@@esa9644 My comments were just a joke for other coyote hunters. Coyotes are very clever and tough to have consistent success on. Why I hunt them is for several reasons. I enjoy being out there and seeing nature, killing coyotes helps out the quail, pheasants, turkeys, squirrels and rabbits all of which I hunt also. The coyote population is high also. I enjoy the challenge of outsmarting them I guess, where to set up, what sounds to use and then watching them come in is a rush.
Do you live in the city? Trust me there are plenty of coyotes, I have several friends who lose calves basically right out of the womb in a enclosed lot next to his house. The coyotes are a pain and over populated so rest easy on the damaging the eco system. More die from diseases from being over populated than any hunting pressure. By the way, I pick up at least a bag of trash on each trip, humans are damaging the eco system every day! By the way to you lazy ass litterbugs, stop it jerks!
So because your dogs were domesticated by idiots that then makes it ok to kill other dogs? ignorance is rampant in hunters. If your dog was wild they would look for food too. why does that make coyotes bad?
Thanks Les! I am on my third season and still have a lot to learn...my son and I record every episode and watch together before heading out to make stands!
Brent, dont give up! I know how tough it is to keep trying. In some of my presentations I talk about how many stands I made before I ever called in a coyote. I figured that it was at least 40 over the course of a few years. But, as soon as you call one coyote in, you try to reflect on what happened and repeat what you remember. Thank you for watching and please tell your son that Les said hi! Coyotes are considered pests to all farmers and are fairly invasive. If you saw the true savagery of what a pack of coyotes is capable of not just killing cows, goats, sheep, etc. you would be doing your ecosystem a favor in killing a very dangerous animal. Side story: I was sitting in my tree stand waiting for a decent sized buck to come by and I saw a doe and its fawn lay in a clearing in the field in front of me it was 6 in the morning and it was a peaceful sight so I dozed off into about a half hour nap, I didn't wake up on my own volition. I don't think the point is that it's meaningless to kill the coyote. It's just that a 50% reduction in population in a small locality has to be seen as say a 10% reduction in a much larger area.
A coyote tried to kill my cat and chased it up onto our porch. I was in my kitchen and heard the scrambling noise and could see it through my kitchen window, so I went outside and snuck up on it. I was able to grab it by its waist but it snapped back and got a bite into my forearm, I was wearing a thick Carhart jacket so it only bruised it and I was expecting it to have a fast reflex like that so I didn't let go of my grip. Anyways, as I grabbed its waist I did so in a swooping motion and used that momentum to slam it against one of our rectangular wooden pillars, really solid, and I felt the snap or breaking of bones, with the second slam I was able to aim properly and hit its head against the pillar either killing it or knocking it out, then I took out to our orchard and bled it out to make sure it died and let it's pack know not to come around here, didn't hear from the coyotes for about a year. It was a really good feeling seeing as how since they have been back the last couple months my cat went missing last month. I have a .22 with a couple 25 round mags though. Maybe I will try and lure them in with some meat and a loudspeaker but I will look online for the best methods, doubt I will ever get lucky enough to catch one with my hands again, sadly.

Love your videos Les, keep whackin & stackin'.......predator control is needed! These tree huggin' liberals would cry if they saw what a coyote does to a fawn, calf, or a duck nest.
Coyotes are crucial for the environment for controlling other animal species. So the liberals are right. In fact, politics have nothing to do with whether you have morals or not. Keep destroying the earth, conservative.
All my coyote hunts are like this one, I kill 5-6 every set up! BUT then my alarm goes off and I have to get up.

Do you sell the pelts
Maybe keep your Cat in the house if there is a constant threat of it being killed?🤔
Good Video, wish my health would let me.

Stop encouraging genocide.
Awesome!
Thanks for watching and commenting R Moss! LJ
