Your cideos have inspired me to stsrt creating my own props. Most of the tutorials I have watched were a tad confusing but yours is fantastic. Thank you for taking the time!
I have a question, first of all haven't worked with paper mache since high school in the 70s. I bought a large plastic pumpkin at good will and thought I could use it as starting point for my scary pumpkin. I was going cut it in 2 sections an peel away the form , however it didn't work the way I hoped I only have 2 layers on it but the the stem is quite thicker and was pulling apart nicely until I got to the thinner sections and it started ripping. So I should I keep applying layers or scratch it and start over, I was thinking if I cut in quarters maybe it would work better. I hate to scratch it and waste all I done so far. Thanks for your time, I love your videos.
Ok so I’m like you don’t like to waste things.. I would go ahead and layer it up more for sure.. if that base layer is thicker it will be more rigid once it’s off and easier to assemble later. If it’s a big pumpkin you may have to cut it off in quarters.. the trick is to work it off gently.. use something very thin that you can get between the mache and pumpkin to help it separate.. I hope this helps
Do you have any Raven tutorials? I’ve watched a few but they aren’t as explanatory as you.....I learn by watching every detail, but I need to HEAR those details as well. Your videos are so thorough with your verbal teaching. I appreciate it. As I’m sure many do. Thank you for taking time to reply.
Unhinged Productions , well I hope you get your creative passion back....my sister and I (the creepy ol’ bitties we are lol) have sat and watched all the tutorials and truly wondered if you were a prop designer for movies. Halloween is coming............lol

LOL! Ya I hang it with fishing line but never put it on a pulley.

what else can you use for the wings?
Almost anything, paper, thin cardboard, just about anything that’s thin
👍👍
What kind of fabric do you use for the wings?
It’s been so long I don’t really remember.. it was like t-shirt material I’d say mainly cotton
Gourmet paper mâché. He's the father of this type , buy his book . He uses plain ole sheets.
