China is pushing ahead with a grand plan to merge 11 cities in the Pearl River Delta into one mega economic and business hub. It's called the Greater Bay Area, with each city playing its own unique role as in this economic powerhouse. But integrating all 11 cities into a megalopolis comes with a slew of challenges.

A lot of people's complaints about China's government and progress are not about the progress itself but what it will do with that power. I am HOPING that it will not use its power to completely homogenize its borders by forcefully (even passively) assimilating its minorities, then invading its territorial claims, and finally ignoring international laws like universal human rights and maritime borders just because it's doing its "own thing". Because if China's "own thing" is stepping over people and acting like it's above morality, then the Chinese government is a bunch of horrible and evil people.

SCMP is a Western media HQ in HK. SCMP’s heritage is British, or British Colonialism to be exact. Its new mission is to salvage, celebrate, and promote British interest in HK after HK’s return to China. During the past two decades , China has developed mega cities near and surround area of HK and these new mega cities have surpassed HK’s economic importance. For examples: Shenzhen and Guangzhou had surpassed HK economic attainment several years ago. Here, SCMP portrays HK as a vital component of GBA when in fact HK has seen its better days. SCMP is praising HK as HK practices certain British rituals and peculiar customers. Essentially, SCMP is soft-selling the propaganda that British way is better than the Chinese way.

I believe San Franciso Bay Area still did well than South China's Greater Bay Area in terms of GDP per capita:
$19767 USD or US$19.7K (China's Greater Bay Area (Including Hong Kong and Macao))
$125000 USD or US$125K (San Franciso Bay Area)
So, in GDP / Population, the numbers are shown. Therefore, I still think San Franciso Bay Area is better, with multiple tech companies located there.
