I'm pretty sure the Ebony Blade is inspired by the Japanese Odachi. Basically just a bigger katana.

@@AuxRose You are right in game it looks like an Odachi because it's a larger sword. It's likely however that Mephala made the ebony blade after the Akaviri blade, which is a one-handed sword, that was based of the katana. I went through that order in the video.
I also choose to call it a katana because in the files it has all the stats of a one-handed sword(even it's reach, implying that it's not as long as portrayed), and is based of a katana.
But you are 100% right its an Odachi by every criteria, and it's probably the better way of explaining it in my next videos, thank you for your comment!

In.the case of the clavicud vile artifact, i think is a metaphore as a weapon double edged , the good and the bad results at the same time
