Took my son fishing today and I pulled out my walking lure... my son asked me if I had a mono leader. (I use mono leader for my walk lures) I asked "why do you ask?" He told me because Mr. Evers says it keeps the nose from dipping because it floats. Just wanted to let you know that you are reaching our youths. Total awesomeness.

I picked up two 7’-4” MH fast favorite rods a month ago and love them for top water. One thing I struggle with is pitching, nothing really too helpful on the actual motion on utube. The first mistake I made was trying to use #12 mono. I’m probably not the only one out there. Keep it up great videos.

Edwin, i just subscribed to your channel yesterday and cannot watch enough of your videos. Awesome channel and your advice will work perfectly here on South Africa as well. Very warm summer ahead and the fishing is going to be brilliant. As a teacher i have more than a month holiday so the bank and small boat will be my best friends until the wife starts complaining...GREAT channel again, Bud. Ok, now a question: It's September, nights are getting cold (I'm North of the border...), days are still nice but cooler. What are the 3 techniques I must carry with me right now. Yes, they are a lot more depending of the conditions but name 3 that MUST be in my boat no matter what. 3 "go to", 3 "no brainer" when the temperature is starting to drop (leafs are still green, no colors yet).

I have a 7'4" MH bass x with a 8.2 shimano slx dc. Makes an awesome top water rod. I have a few mediums but they get most of there use for cranking square bills and medium diving crank baits. The only thing I really use my heavy action rod for is throwing big spoons or 10xd crank baits. I've learned a lot from watching you and the other pros over the years and I started doing tournaments a few years ago. I used the money I win from tournaments to upgrade gear when I can.

I still use reels I bought nearly 20 years ago. Lews laser reels I paid $60 each I beleive. Rods was and some still are BPS bionic blade and crankin stik rods. I wanted all my rods to feel the same. The rods had same reel seats and handles. I used to fish tournaments. Quit fishing for nearly 10 years. So now I rely on you to help me catch up with the times. If you want to learn Lake Hartwell I'll teach you. I lied I suck but I'm having fun trying to learn it.

Good info EE. Thx! I dont know if this excites you for a video topic, but as a bank fisherman I have weight and rod limitations to carry. What do u think of doing a video on carrying 2 or 3 rods and what all techniques i could do on these limited rods i carry. For example, i usually carry my finesse spinning rod, 6-8 med light, fast action to use for dropshot, ned rig, wacky rig. Then I have casting rod 7-2 MH fast action, for almost everything. Then i bought a dedicated jerkbait rod 6-11 probably a med action fast tip, its a Megabass levante jerkbait special. Per Tactical Bassin videos i think i could also use this jerkbait rod for small swimbaits like the 2.8 inch and small finesse jigs. I also have a 7-2 Heavy rod, fast action that i ptetty much just use for 6 inch swimbaits. I sometimes carry the heavy rod. I sometimes carry all 4 rods when i want to include the larger swimbaits that day. So im wondering what techniques i could overlap and use on my limited rod selection. For example, would crankbaits work better on the MH rod or the med jerkbait rod or finesse spinning rod? U follow me? Given three rods, what techniques could i use on which rod? Thanks buddy.
