Absolutely Tom! I throughly enjoyed it 😃 There’s even a small exhibit room at the station with the history of the forth bridge and how the area has changed over the last 100 years!
North Queensferry railway station is a railway station in the village of North Queensferry, Fife, Scotland. The station is managed by Abellio ScotRail and is on the Fife Circle Line, 11+1⁄4 miles (18.1 km) northwest of Edinburgh Waverley.
Absolutely EJC! I love the bridge, such a statement of Scotland and the fantastic engineering which overcomes the environment. I really like the gradient coming down from the bridge as well and the change in track sound as the train rubbles onto the bridge. And HSTs.. what’s not to love 😃
@@StarlifeStudios yes indeed quite a drop from that Bridge there 😀👍🏽 The line between that point and Dundee is made up of quite steep gradients nearly all the way, up then down, its rarely flat 😊 Its quite a sharp climb out of Dundee itself towards the Tay Bridge as well and the railway actually keeps climbing for quite a way across the bridge itself. You have to be a very skill-full driver and know the gradients on a lot of the Scottish routes. After Glasgow Queen Street tunnels (Cowlairs incline which is a very steep 1/41) the fastest and practically the flattest line is between Glasgow Queen St and Edinburgh via Croy and Falkirk.
So North Queensferry, a scene similar to that of Saltash on the Devon/Cornwall border. I was on a nine day railtour in 2018 and I think it was on the third day the charter train began the leg from Edinburgh Waverley to Inverness via Perth. Excellent location there.
Beautifully put together with the Forth Bridge 🌉 looming in the back ground. No place like Scotland ❤️ Next stop !! Inverness or Aberdeen 🏴 🏴🏴💯
Thanks Duaine! It was either this or Dalmeny and they’re both good but North Queensferry has a slightly better sighting distance 😃 Next Scotland video is a bit further south, Dundee was the furthest I got north 😞
Very surprising indeed. I was also told that the day I recorded this was the first day a 5-car HST had operated, something that will hopefully be more common soon 😃 Next Scotland one will be even closer to you 😉
Yep! Traksy is my go to for straight line diagrams. I also occasionally use the freight master maps if the traksy ones look a bit confusing (around London Bridge for example). Interesting that you mention Paddington.. I was talking to staff there very recently 😉
Seems like those Scotrail Turbostars Will dominate the video. Five minutes in and it’s the only train I see. Then it finally changes. Why did the Azuma go so slowly 6:53? I would expect it to speed through at 100 miles an hour
Running very late so following a local which would leave the line at Inverkeithing, a mile and a half away. Speed restrictions wouldn't allow a ton anyway.
Hi Raphael, thanks for your comment. I honestly believe that this video is one of my stronger videos with regards to zooming. I also edit my videos to retain the viewers' interest and when the train is further away from the camera, my statistics show that this encourages viewers to click off. Thanks.
👎 your c o m p u l s i o n to corporately label hereabouts is -cuckoo- cleptoparasitic 👎 and tolerating commercial window-wrapping (on long-distance units!) doesn't bode well, i.e., _adieu! grande bretagne........_
What a beautiful station! The bridge, the tunnel, the trees. Just everything about it :)
Absolutely Tom! I throughly enjoyed it 😃 There’s even a small exhibit room at the station with the history of the forth bridge and how the area has changed over the last 100 years!
On time. I like how we are back in Scotland with a view of an amazing bridge
There are 7 more videos from Scotland 😉👍🏻
@Gerry McNally do you mean that as a question or a fact?
@Gerry McNally Forth RAIL Bridge actually 🤦
@@laytonb No, just Forth Bridge
Very nice backdrop of the Forth Bridge in the background as trains are coming to and from Edinburgh Waverley. Awesome video.
Scotrail's livery is so smart!
Trust me, it's hideous

No longer Abellio ScotRail

Great video in an historic location 😎🇬🇧👍🏽 The Forth Bridge is an engineering marvel 👀😀 Great to see those Scotrail HST’s too...😊👍🏽

Great video as always. 👍
Thanks! 😃

Lovely station, I think 170 426 had some problems with the engine heading over to Edinburgh
Sounded like it was getting wheel slip and the anti slip protection was kicking in dropping the rpm.
A brilliant video as per usual. 👏
Thank you good sir 😃
@@StarlifeStudios your welcome
Great video! North Queensferry is a great station to spot at. You should go trainspotting at Aberdeen!
Thanks! Funny you should mention Aberdeen 😉
Good stuff from somewhere I know well. Surprised to see a 170 on a Perth working: in my experience it's solid 158s!

@@StarlifeStudios I would ask how you know where I live, but I've probably revealed it in an earlier comment! My local station is Waverley.
You’ve definitely mentioned it before 😉
Great video '
excited for this one and there are so many turbos
Fantastic compilation great editing
Thank you very much James 😃
Great railway video as always
I live in Scotland! In Kirkcaldy Please Film at Kirckaldy
Was only at this station last week. Nice location. Great video mate 👍🏻
Thanks Ben 🙂 Shame there isnt a good pub nearby!
@@StarlifeStudios there is...... on the other side of the bridge at Dalmeny 🤣. Went in there for a nice pub lunch with the wife. It's called Hawes Inn
Ahh! I didnt go round to Dalmeny since I was busy filming elsewhere ;) Maybe I should go back here in a few months 🙂
Great video mate 👍👍
Very nice, the turbostars seem to like you lmao
Damn things haha 😃
When can you film at Markinch
Amazing Video
Do you use tracksy to track down trains because I do too 😂
A staff at Paddington told me about it

Thanks ENC! I was really surprised at how peaceful and scenic this station was, I highly recommend it! 😃

The speed limit coming off the Forth Bridge is only 50 and after the tunnel goes down to 40 as well...
Nice 👍
Where do you know the head code of trains and the destinations? Nice video by the way! And also what do you record on?
I use realtimetrains.co.uk for my origin/destinations and headcodes. I record using a Panasonic HC-VX1. Thanks 😃
Thanks

Too much zooming in and out. Genrally too often, specifically too zoomed in at times. Especially when looking towards the bridge. (Why cut it off?)
