Beck had many great eras but the Midnite Vultures era always stood out to me as my favourtie for some reason. Just wish I discovered him when I was younger!
I'm so bummed out that this song has never been released. It would've been a great Sea Change b-side, or hell even a great Sea Change a-side. I get some major blues from listening to this - the emotion in the notes is so prevalent and satisfying.
Actually, the movie was called "A Life Less Ordinary," which was only so-so in my opinion if I remember correctly, and the Beck song on the soundtrack was "Deadweight," which I think is a pretty decent tune.
The finest country wine And she's always on my mind Swaying across the room And taking her time like she do Taking her time like she do Stay here by my side Oh my creole belle Dreaming a dream that's real She'll never make me feel There's something better somewhere If there was, I wouldn't care If there was, I wouldn't care Only time will tell Oh my creole belle Only a fool would try To keep her by his side Only a dog would run He's never had no one He's never had no one Shadows of myself Oh my creole belle
jajaja, yeah, it's a great collection the beck repertory, i'm looking for a song called "inmirato per signora" or something like that... i've only heard it only once and now i can't find it
I've never heard a version of creole belle like this before. It is so far off base they should have just gave it a new name. I think i agree with the dude below me. 'creole belle' is an old string band marching tune. this has taken to many liberties. Beck has some good tunes, but this isn't one of them
i love the soft delivery of the vocals
What a beautiful song, and i never heard it before. Thanks for putting these out for us beck fans 2 enjoy :-)
ugh I love this songgggg
