Hi Ben. Tried this and got 10k likes for £100! Great in that sense. Had it set to global, so alot of likes from africa and asia. Only issue here to consider is; has this contaminated my look a like audiences? as is i run LAL based on people who engaged with page in last 90 days, it's going to look for these people, many of which have nothing to do with my niche, local service as based so far away and i think just click it for asperiational or other random reasons..

Hi Rahul - there is still a page like objective but Facebook have put it under engagement. If you select engagement, you'll see there are 3 options to choose from - one of them is page likes.
Very informative video Ben. If you have a page that has recently been created or you have a small amount of likes on a page (for example less than 300 likes) would you recommend starting your Facebook Marketing Campaign with a likes campaign (to boost the amount of likes) or start with an awareness-building ad?
Great question Andrew - I would start with a quick likes campaign to help establish that credibility. You'll only need to run that campaign for a few days, do generate a bunch of likes - then you can transition

So I am just wondering, should I run a campaign like when I don't have any posts yet? Or should I create some posts first, boost them and then run a campaign like? Thank you
I think that's a good question. I would add 4 or 5 posts to your Page first and then run the Page like campaign. You can backdate posts so you can do that in a few minutes :)
That might be because you are creating a campaign using guided creation - if you switch to quick creation you should see all those campaign objective options.
@@captaindusk8097 ah I see. Facebook label things differently in different ad accounts (that's how they test UI changes) so that was probably what happened there. It looks like you are all good that - that will be the same objective.

Hi Ben, thanks for this and the many other of your vids I've found useful so far. Could you comment on the quality of the likes one might get using this approach and the probability of making future sales through them?

The Facebook Page likes are more valuable from a credibility and industry authority stand point which can really help all your other Facebook marketing

great video Ben, I will do this when I start with my advertising business! What would you recommend when starting with a new client, first grow their awareness then do conversion campaign? Thanks!
Thanks a lot. We usually run a very quick page likes campaign to raise their profile. Then we mainly focus on conversions or lead gen depending on the business, and run a small amount of brand awareness alongside that.
Hi ben i want your suggetion.. if someone have small business and they have facebook business page but no website.. What stratigy they should use... store visit campaign or page likes ..first please let me know
Hi Sohail, the strategy described in this video would still work but I would recommend you add around 5 posts or so to your Page to make it look active.
another excellent content! I just have a question... if I run a page like campaign for a page and then completely change the main theme and content of the said page later on.. will those likes disappear? I'm thinking about getting lots of likes with a page featuring.. say.. pretty women surfing under the sun and them completely turn that page to an unrelated dropshipping business page.
Thanks a lot - Facebook won't let you change your page theme and content that much I'm afraid. They have that in place to stop being doing what you're suggesting so I would be very careful!
Hi Ben, for our own fb brand page, we ran a facebook ads for worldwide audience as you demonstrated for $10/day and got fantastic results after 5 days (1700+ page likes). Then we kept everything the same except for narrowing the audience to the 5 western english-speaking countries and daily likes was expected to be 47-145/day. We have run for 3 days so far, but result is abysmal, only around 7 likes in total. The frequency is about the same compared to the 1st campaign (1.12 vs 1.4). What did we do wrong? Is it because ad fatigue or something else?

Hey what if my business is created for a non- English-speaking audience? I guess I should set it for nation-wide right? So for my case that'd be Thailand and Laos.
Thanks, Ben. I previously ran a low-cost campaign targeting 3rd world countries. the result was cheap likes but no engagement. some people even said to scrap the page it is was ruined because of that. I am running one for a new page and want to target just Canada. and would also like to focus on entrepreneurs etc, but my target audience was only 200k and I was getting 20c per like, bat after 46 likes the frequency was 1.8 and it was really slowing down. Any suggestions to improve this situation pls? 😀
Hi Ben. I've got about £250, (starting a print on demand business so finds are a bit tight), in budget to run ads, do you think that's enough to reach 10k likes?? I know that's a very broad question but just wanted your opinion. Cheers mate.
Hi Ben, great video! I have a couple of questions on it though. Does the worldwide audience typically result in large amounts bot activity? I've had issues in the past of running ads to certain countries for cheap but having to deal with excessive bot traffic. I wanna make sure I am reaching a real audience. Thanks!
Thanks a lot. That's not something I've seen personally and to be honest it wouldn't worry me too much if it did. I still think going worldwide is worth it.
It does - it is just an option under engagement now. If you have the new ODAX campaign objective menu then you need to select engagement and then select your Facebook Page as the destination at the ad set level.

