I just came to say this really does work. I watched this last night and followed the steps. I woke up to 300 new followers and counting. Thank you for this great tip. I was skeptical at first because I haven't had much luck with ads in the past BUT this video has been a great help!

Hi Ben... Would you run a lead campaign to grow your page or group? I did smash that like button!
I also wanted to point out that it helps to exclude the expensive countries.
My business page seems only have 'followers' not likes. But when I look at other business pages I can see how may people 'like this page'. And when I go to create an ad the CTA is 'follow' not 'like. So now I'm confused, is the goal to get people to 'follow' my page or 'like' my page. Can't see an option for 'like' as the CTA??? Any clarification would be great, thanks.

I think it's absolutely fine to put the same content on there as you would with your Page. I like to use slightly different content so there is an added incentive to join both but that's really an optional extra.

Very informative video Ben, how much does it actually cost monthly to accumulate 1,000 followers a day? As I’ve seen this happening with other pages in my niche.
It took me just over two years to gain my followers but did not buy a single one 🙈

It really depends what niche you're in and where you are getting the followers from. You can get each as inexpensively as 1p each - or they could cost a lot more.

I noticed the Page Likes ads now have Like, Comment, and Share beneath them, which is ridiculous. Now, people are clicking the like links beneath the ad instead of the thumbs up page Like button.
I was kind of hoping there was a way to change this, but I guess that just doesn’t exist.

Thanks for sharing! Though, I tried this on my real estate page and happened two things... First, It doesn't appear the worldwide location Instead I tagged all regions. Second it keepd telling me something about category campaign. Do I have to target?

Very informative Ben. What about the ads when you want to target people speaking a specific language in a country? Seems Facebook ads does not have this option. This is the gap many multilingual businesses try to fill.

I have a clothing business and it's been 6 months since it started, our target market is India at this point in time.
On shopify we are now in top 1% in terms of traffic generation, spending around $ 300 daily at an ROI of 3 with 25% RTO's.
Currently we are pretty much breaking even in my opinion and I am in search for at least 10 times the volume that we are currently generating, so my question to you is, is there a time duration that has to lapse before we see the desired results or should we look to scale up to say $ 500 already?

Hey Ben. This was a great tutorial. However, we currently have 190+ish followers on FB so far and when we release a new post, it barely gets 10 impressions. Do you think that's normal? The follower/impression ratio is shockingly low for us.
I don't think that is unusual to be honest. The impression to follower ratio is always low on FB. That's usually why most businesses advertise.

That's inevitable for certain industries - including all B2B ones. As stated in the video, organic reach is not what I'm after with this audience. It has another objective. The engagement in my Facebook Group is fantastic and that's where I focus.
Hi, so you didn’t use any targeting ? Just exclude people that already follow your page and target worldwide . And hope Facebook Algo will figure out who to target ?

Question unrelated to the video.
I am doing Facebook retargeting to an audience of about 300 people.
No impressions after 24 hours. Had very small budget - $1 per day.
So I did the following:
Changed campaign to reach instead of conversion.
Set frequency cap at about 1 impression every 2 days.
Then put budget much higher in order to do better in bidding. Set budget to $40 per day. Obvisouly it won't use nearly close to that amount.
Could this work?
It could work but the issue you are running into here is an audience size one. Facebook is reluctant to deliver ads to really small audiences.

You can, but you will have to pay more to get the same results. So as he said in the video, if you have the money, you can make it as specific as possible, as long as you know you'll be paying more per like.

You are very welcome :) The conversion rate from that invite is not great. If you are getting started then it probably is, but once you've got a reasonable number of followers, I don't think it is time effective.

Good info.! My problem is when FB says that I've received more page follows I feel like I should reach out to those followers in some way. Frankly the entire page makes no sense to me. To my eyes it looks like an incomplete an incomprehensible, nonsensical mess. Any thoughts to help me gain a better understanding of FB Pages ?

Yes I would. You can target UK only. Or you could go worldwide and treat this as a credibility building exercise as opposed to something that will help you acquire customers.

The button to turn it off is toggle - if you click it again, it will turn back on.
The bad thing about Facebook they Change how everything works every month or so. And nothing is like it was before. I wish I could follow this video to see how to do this but unfortunately I can’t. I’ll need to keep digging

Hi Sabah, if that's the estimate I would ignore it - they are very often inaccurate. Go ahead and run your campaign and you'll quickly see what you produce.
Make sure you remove any custom audiences if you have those selected as well.

From what you've observed, would you say that the worldwide approach tends to attract people who engage with posts, or is that completely random as well?
I'm not sure there's a correlation either way there from what I have seen. But the people you attract aren't disengaged which is important.

You can do this for Instagram, although there isn't a specific objective. I have a video on my channel about it. If you search for 'How to get Instagram followers with ads' and my name, it should pop up :)

I have a question, if my potential customers are from the U.S., but I do this and get likes from different countries, wouldn´t that mess the algorithm up? Hi Samuel, provided you don't create your lookalike based on page likes then you are all good :)
I would recommend using other sources for the most part anyway.

Hey Ben, great content. Would you suggest doing this as a brand new page? I have no content on my page yet, and I'm afraid if I try this method right off the bat people are going to visit my page and see nothing, then leave.

Looks like "Page Likes" option is now gone...
It's still there - it's just under engagement and at the ad set level (if you have the new ODAX campaign objective menu)

Hi Ben, I have a quick question for you. My FB ads manager was banned 2 years ago for reasons I know not of. I only used it to boost posts now and then, so I didn't worry about it. Nonetheless, now I would like to run ads and cannot. My question is would I be able to set up an ads manager on my wife's FB account and run page-like campaigns to my FB business page?

This happened to one of my clients, he had to go through hell to get his account unblocked. I would make sure that your Facebook ad account has a confirmed address, because that was the reason that my client's account got struck down. If you didn't do anything wrong and fix the problems you had, request Facebook to give you your account back and it should work. It might take like a week or 2 though

Hi Sheron, you should be fine. Provided you are using Facebook's own ad platform to get those followers, Facebook isn't going to prevent you from doing that.
