If you’re new to my channel, my name is Ben Heath. I’m the founder and owner of heathmedia.co.... a marketing agency that offers done-for-you services, coaching and educational resources, all with the objective of delivering exceptional marketing results for our clients and customers.

How I got here…
17 yrs old: Started my first business selling wristbands with two school friends. I made $0.
18 yrs old: Started my first ecommerce business selling second hand video games. I made $0.
19 yrs old: Joined a network marketing company (would not recommend it). Was told I’d be rich if I signed up 8 people. I signed up 26 people in 3 months. I made $0.
21 yrs old: Dropped out of Bath University to start an app development company. I made less than $5,000 in 2 years!
23 yrs old: Started Heath Media, my marketing agency. I made $0 for the first 3 years.
26 yrs old: Went all in on building a personal brand within the marketing space. I passed $100k/year.
28 yrs old: My personal brand allowed me to attract the best talent in the world. Heath Media became an industry leading Meta ads agency, with an exceptional team and an excellent reputation. We crossed $1m/year.

Honestly such a useful video. I find videos like these where you are sort of optimising the campaign "live" are the best type of videos. Keeps me engaged and I'm gonna watch it 10+ times to retain every bit of info. Bloody legend!

Good question. That is a common issue. The solution is proof. You need to use client testimonials and examples of people that have gotten great results from your product or service

Link clicks are not just the clicks on the link in the Ad it also includes the clicks that lead to the connected page. At least thats how i would understand metas definition of this metric when you hover with the mouse over it in the ads manager it says the clicks that lead to target pages on and outside of meta which includes the page as well.
You can further specify and go with outbound link clicks but the difference between the two metrics is usually minimal.

Recently some of my AdSets lost the Audience Control Feature. I can only set it up as Advantage+. Therefore the location is placed under the Advantage +, this will take it as a suggestion or a hard boundary?

Hey Ben this video feels like a godsend. Thanks a lot for explaining everything in such depth. What time frame do you usually use when optimizing an ad/campaign? Some of my ads have fluctuating performnaces week on week which makes it difficult to take tough calls with them.

It really depends on the ad account and the conversion volume. The higher the conversion volume, the shorter the timeframe. Could be as little as a day, could be 30 days

Hi Ben. Wouldn’t frequency depend greatly on the time limit you are applying. Frequency of 10 over 1 month would mean they’ve only seen your ad once every 3 days which I though was ok lol

That really depends what your budget and what you are advertising. Could be multiple days, could be minutes

Hi Ben! I currently have a new facebook ad account and pixel for my new company. I am running 1 testing campaign with 5 ad sets inside and in each adset 5 images. Now I think my pixel still has to warm up because I am not getting any conversions or clicks yet. I am thinking to simultaneously run an engagement campaign to get more social proof on my Facebook pages by getting more likes, but I was wondering if that might effect the learning of my pixel. Because it is now learning more about my potential customers that might buy my product and maybe if I also do an engagement campaign that pixel will focus more on engagers and not buyers, will this effect the conversion campaign I am running now and maybe new ones in the future?
It could do honestly and I think you are right to be concerned about that. If in doubt just run the engagement campaign to your ideal target audience and then you shouldn't confuse things.
@@BenHeath So if I run the engagement campaign to my ideal audience (in my case pet owners) then it wouldn't confuse my pixel? I'm scared that Facebook will learn my pixel to go for Engagement and then afterwards all my conversions campaigns will not perform because Facebook learned the pixel to focus on Engagement rather than buyers.

did your ROA increase overtime?
If you were advertising for a SAAS product that had a 7 day free trial, would you optimize for registrations (happen on day 0) and then use external metrics to track the number of people who then subscribe or would you optimize for subscriptions which might occur after day 7 and outside the attribution window?
Good question, I would go with registrations if you can’t reliably track people signing up for subscriptions. Although if you can, that would be better
Ben , I have been running my ad for over a month and was getting sales ea day, and suddenly I am getting visits to my site but no sales. What could this be? Past 2 days no sales
Hello! So my mom has an ad account but it got banned for 4+ years because she didn't realize it was banned. There is an option to chat with facebook business support though but it doesn't allow my mom to contact them. Any thoughts on this?
Is there any way to RESET your fb pixel, or even just facebook ad data? Like if you think facebook is giving you the wrong target customers can you reset it for a relearn?
You can reset your Facebook ad account in Ads Manager. I don't think you can with a Pixel, although you can create a new one.
