Sorry to nitpick, but I think you should check your intonation or fret level or something, 'cause for some reason your 6th string seems to be a bit sharp when you fret. Might be tuning but for some reason it's especially noticeable when you're in the 3rd position compared to open strings...
Another thing to note about that position is you can actually hear the major third of that first chord sometimes being played on the b string along with the note on the g string since Kurt was just barring across and he accidentally picks too far sometimes. If you listen closely you can hear it happen on occasion in the song. Same thing happens in Teen Spirit. He plays the 5th and octave of the power chords by barring across the strings with one finger so he sometimes plays the note on the next string as well.
Yeah, the open chords sound a lot better too.
Lithium is played in D standard tho
