I was lucky enough to be present when they performed this, I even sat right next to the solo trumpeteur when he performed the opening solo. It was beyond beautiful and I can tell you that at the end of the concert there was indeed standing ovations for a long time. I've been to five theme concerts with them and nothing else I've seen in my 54 years, music- wise, has come close to these concerts. They were magical! Thank you for your kind reactions, glad you enjoyed it 😊

Oh my! How many memories and the nostalgia I felt listening to this. Simply amazing, thank you for posting this reaction. My dad's favorite is Lara's Theme from Dr Zhivago and I play it when I drive him to his doctor appointments. I love the smile on his face every time...him being Lithuanian and my Grandparents immigrating to the United States in 1910 when they could sense the Russian revolution and got out but we still have family in Lithuania and Katowice, PL. I know that he will be hearing this today when I take him to another appointment at doctors today. PS Can you teach my Polish cousin to speak English as well as you two? 😂
Niech Bóg was błogosławi, a ja zrobię dla was pierogi... Otóż moja piękna dziewczyna z Katowic robi świetne pierogi.

Nino Rota was the composer of this masterpiece.

One of the reasons why it sounds so good is because the concert hall is actually a large sound studio, built especially for TV and radio recordings. It sounds good, no matter where you sit in the concert hall.

Now I’m going to show my bias here. The music was wonderfully played by all the other instruments but when the violins came in…….wow ❤️🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻

This Symphony Orchestra do everything from classical music, Danish folk music, Cartoons and Children tunes, to Sci-fi like Star Wars and Star Trek and all sorts of other film and also PC and original video game music, inviting Eímear Noone, best known for her award-winning work as both a conductor and composer of video game music, that includes 26 film and video game titles, like being the original conductor of Overwatch, Diablo III, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, and not least both a composer and the conductor of World of Warcraft and its expansions.

Thank you for the wonderful reaction, guys! They kind of throw you into the movie, don't they? I probably did it already in the comments of the other video, but I will again recommend you the DVD/BlueRay The Morricone Duel so you feel the greatness of the music these musicians and the composers bring you anytime you need it. Of course this shall not stop you from reacting to the DNSO!

The DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra is the Danish equivalent to the English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, so their mission is not to push or provide a special brand in "taste" of music, but all about providing top quality public service to make all who watch and listen, and not least children and younger people get a taste for this kind of symphony orchestra music, also for educational purpose and to "nurture" their development.

The greatness of a symphonic orchestra is incomparable! All this kind of orchestras actually, in any genre of music.
What you mentioned Dominica is one of the most demanding parts in music art, the orchestration of a composition, to take the original score and write the parts of each and every instrument. Few musicians are capable to do this. As for the maestro who directs the orchestra? They are reading in front of them the score with all the instruments involved! How about that...

The DNSA has made many more concerts with various themes from pop culture, Star Wars, Star Trek, Once upon a time in the west, James Bond, music from computer game (I think "Resident evil) and more. They will celebrate 100 years in 2025. That´s a band you can say wants to play.... Yeah, they change line up often....
