I hope you like the video!
Note, a mistake has been reported. 1:10 - when downloading the animation, the voice says to download at 60fps, this is not correct. What I was meant to say was as long as your format is fbx and the skin is without, you can set the FPS to whatever you want. I picked 30 but 60, 15 whatever you need will work :)

Thank you so much! That was very helpful for me and your tutorial helped me a lot in retargeting animations to my custom model

Hi, Great Video! Thank you very much for the help. I would have one question. At the end, when the old and new rig are doing the poses I noticed that my new target rig (Polygon AdventurePack) is always looking upwards in the Animations. I think it is becasue the head bone is slightly different. How do I fix that if I may ask?

Nevermind. It was the Spine I needed to map. Thanks again :)

Excellent video and demonstration! I do have a question, I've been having a heck of a time with the fingers on Synty models properly animating, they get all bent and twisted. I've made chain maps for each fingers, but they don't seem to curl and animate even close to my animations. What's your approach to the hands and fingers on the Synty models?
    Thanks again!!

Thats odd you are having such an issue.
Which asset pack are you using? Sadly over the years Synty has changed the bone layouts over the years

@@D3kryption I am using the Dungeons characters, along with a couple characters from the Kingdom asset pack. What I've found since posting this, is I just have to go into the animation, add a static mesh and just key frame the fingers to wrap around. Otherwise any retargeting I do, the fingers just stick out and don't curl or do much of anything. You got a discord I can join :) Love chatting with UE creators and supporting their works!