I have general product as Pet Product, Beauty & Health, Sport & Fitness, Baby Care, Home & Kitchen, Consumer Electronic, How to write the description to attract people to like Facebook page? Thank
You have one Facebook Page that sells products in all those categories? That will be tricky. I would create an ad that is specific to each category and see which performs best. I imagine some will generate a lot more interest. You can then focus your efforts on that category more than the others to begin with
Great video! I used it to create 2 Facebook page like ads and they are doing very well! Ben, when building authority, what numbers would you recommend to get at for your page and group before you do more targeted advertising? Right now I am happy with the numbers, but I don’t feel it’s an audience that is going to engage, which is what really matters. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. The simple answer to audience size is as large as possible is best. The constraining factor for most businesses is budget. Without knowing your business' numbers it's very difficult to say. Some business want and are willing to pay for tens or hundreds of thousands of people - others have to start smaller.
My main question Ben is i dont want just any page likes i wanted targetted first home buyer facebook page likes. Because whats the point of getting really cheap page likes if that arent suited to the group im running. And i havent been able to get the cost per page like down under 1.50 per like testing a lot of different formats and targetting ie australia age 21-45 who has search first time buyer or first time buyer grant into interests. Any suggestion?
The value of worldwide page likes is the credibility it provides your page. However, if you are looking to build a Group then I can certainly see why that's a route you don't go down. I think that sort of cost per like for Australia is decent. Especially if that's in AUD. Reducing page like cost is all about your ad creative. You want to make that as interesting and engaging as you possibly can.
Hi Ben, how much are page likes from just my locality ( Sussex ) going to cost me.... I'd be more interested in those likes eventually converting into a few sales. I appreciate your point that the audience would be tiny, but does this mean it wouldn't work, or would it just take forever to reach my objective of a few hundred or thousand page likes? Cheers mate! 😊
@@BenHeath wow.. I guess 60p per like Is pricey compared to likes from cheaper countries.. I guess those low quality likes are only useful as social proof then, and won't necessarily translate into sales unless I'm selling Worldwide! Thanks Ben
Hi Ben, great video. I’m starting out by advertising other products which they have generated the ads on my page already. However, when I publish it for likes, will my FB friends see it? I’m trying to keep it all separate and don’t want to rely on them to likes or comments. Thanks
Hi Natalie, they may well do - depending on who has liked your page and who you are targeting. Provided you are advertising good quality stuff, it's not something I would worry about.
Ben Heath Ok thanks Ben. I’m so new to this all so it’s a little overwhelming...but with your videos, it does help. One more question. I have signed up to an affiliate program who have already started creating ads via their blogs on my page. Do you have a video that shows how to upload the affiliate links, preferably before I start a campaign for likes? Thanks Ben.
Doesn't facebook use the profile data from the people that liked your page for your ideal target profile of audience. So if your local and you have world wide targeting when you run local ads won't the worldwide likes campaign screw up your audience targeting?
If you are boosting posts then maybe. But I wouldn't recommend anyone boosts posts. You are much better off creating your campaigns in Ads Manager where you have a lot more functionality. In Ads Manager, you will select your target audience (usually lookalikes) and it doesn't have any effect on that.
Thanks a lot. On the right hand side of your group you should see the invite members section. You need to be interacting as your Page not your personal profile in your group to do this.
Great video. Question? My new business is focused towards the LGBTQ+ community. Should I still run this campaign on the Worldwide location setting? Or would that be wasting money. We know some of those smaller countries may not be as open minded as the Western World.

