I know I like Manchester airport because of the variety of trains. Other people seem to like Manchester airport too. What were other reasons? 1:09 it’s a shame that that train to Windermere can’t be electric. How hard can it be to just electrify a small amount of track? As an American, I don’t really understand 4:58 that class 331 didn’t get up to speed quickly like it usually does. Also the sprinters around Manchester seem to have fully gone to the east that’s why they’re not in this video
I'm completely with you regarding the electrification issues in the UK. Although, Northern Rail are currently working with CAF (195 and 331 manufacturer) to produce a Bi-Mode battery train concept. Its unclear what routes these new trains would be used on but it will help to strengthen the case for more electrification and removal of diesel only stock. Thanks Ben 😃
Manchester Airport station is a railway, tram, bus and coach station at Manchester Airport, England which opened at the same time as the second air terminal in 1993. The station is 9+3⁄4 miles (15.7 km) south of Manchester Piccadilly, at the end of a short branch from the Styal Line via a triangular junction between Heald Green and Styal stations. Manchester Metrolink tram services were extended to the airport in 2014 and operate to Manchester Victoria.
I didn't really like it when you recorded at stations up North but after this video I'm quite liking the Transpenine express And the class 397 so I would want to see a video at Preston, Liverpool Lime st. Or Manchester Picaddily 🚂🚂🚂
Could there be a open access operator to run a new service from Manchester Airport to London Euston and to use Class 321 or Class 350/2. And the Manchester Metrolink extension to Stockport. Manchester Airport station does have good train services. Including shuttle services to Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria.
Interestingly, a service using 322s and 158s operated from Manchester to Euston under the First North Western brand for a few years in 1998. Given that HS2 will have a stop at this airport, I think it’s unlikely any direct national rail service will ever return 😞
I made sure that the station staff were fully aware of my intentions on the platforms and remained behind the yellow line. I was quite suprised at how open they were about it 😊
Point taken, I spend a lot of time editing my thumbnails to make them brighter and more 'clickable'. Since my thumbnails are mainly used in small forms, I place a lot of emphasis on showing the details. Sorry this is not to your liking LNER Train and Plane Fan.
I don't understand why you care so much, you clicked the video so It can not be that bad. What's the point in saying this? Grow up and have a good night XD.
Glad to see it finally didn’t rain in Manchester
I got lucky! It always seems to rain. 😞 Thanks 😃
I know I live right next to the airport and I normally catch a train to Chester to see my friend I know not alright because it is raining who day
I meant every day not who day
Great video 😎👍🏽 Manchester Airport will become a very busy hub/interchange when HS2 reaches there 😊👍🏽
Idk why but these videos make me feel better 😂
There are plenty of them to watch as well 😃 Many thanks for watching!

Or, for example, buy some amount of trains like 755 (DEMU type I mean)
@@moscovorto that would be great, but Northern doesn’t have the incentive to do that. not like greater Anglia transport for Wales

@@StarlifeStudios hopefully you will get the 313s for the videos
Not trying to be rude but the thumbnails are just way to overedited and just look so grainy
