Thanks once again Jerry I love learning about China it has fascinated me since I first went there over 30 years ago I still cannot believe the changes I have witnessed in such a short time I will never understand the western bias toward china
Thank you for your willingness to share your personal experience without fear of rejection and prejudice from others, so that more people in the world who have never been to China can understand the real China.
Keep up the good work Jerry! It's an uphill task to change the mindset of many Westerners about China. But with positive videos like yours, more of these brainwashed people can become more open-minded. Thanks!
Thank you. I'v got a couple more like this in the pipeline too. Xinhua came to my apartment last week for an interview and that one will be national throught China
This is real life in China, and very objective and true view from a Westerner . Thanks Jerry , keep on . Wish you could share more of your experiences to Westerners so that they are not brainwashed by the 'main media' . Mutual understanding is the key to understanding and dialogue between nations . Please show more about Xinjiang so that people have more knowledge about it . 🙏
Absolutely correct, Jerry. See and experience it for yourself before passing any judgement on today's China. I was extremely hesitant to visit China for many years exactly because I believed all that I read and saw on western media. Then I took the "plunge" 3+ years ago before Covid and did a short exploratory 10 days trip that covered Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Hangchow and Chongqing. Experienced the first Siemens build maglev train that hit 410 kmh on that ride. Got the evidence on my camera as the digital speedometer in the cabin climbed to that peak! That trip blew away all my preconceptions and unnecessary fears that I'd build up over the years. I'm looking forward to spending more time over there to experience the country more in-depth when all the Covid stuff settles down and travelling is more relaxed and predictable again. Great people. Great infrastructure. Great food. Fantastic sights and history. Great facilities and amenities. All at a great price! Within an extremely safe environment! What more can one ask?
You've nailed it TC, there's nothing more a country can ask of its government and, when I tell people in the West this, they assume I'm either lying, paid or coerced to say it - I'm so glad you had the opportunity to experience it for yourself If you come back, look me up
Wow I envy you Jerry you are living in Zhongshan the best roast goose come from there! …not forgetting the seafoods. With the Industrial developments there it will be a dream place to be. Work and leisure the best combination for human existence… not forgetting the best foods.
I am very lucky, I didn't choose to come to Zhongshan, I was lucky enough to be sent here and decided to stay, partly for the food, partly the climate, the environment is also good and now, having decided to stay in 2005 I met my wife and wouldn't want to be anywhere else
My wife is from Zhongshan, a place that made me fall in love with China with its welcoming people, Cantonese style food, subtropical weather and variety of activities. Thanks for another great video.
The infrastructure in China is second to none Jerry! I remember when I was in China 2012 the Zhuhai Hong Kong bridge either wasn’t started or maybe had just started. In 2019 while working in GZ my daughter and I travelled on that bridge. It was an amazing experience…. I can’t believe they built that in around 7 years!!! In NZ we’d still be thinking about it! I really enjoyed the video Jerry. I want to travel the Zhongshan bridge when I’m next able to get to China. Thanks 👍👍👍

He loves to travel and China prevented that. He also loves to Vlog and doing so as a foreigner in China on Chinese media has difficulties. He's in Vietnam now and I sincerely hope he finds what he needs there but I don't think he'll ever return to China to live again. Sad really!
