- Nara Chandrababu Naidu, also known as Chandrababu Naidu or CBN, is a veteran Indian politician who currently holds the position of the leader of the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has been the president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) since 1995.
Chandrababu Naidu also served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004 and is acknowledged for his role in the development of Hyderabad and for successfully conceptualizing the city's IT hub, Cyberabad. The veteran south Indian politician has also served as the opposition leader in the Andhra assembly from 2004 to 2014.
In this episode of the ANI podcast with Smita Prakash, the senior Telegu leader tears into Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, blaming him for leaving the southern state bankrupt and without a capital city.
CBN also opened up about his party's alliance with the BJP, his take on reservation for Muslims, and freebie politics in Andhra Pradesh. He also reminiscences his time in the United Front alliance back in 1996, when senior leaders across the country urged him to step up as the Prime Minister.

For those who grew up in the 1990s, Chandrababu Naidu garu was the most high-profile Chief Minister and he was singularly responsible for turning Hyderabad into Cyberabad. He even got Formula 1 into United AP. He was given the title CEO of Andhra Pradesh; and was seen as being for AP what Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was for Dubai. Similar impatience; similar daring leaps. Maybe he overshot that’s why he lost the election despite his record. Clearly, the best ideas man in Indian politics.

In our teens, we used to hear about Chandra Babu Naidu's development model, which was later overshadowed by Gujarat's development model. CBN is the one who pioneered the IT revolution in India and deserves due respect for this.

He took the first steps towards development of IT in state by building Hitec city and bringing Microsoft to India (2nd development center besides Seattle during that time), convincing industrialists and educators to establish ISB, Bio tech and Pharma companies… So he took the initial risk and went forward and along the way other leaders taken it forward instead of destroying the beautiful city…. As a Tamil who worked his first IT job in Hyderabad, I’m immensely grateful for the vision of Chandrababu Naidu to create Cyberabad infrastructure. It changed the lives of so many people for the better.

I am Telugu and doesn't belong to his community. Without his vision and direction I had no hope and chance for me in life.
If not for the new engineering colleges/courses he encouraged in 1997+, I don't know what i will be doing today. It is all bullshit that he favoured his community. Most of the new engineering colleges then were owned by Reddy's and other communities and not his community. People who have this caste disease problem, can only think so cynically.
It is his multi dimensional vision (creating the Greenfield City eco system for Tech companies + creating the resource pool to cater to future needs parallelly) which has created the magic.

He is the father of the Modern Hyderabad. He made Hyderabad one of the greatest IT hubs of the World, he started the IIIT, NALSAR, ISB, Pharma hubs, Hitec City, the Financial district developed Infrastructure, roads bridges, flyovers, eradicated communal riots, eradicated factionism , conceptualised and started building the International Airport, conceptualised and laid the foundation of the Metro rail project,...and the list goes on. He is a visinoary, he does not do any work on ground, Only where he can loot land from poor farmeers as in Hyderabad. He is a big feudalist and wants his caste to be over everyone, by subjugating poor and downtrodden. He is the most corrupt, crooked politician in India now. He back stabbed his on father in law ( FIL). He backstabbed all the people including his FIL family. He grabbed Heritage from Mohan babu, Under his tenure heritage foods he used it to spin illegal black money and government money to favor his family where it's share grew from 45rs to 405 rs in 4 years under his tenure as CM, Any person with business sense will see it as a scam. His net assets in property were 2 acres of land, now he himself mentioned that he has 6 lakh cr of money in a meeting. His benamis hold and sold lots of land in hitech city where he took the fortunes of poor farmers, he still holds lots of land through benamis, hence the reason to oppose land title act where the benamis will be found to hold lots of land in Telangana and AP. He and his team grabbed through benamis grabbed huge portions of land in and round amaravati before declaring as capital. Always thought Mr. Naidu's achievements and contribution to the development and modernisation of his home State have not received the appreciation that it should have. He is highly intelligent, knowledgeable in both technology and business , was a very successful technocrat and transformed Andhra pradesh into a cyber hub - among the first few in India. He also made it a Biotech hub. I hope his talents are used by the BJP government at the centre for policy making and implementation on a national level in higher education, earnings generating Vocational education & Skill development, in development of technology & knowledge driven industries, so that our youth can be gainfully employed in taking our economy further. His experience will be very beneficial for the country. I hope he can do for U.P., M P., Bihar, Jharkhand, which have no dearth of talent, what he did for his home State. They are rearing to go. Maharashtra can surely benefit from his advice in respect of education policy, curriculum, Vocational education and training etc. and start ups. In the 2nd phase, Assam and the other NE states can seek his guidance for exploring possibilities & setting up businesses and industries in their states.

Many People call CBN opportunistic. But whatever he has done, was for betterment of our state. He might have aligned with different political parties but that's for the good of state. He has kept his personal feelings/agenda aside and took the side of parties which he thought would help the state grow. He has done extremely well even in 2014-2019 and in all the indices released by Central govt., AP used be there in top 3. He dedicated himself so much to bring glory to the state. Coming to roads in Andhra Pradesh, I used to travel to Rajahmundry from Kakinada in the span of 90 minutes back when Mr. Naidu used to be chief minister, these days it is taking more than 150-160 minutes. I am not able to find words in English for the condition of roads in Andhra Pradesh.....
Mr. Naidu might have back-stabbed his father-in-law in politics and he might be corrupt but he is the one who played key role in Hyderabad's growth story which is even accepted by KTR who is ex-IT minister of Telengana....
