    I just got an Amiga 1200 keyboard, without cables, so this was very helpful in knowing what to buy to get it up and running again. Thanks :)

      Enjoy your new machine. The 1200 is great model.

    Thanks for making this video. I've been happily running composite for my A500 but I just rigged up RGB to SCART for my Spectrum and the image is so indescribably clear. I was not expecting it. Yep, my 8 bit Spectrum looks BETTER than my A500. So now I'm looking for an A500 solution lol. This really helped. I'll try RGB to VGA and if my monitors can't handle the 15Mhz, then I think RGB to SCART is the go.

      Yea it is amazing how much better the scart is. As long as it is rgb to scart and not a composite to scart adapter which isn’t any different than plain old composite

    Modern flat screens sometimes have the composite (or AV) as a small 3.5 mm jack. So you have the Y, R ,W at Amiga end and a normal 3.5mm jack at the TV end..

    Can you tell me where you got the Amiga scart cable? I live in Great Britain and saw it was made in Britain so could you direct me as to the best place to buy one as I can't see them on eBay. Thanks.

      I checked and that seller on eBay doesn’t have any listed at present. I did however see similar cables from other sellers.

      I realize it's kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream new series online?

    Now we have got for the A500 the RGB to HDMI that uses a Pi zero. I hope some one dose the same for the A1200.

    I used to use an RF cable which carried the audio and video to a coaxial input on the TV -- can this no longer be done?

    • @yaggieboat
      @yaggieboat  2 роки тому +1

      It can but looks terrible compared to other options. Since this video it has become possible to output to hdmi which looks amazing

      @@yaggieboat I remember it being pretty good on a 19" CRT, but I suppose it'd look rubbish on a modern TV. Unfortunately the RCA and Scart connections are blocked by a wall mounting bracket on my TV, but HDMI is still available. I'll have to have a look at it should the RF look a bit pants on a 50"!
