- On February 26th, one arm of the Gokhale Bridge was opened to the public after being demolished in 2022. The bridge, which cost 90 crores to build, is an important link between Andheri East and Andheri West. However, during the construction process, the BMC failed to properly align the Gokhale bridge with the Barfiwala flyover. This has left residents and local activists dissatisfied with the BMC. Stay at Andheri East and it was terrible traveling east to west and vise versa. Reaching Pune was much easier.
i travel Andheri East to lower parel in 30 mins and to andheri west in 1 hour. 😂
BMC Engineers are worst engineers ever. Look at mumbai roads & then they blame heavy rain for this perhaps they failed to improvize their own standards & procedures over the time despite being india's richest Municipal Corporation. This is a big concern, because now the railway station road is jammed every day due to barfiwala Flyover closure, now how much time they will take to resolve the issue will delay other people for getting to work
How much money did BMC swindle? Cannot blame railways? Before this project was initiated, all pros and cons, the area, the environmental surrounding, the quality of the ground structure should have been inspected and measured.

Hopefully the new south side girder be aligned properly to barfiwala to ease traffic. Then they should use this girder as 2 way traffic for juhu circle - highway, and this present girder for SV road junction - highway traffic. as a temporary solution.

Sahukaar model and nepotism in awarding tenders is the only reason entire Maharashtra has skewed only to a triangle of Mumbai- Pune- Thane. With different suggestions being put in place to rectify this a proposal put forward is to engage 'Italian Stunt Drivers' to train the people regularly use this bridge. Someone even suggested that BMC should send a delegation to study the working of the Panama Canal😮😂😅....
