All man debo, u mentioned Manns!! Dude the Manns baby-1 is tied on all year! They drop our lakes here in Ohio before winter, I throw that baby-1 around structure and structure you normally don't see when they lakes up & catch em in 40° water!
That War Eagle finesse 5/16th you show at 3:23 in the mouse color- I have no idea why but that spinner bait catches me more spots down here in North Alabama than any I've ever thrown. I think it's the combination of the color and unique vibration- if you'll notice the blades on it are sorta like a willow and an Indiana but both are modified a bit. And color looks like a crappie- which is a staple for the spotted bass that live around me. They don't have shad and they seem to prefer crappie over bluegill- a lot like myself. I'm telling you- if you fish anywhere with crappie around- try it out in the Mouse color, you'll be surprised.
This is my first time ever fishing a fall transition. When I grew up I was taught that fishing was just a summer thing, so I never knew that people did it all year. Now here I am, 40, and this year I've gotten hot and heavy back into fishing after not doing it since forever. I feel like I'm having to learn everything from scratch. I've been throwing some spinnerbaits lately and they've been working fairly well for me. I look forward to the rest of the video to see what else there is!
Your videos are awesome and can stack up against anybody else's. What I will say is nobody details it like you. Specifically for each lure or technique I really like that you show the rod, the reel, and line recommendations, with options for each. I also like that you discuss the size and color of each lure and different ways to work them. 👍🎣
Very good tips for fall lures. All are great baits to use from the bank and even in a boat. Man just keep up the great work. We all appreciate what you do. Family first.
Well there is one word for Debo and that is Gentleman because in my opinion I have yet to see some one so honest on his reviews 😀 😄 😉 Thank you very much 😁👍🏻
Kinda funny to see the Iowa gear, visiting U of I tomorrow. Me and my dad love your content because all these other UA-camrs live down south so you being in the Midwest is perfect. 👍
Awesome tips as always. I feel that most of the tips out there are from a boaters point of view. I'm a bank angler from eastern Iowa. It's always nice to see people from around here!👍
Thanks for keeping the bank angler in mind. Lately I have been doing real well with the ned baits - the zman trd finese, yamamoto 3" thick and thin, xzone and roboworm. But the best peerformer has been the new Mann's JellyWorm (looks like a leech) it cast far and takes a beating far better than the Yamamoto. All this on a med Diawa 7' rod with a Diawa BG 2500 reel loaded with 10# nanofil or 12# braid to a 15' 8 or 10# leader. In the past I have spent $1,00's on hard baits, heavier rods, larger reels, etc and I am content with light tackle finesse fishing!
the real manns jelly worms in strawberry and black grape 8 inch worms are great.. caught bout a dozen bass on strawberry under a tree 1 spring in march and never forgot that morning. every cast or 2 a strike.bout 30 min .they must have been camping next to that tree
yes the ned rig has been a day saver.. i use 2 rods 1 for hard lures 1 for wacky/ neds.check out roboworm nedworms.try out cash custom lures.they rule.its all i use fir my wacky rigs besides jackall flicks..zoom discontinued the smokin blue centipede my fav worm
@@proplay51 yeah i bee. a zoom guy sin ce late 80s but i started fishin jelly worms first.then i found the wacky rig and senkos.niw i use custom honemade lures from cash custom lures.check them out they are the best period.there extreme stix blow senkos and yum worms away
Debo, great video brother. I always learn so much from your videos. I think your choice of fall lures is 100% in line with what I will be using here in Missouri. Thanks agian for dropping some knowledge bombs 💣 on us!!! 🤟🎣🎣🎣
I use the $1 Walmart spinners, they slay in the Fall, especially the white/blue color. Kind of an in-between size. I'm on the bank so if you lose one, no big deal.
3:50. That Lews combo is a workhorse!! Ive thrown it all season, no issues, and ive caught alot of big fish. Always have a underspin tied on it!! Keep up the awesome content my fellow midwestern 💞💞 #GoHawks
AWESOME VID!! I live in Michigan and fish mostly from the bank in shad less waters your knowledge, lure selection and tips on how to fish them help immensely!! I’ve had my best season to date using tips from your videos gotta give credit and thanks to the man DEBO!!
Definitely do try some red…it’s been killing it for me lately and I’m in your neck of the woods. Not just a lipless, the red kicker blade on a spinnerbait as well. This is the first year I’ve tried red in the fall and definitely regret not doing so earlier!
A chrome jerkbait around grass has been my pattern all fall. Best fall fishing I've ever had. Even managed to land a big smallmouth (18" which is big for here)
I've always liked spinnerbaits I remember my dad throwing it when I was younger, however I've never had luck with them, I know it's a confidence thing but I seldom bring them out of the box
Thanks Debo. I’ve had success with all of those, except the lipless. IDK why, but I’ve just never had luck. Guess I should try mixing colors and sizes more, as you mentioned. The only lure I might add to your list would be a small paddle tail swim bait. Thanks for helping us bank anglers. I get so tired of so many other channels providing tips that (for the most part) only work from a boat. Peace!
😂 😂 😂 Love your videos not only for the amazing information but the equally as awesome comedic moments that only life can give- it’s stuck in my pants 🤣
Really appreciate you taking to time to make a long video. Really good fall lure selection. Only 1 is my confidence lure. But I'll be sure to try your other top fall lures.
I am very glad that you have put Bank fisherman ahead of everybody else that's why I like watching your videos because you talk about bank fishing versus people on boats and they talking about that but you definitely put Bank fisherman's first and I very much appreciate that you talk about fishing from the bank and I hope that you never do stop talking about fishing from the bank so again thank you debo and yes I like your other videos that you talk about Baits and rods and reels I like it all but I really do like about Bank fisherman I know I have said it several times but I disappreciate you talking about Bank fisherman