The only compaign which i believe is closer to this goal is called Engagement; however at the Ad level there is no PAGE LIKE BUTTON ; the only available option are learn more, etc . Please adviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiise :)
Click engagement and then you have the page like option.
You can find the page like option underneath the engagement objective :)
Hi.
Why is there no option for me "Page Likes" option for my Campaign Objective? I can't seem to find it. PLEASE HELP!
You will find that option if you create your campaigns using 'Quick Creation'
My niche is fairly specific (baseball training) and my product requires me to coach the athlete 1x1. My daily budget is fairly small, im just wondering if its better to focus on getting likes from regions that have baseball players rather than going world wide considering baseball isnt that popular in other parts of the world
I would probably say so yes :)
@@BenHeath or is there something beneficial about having a large volume of likes in the beginninging. Should i do a worldwide campaign starting out even though my niche and language is only in specific regions?
@@BenHeath How do you make questions mandatory to answer once you invite people from your page to your group? All of my group invites are getting automatically accepted without answering questions
You were silent for a few seconds, thought that I paused the video by mistake 😅 will try out this page like ad. After every video, I watch I'm trying them out. thanks for an awesome video.
Thanks Jocelin, best of luck with it.
Yes, I noticed the pauses too - I think it may be where Ben is expecting mid-video ads to appear, but the timing is a bit off.
@@chrisw9854 that's just thinking time :)
great video Ben, I will do this when I start with my advertising business!
Ben Heath thank you so much Ben! Ok, makes sense.
Best information video i've seen in a long time easy to follow ..thank you...
Thanks for letting me know :)
Hi ben i want your suggetion.. if someone have small business and they have facebook business page but no website.. What stratigy they should use... store visit campaign or page likes ..first please let me know
Where do I locate the 5 part Facebook ad template Ben?
Hi Ronaye, you can download it here: www.leadguru.co.uk/facebook-ad-template-lp/
so the "page likes" objective has been removed now what other option do you recommend ? is the alternative "Engagement" ?
Found it...go with Engagement campaign objective and you will see page likes! :)
Spot on :)
Very interesting, never knew something like this existed.....
What if page doesnt have much of a content? It would still work or we need to have something regularly added before we run these page like ads?
Hi Sohail, the strategy described in this video would still work but I would recommend you add around 5 posts or so to your Page to make it look active.
Are STOCK PHOTOS still available on fb?
Hi Ben do you have link on how to get more likes and followers on facebook page without spending money?
another excellent content!
@@BenHeath ahh.. gotta play it straight.. thanks
Can you do like page campaigns for real estate business pages with special ads category?
Hi Ben, for our own fb brand page, we ran a facebook ads for worldwide audience as you demonstrated for $10/day and got fantastic results after 5 days (1700+ page likes). Then we kept everything the same except for narrowing the audience to the 5 western english-speaking countries and daily likes was expected to be 47-145/day. We have run for 3 days so far, but result is abysmal, only around 7 likes in total. The frequency is about the same compared to the 1st campaign (1.12 vs 1.4). What did we do wrong? Is it because ad fatigue or something else?
Hi Ben, a bit late commenting, but wondering, does this fast addition of likes, affect your ability to monetize views on facebook videos
Good question and I honestly don't know. I don't monetize views on Facebook videos so it's not something I'm concerned about.
Just wondering, on business pages, the amount of likes is more important than quality?
Yes, I would say so because organic reach is tiny on Facebook. Page likes are more of a credibility indicator than a way to generate new customers.
Another great video. Thank you. Shared with friends
Thanks for sharing!!
Hi, great content. Thank you for all the knowledge. i am facing a problem. Under campaign objective, all options are visible but " page like " is not there. Can you help ??
Thanks a lot. You need to switch to quick creation instead of guided creation.
@@BenHeath thank you. I am new to fb ads and trying to create my first campaign after watching your videos. Can you tell me how to switch to quick creation? There is no switch to quick creation button on my guided creation window. What should I do?
@@nishsays8843 Hey Nish
If you haven't found it already, go to business manager overview > ads > show more details in ads manager > + create > make fast
So this would also work well for a local dentist Facebook page?!
Sure - if establishing credibility on the platform is your objective.
How much content do you need on your facebook page for this to work?
