband...one of our fav song played when we had our trip together with kids. Miss you more and more Papa!!

My english is not really good so I just wanna write that I'm Indonesian I am Number 4 have 3 siblings. I was raised by single parents which is My mother. So, my mother worked as a english techer for middle school. She used to play the oldisk songs (CD ERA) when I was Kid like first elementary school. Been love that kinda songs since the first time My mom played them. She's gone now for 18 months. I listen to this kinda song to remember her.
