Classic Dundee 😎🇬🇧👍🏽 Lovely to see the Scotrail HST’s there - HST’s still going strong 😎👍🏽 You’ve nicely captured the steep climb out of the station towards Tay Bridge Junction - great quality video and enjoyable as always 😃👍🏽🎉🎉
The Land Of The Brave, welcome to Scotland. That is clever at Dundee I noticed, the passing loop to gain access to the platform further along. Nice mixed units in action and InterCity7 HST's :-)
So north of the border, Dundee, Scotland. A number of LNER trains stop here, I think to and from Aberdeen via Edinburgh and York to the Euston Road based terminus, the one opposite a road called York Way. Also Scotrail and Crosscountry. I was on board the former while on a Great Britain railtour in 2018, staying in Inverness, others similar to mine while the rest went to Kyle of Lochalsh. I have been there before, 2016.
Just this past Saturday, I was in West Ham to see brief action of Underground services and DLR. Of course, National Rail (c2c) services, many stop at the East London station from Shoeburyness and Southend towards Fenchurch Street. I mentioned before about London's Blackfriars being open air before renovation. It was featured in a lengthy British Rail advert, late 1980s, ran during Christmas/New Year time across many regions like Thames/LWT (London), TVS (South of England like Maidstone and Southampton) and Central (Midlands like Birmingham). You should find the advert on UA-cam.
First watching of one of your videos, very good and train description presentation is one of the best I’ve seen, thank you for sharing. Do York to Dundee several times a year, very familiar ground.
Thanks Ben! I’ve always wanted to go. You have 9 videos in total to look forward to from me north of the border and I have to say, this is the weakest one!! There are so many good ones still to come 😃😃
Hey Starlife! Been a while- apologies for not commenting daily I've been busy quite alot, doesn't mean i didn't stop watching your vids tho! You're content is still amazing and i hope you continue your great work- That 5k subs is near!
Welcome back Daniel! Don't worry, I don't expect you to comment everyday but I'm really glad your still enjoying them! 5K is so close, the channel has nearly doubled in size and I cannot be more thankful for you and others giving me support! 😃😃
@@transitcaptain She does grate a bit here in Edinburgh as she is so obviously Glaswegian! It would be like a Manc doing the announcements on Merseyrail.
Thanks Flynn! Two videos a week are a bit of a funny one. As much I would love to, I don’t currently have plans to make 2 a week nor the time to film whilst working full time. Maybe if I could make a small income from UA-cam, I could consider dropping one day at work. Who knows? 😃
Nice little vid that. Someone told me some of the Azumas were Bi-modal, didn't know that. Also what's the 'HA17' in between the HST Power car numbers in the caption mean please? Cheers
Hello! There are a few types of Azumas. The 800s are Diesel & Electric and the 801s are Electric Only. 801s only go as far north as Edinburgh. The HA17 is the coaching set number indicating this is Set 17 of Haymarket depot. HST sets are treated as power cars plus a coaching set, the coaches are in fixed groups which allows maintenance simultaneously instead of breaking up sets frequently. I try and add these set numbers to my videos where possible but there are very few in service now! Hope this helps and thanks for watching 😃
Love it. Love Scotland! 🏴

Fun fact: the only station in the UK to be below sea level. Easily verified by walking across adjacent Riverside Drive at high tide!
You can certainly tell that from the incline! There are plenty of great Scotland videos on the way, maybe one from your home city too 😉
Never been to Dundee but I would like to take a train up to Dundee and Aberdeen. I have been to Edinburgh, Fort William and Glasgow.

Thank you very much David! I put up new videos from across the UK every week 😃
I like the footbridge which looks as though there is no barrier to falling - untilyou look closely.
We are finally in Scotland because of the new logo allowed. Good. I have always wanted you to do Scotland

great video! you travel a lot :D
Wow
3:47 Scottish announcement, HST. I like the combo. Also I believe they use Allison for the announcements
Yes, Alison is the the posher of the two Scottish announcers. The more 'down-to-earth' one is called Karen.
@@davidpanton3192 I know about Karen

Alison Mckay is my favourite Scottish announcer, then Scottish female then Karen.