I'd usually add 4 -8 pieces of content (this doesn't have to be stuff you've created.)
Hi Ben, I tried worldwide on my 2nd ad account (2nd page) the estimated daily results very different although it has the same audiences. Also I can't change the "Whenever You Get Charged" from impression to page like. I already run it from the "Promote Page" (2nd page, 2nd ad account) It's not delivering the estimated result of 700-2200 daily result (customized audience). Please help me ASAP
Hey what if my business is created for a non- English-speaking audience? I guess I should set it for nation-wide right? So for my case that'd be Thailand and Laos.
Are page likes good for creating a warm audience? Or at least a lookalike audience for SLO offers?
Not really - you are better off using other sources.
@@BenHeath Do you have a video on this that could work for someone with no audience yet?...find ways to go from cold to warm audience using FB ads...
Hi Ben, I’m a content creator on Facebook. I’m curious if their is an ad that will generate more 3 sec views.
Sure - certain ads perform much better than others.
Facebook is not the same anymore . My group has 50k and the engagement is lower than ever now
Thanks, Ben.
These days, what is the average cost per "like" generated using FB ads?
Great video, excellent content 👌 👏
Thanks Kirt.
That varies massively between industries, locations etc. But I would say less than 5 cents each.
should the group be private or open with questions for persons to join?
so the photo should be relevant to your niche? i found that a photo of a beautiful woman got cheap views but the conversions were not cheap.
Haha - yep that will happen with that sort of photo. You want them to be related to your niche.
Hello Ben. Great video that is the most informative with regards to FB ad campaign's. Makes the process nice and simple.
Glad to hear it Ben - thanks for letting me know :)
Ben if i already have an ads running, is it safe to do a page like? And my image should it be related to my page or what ever?
Sure you can run a page like campaign alongside other campaigns. You want your image to be related to whatever it is you offer.
Thanks so much.
Hi Ben. I've got about £250, (starting a print on demand business so finds are a bit tight), in budget to run ads, do you think that's enough to reach 10k likes?? I know that's a very broad question but just wanted your opinion. Cheers mate.
Hi James, that's not a lot to reach that many likes but it is possible. It will most likely come down to your ad creative. Good luck :)
Absolute masterpiece for the people who is looking run their business
Thanks a lot.
@@BenHeath 😀
What about getting followers and engagement with art stuff?
Hi Ben, what advice would you give for charging interior designers(for lead gen)? Just a month to month retainer like other businesses?
Hi Evan, yes I would charge a monthly retainer
great video, thank you Ben for actionable content, really appreciate your work
Thank you very much :)
Nice video. I appreciate all of the work you put into it.
My pleasure!
That campaign objective does not exist in right now? I can't see it on my ads manager
It does - it is just an option under engagement now. If you have the new ODAX campaign objective menu then you need to select engagement and then select your Facebook Page as the destination at the ad set level.
Hi, can you please tell me how do i change impression to pagelike in the 'when you get charged' section?
Can u plz tell me how to advert on fb groups with single click
Not possible I'm afraid.
Hi, we trialed this out but our majority of people who are liking our page are indian/pakistan/african we are not getting any from the USA, UK Canada, or any country's that speak english?
You can be more specific with the areas you target but likes will cost you A LOT more. It's really up to you which way you want to go.
Btw most of the Indian speaks English I mean the large population of Indian do.
@@alinax64 I know but they aren't based near us. And when selling things they cant buy because they 'don't have enough money' which is sad and they cant really help it, but not good for business.
Would this have an impact on my lookalike audiences if I create them from people that engage with my page?
Yes it will - anything that changes your source audience will then affect the lookalike.
@@BenHeath Great video--but (following on from this comment), how do you then not have this wreck your ability to build an audience? I followed your steps without thinking about this and now have 8000 likes...from people who literally cannot buy my product. Is there a way I can remove them from the retargeting audience? I noticed whilst promoting something on Instagram today that this essentially LEDC audience seem now to dominate it... Thank you.
Great video Ben. Thanks a million for sharing this.
My pleasure!
You can then focus your efforts on that category more than the others to begin with
@@BenHeath Thank you for feedback
@@giantfoodus no problem :)
Hi James, it varies a lot between industries but you are probably looking at £0.60-£1.00 each.
Great video! Thank you. How do you actually invite people who liked your page to the group? I don't see this option anywhere.