Thanks for the video Debo. Great choices for fall for sure. I would add a buzzbait because it seems to be the one that works best for me, at least this year so far. Appreciate the long video, and yea, we got our money's worth on this one. Thanks man! ✌🏻🎣
I have been extremely successful crankbait fishing this fall. My buddy has been doing well on the lipless, and for those who enjoy finesse, the dropshot has brought in some bigs over the last couple weeks.
Nice video! I would say honorable mention is definely the underspin which excels around riprap and bridges. But you can get those fish with a spinner bait most of the time also.
Great info as always. Love that you cover the whole aspect of it even where and how to feesh it. Hoping to get out soon for some fall fishing 🤞🏼. Tight lines!! 🎣🎣🔥🔥
Another great one. Thanks DEBO your top 5 are spot on of course you can always add more rite..lol im catching them on top water and a jerkbait they wont eat nothing else by me. God Bless and tight lines
Debo, well covered man. What , where, why. Great content. You’re doing an awesome job!!!Shout out to Randizzle on the war eagle spinner baits. I picked some up & have been killing it. Keep up the great content. Always look forward to it. Love the shirt👊 Go Hawks!!!
*Fun little bait great for ponds. This thing casts really well for its size, I was surprised. Good for when you need to downsize and gets smaller fish to commit*
I completely agree with your assessment of that lews rod n reel combo. I grabbed one from Walmart and wouldn’t fish anything else for awhile. I have some fairly expensive setups but that lews rod just feels good and it’s pretty light. You can tell it lacks in quality but for bass and panfish it is more than fine.
Back in the day before UA-cam you would learn tips and tricks from a small handful of people. Now with technology you can get tips, trick's, and techniques from hundreds of different fisherman. I think that's pretty cool
I think you got just about every major player in fall bass fishing, but one tiny contributor that I think you overlooked is the OLD old school staple: a single-bladed inline spinner. Like spinnerbaits, they do a fantastic job of producing the flash to mimic bait, but their ability to downsize all the way to like an 1/8th of an oz make them super versatile for bodies of water that don't host a ton of large swimming forage, i.e. rivers.
Agreed on the different price points I have some higher end rods that I love to use but a lot of the times I will still grab my 100 dollar American hero combo.
Spinner, topwater any except a frog, chatterbait, swim bait/ underspin, something to pick apart and clean up (Texas rig, drop, wacky, shakey, ned) just something with soft plastic i can target an area with
I use the lew's Xfinity spinning combo from Walmart. $65 versus $100 for the baitcaster and you can do everything with that spinning combo and don't have to worry about backlashes.
Crazy how variable experiences are in the fall. Some people swear the fish are hyper aggressive others say it's a skunk all day. I am in the worst skunk streak ever this year. I haven't caught a fish the last 8 times I went out. Cranks, lipless, spinners, swim jigs, worms, top water popper, buzz baits....just haven't worked for me.
I’ve been having good luck lately with stick baits, not just wacky rigged. Caught my first ever smallie on a wacky rigged max scent general yesterday and my PB largemouth with a Texas rigged 6” senko a couple weeks ago.
I'm a big Lew's Xfinity 🤔 guy got 3 of them two spinning reel's never a problem. For the money worth it. My newest ABU Garcia STX is medium heavy moderate fast is not that stiff like Lew's combo's. Thank you for the video
Debo your the man!! Man Iowa Hawkeyes have been killing it, they're tough 🔥 but still, O-H-I-O GO BUCKEYES!! Debo I been killing them in the river on flukes and pencil style topwarer, specifically the ARK TB115 dude u gotta get one if you haven't tried it yet! It walks like no other bait ive seen, literally hops out of the water
Thanks for sharing your top 5 Fall Baits and the way to use them!!👊🏻 Very helpful for the beginner. Just started to use the underspin and had very much success with it. What retrieve do you use with the lipless?? Caught a nice 4+ a couple springs ago!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
I say it time and time again I have the Abu Garcia Black Max combo and for a while it was my only baitcaster setup. I have caught some of my biggest fish on that combo including snook and tarpon🎣🇺🇸🎣
I have a handful of finesse jigs I need to try out I never throw them. I struggle to slow down this time of year lol fishing ADHD at its best lol paddle tail, spinner bait, ned rig is always tied on for me this time of year
The hank parker speed stick at Walmart is an im8 like 46 dollar rod and it’s becoming my favorite i first for a medium fast but I went back for a medium heavy fast and I put that abu Garcia max x reel when Amazon put it on sale for like 40$ and like you said it casts so far and I literally have never even back lashed it it’s crazy! Literally my favorite combo right now and I have a 400$ combo with the a shimano dc reel
i caught more bass off my pflueger combo apprentice 5 ft 10 in med rod.for 55.00 than i have off my expensive st croix elite rods and kistler lta.i have a custom falcon lowrider from 97 6 ft 6 in and is a killer crankbait rod made in u s.a..1 if the first made lowriders
I have a kayak, but a lot of the time only have limited short time to fish so I really appreciate and value you giving bank fishing tips. That aside, do you have any jerkbait bank tips? Thanks and Feesh on!
I've caught multiple fish just after my spinnerbait has landed on top or next to stick ups. And if your careful, you can thread it through "fingery" branches and get quality bites. Especiay if you bump one of the branches on the way through.
Pretty much the same as my top 5. I do switch between spinnerbaits and chatterbaits depending on wind. But everything else is exactly what's tied on right now. Still can't put the frog away yet. So ...... there's that.
Debo, the Patron Saint of Bank Anglers! Thanks for showing us the love! 🎣👍

