This was the first game i ever beat, so it holds nostalgic value for me.
But the spritework is excellent imo and the gameplay is solid
I wish Konami would release a compilation of their Tiny Toon Adventures games for modern consoles the way they did for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and are doing for Rocket Knight Adventures. There were ten Tiny Toons games; three on NES, three on Game Boy, two on SNES, and two on Genesis, and they were generally well-received. The Tiny Toons have been brought back for modern audiences as part of a reboot called Tiny Toons Looniversity, and Stephen Frost, the head of Digital Eclipse, has expressed interest in making a compilation of Konami's Tiny Toons games.
is konami joking.. 25$ for an nes and gb rom . both games are extemely easy and can be beaten an less than an hour
They could of make Nintendo put it on the online servers
"Felix the Cat? FEEL LICKS ON CRAP!"
I liked this one. The transformations were fun, the graphics were good, as was the platforming.
I just love LGR just buying these old IPs and having their physical editions a yearly timed exclusive
sarcasm btw
Picking this up because I haven't played either of those games. The NES one costs about $90 loose and I enjoy collecting GB/GBC titles that get ported to the Nintendo Switch. Now, if we could get the Disney Afternoon collection from Capcom WITH the Game Boy counterparts, that would be great. For now, I will certainly support the release of Game Boy games on the Nintendo Switch. I got that Bill & Ted, Radical Rex, The Humans, A Boy and his Blob.. those aren't "good" but they are Game Boy. I want to support the release of MORE old licensed games. Heck.
If someone were like: "Wisdom Tree Collection" and it was just the Game Boy releases like Joshua, Exodus, Spiritual Warfare, and the two pocket Bibles.. I would pre-order that. The games aren't.. amazing.. but you know.. I'd buy a port of Little Pocket DJ or Drymouth. I would love a Batman classics collection with the Game Boy and NES games... I think we all would.
It doesn't include the unreleased Famicom version, but rather they made a new Japanese version.
Don’t click нет… oh wait wrong Felix the Cat game.
Why is it 30 dollars for simply like... 2 or 3 30 year old games in Roms? If it was like 5 dollars maybe.
Thought it was a remake but i allready have these so no need to buy.
The reason this game gets hyped up by hardcore NES fans, despite being nothing special in the grand scheme of things, is because the overwhelming majority of license-based games on that console (beyond Capcom and Konami's output) were absolute dumpster fires, so that makes a game like this that's at least competently programmed and mildly enjoyable seem way better by comparison. It also helps that this game wasn't especially well-known until years later, so it had that "hidden gem" status going for it, as well as the novelty of it being one of the very few games in existence based on the Felix The Cat license.
All that being said, I might pick this up at some point, just because I can never have too many retro platformers in my life; but only after a heavy discount, since 25 bucks is definitely a steep asking price for this one.
It was already a not bad yet average game when it was released back in 1992.
Felix the HET
This is worth £5 at best
I can see how it would feel underwhelming for someone who hadnt had that cartridge as a child. I, however, am over the moon with this release.
what an embarrassing review. there's a reason this game was held in high regard.
What decade am I in?
They are asking like $30 for this...
I understand this is a rerelease of old games. But it’s sad to see Felix the Cat, Popeye the Sailor, and other classic cartoons be regulated to mediocre, in Popeyes case awful, games.
You're joking right? This game came out in the 90s
I mean for the time Felix nes game was good enough, it was reviwed well back in the day
I wish that Nintendo would cut a deal with King Features to release the Popeye arcade game on Switch.