Keep coming with the bank fishing stuff, I need more ideals on how to get more bass on the bank, please
Very good tips for fall lures. All are great baits to use from the bank and even in a boat. Man just keep up the great work. We all appreciate what you do. Family first.

I feel like there's a pretty good amount of midwest fishing youtubers, they just don't get as many views because the fishing is a lot worse.
Thanks for the shout out Debo man love talking tackle and watching your videos been a big fan of yours foe a long time keep up the good work!!!

I’d say the finesse jig or any jig really in my area. Video was really good, just wish I could get some bites now 😂
Just picked up my first bait caster since I was a kid. Looking forward to trying some of these lures
Great video and a lot of good information. You are a good teacher! I have watched it twice and will probably watch it one more time. Thanks Debo!🙂
Awesome Vid great info for the Bankers 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for the advice. Great videos for some of us newbie's.
Great tips bro. I definitely took some notes for Kentucky fishing

I need to dedicate a reel to mono for topwater.
Great show and info!
I love the Bill Lewis Rattle Trap, because it's easily notified !!! I notified mine. You all should notify yours !!
What makes your channel so good (and rare) is the absolute zero certain price and or brand agenda. $2- $20? Whatever works good for the best price.

Jerkbait this fall has been most productive, silver black back. Then whacky and spinnerbaits. They’ve always been cool.
Great tips as always keep the great content coming.
Another great one, thanks for the detailed info.

Team Kistler baby wooo!! Lol best rods on earth in my opinion! I love the KLX but the feel n reel is my favorite for tbe chatterbait/spinnerbait
Those lures are my favorites all year long.
Great video Debo Thanks brother
Debo your the man!! Man Iowa Hawkeyes have been killing it, they're tough 🔥 but still, O-H-I-O GO BUCKEYES!!

11:18 putting a piece of a coffee stirer on the end of your mainline can help to avoid foul hooks like this
I watched where taku Ito was using a wacky rig swimming it in that elite series he caught like 3 fish over 7lbs!
The lure works great. I have not got a fish yet but will soon!
I'm a big jerkbait guy, always have been and they work great in the fall my favorites are Rapala Xrap and Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow
Like watching your videos good information 🎣
Hey Debo, What is that swimbait on that Kistler rod at 5:25?
I say it time and time again I have the Abu Garcia Black Max combo and for a while it was my only baitcaster setup. I have caught some of my biggest fish on that combo including snook and tarpon🎣🇺🇸🎣
Wishing I could get out and fish these fall time baits. Unfortunately we’re in the process of moving so between that and work my schedule is shot
Literally my favorite combo right now and I have a 400$ combo with the a shimano dc reel
great video my dude
i caught more bass off my pflueger combo apprentice 5 ft 10 in med rod.for 55.00 than i have off my expensive st croix elite rods and kistler lta.i have a custom falcon lowrider from 97 6 ft 6 in and is a killer crankbait rod made in u s.a..1 if the first made lowriders
good stuff bro! i think ill try them all!🤣
Love the content keep it up
square bill is my go to in the fall. I just seem to better with it than a spinner bait
I like a chatter bait! Seems like they like them too!
Another great video!!
I have a kayak, but a lot of the time only have limited short time to fish so I really appreciate and value you giving bank fishing tips. That aside, do you have any jerkbait bank tips?
Thanks and Feesh on!
How do we fish the lip less on a yo-yo retrieve? Hahahah... love it!!!!
Smashed em today throwing a buzz bait …in Maine ….black and blue with a junebug krackin kraw trailer
