- Atlanta rapper Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, faces multiple charges under Georgia's RICO Act. Williams, believed to be the leader of the YSL collective, supposedly operated a "criminal street gang" from outside his residence. Williams faces eight charges in a 65-count indictment. These charges include drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, and participating in criminal gang activity as an individual employed by a criminal street gang. Opening statements will take place on November 27.

somehow I love seeing cops feeling uncomfortable about answering questions that could reveal something they may have done wrong 😂
Whether YSL the gang exists or not it don't matter it's not illegal to be in a gang, what the state must prove here is that these guys did these petty crimes on behalf of the "gang" which is something they are failing to do. This case is definitely not a Rico they made a big deal out of nothing.
"Not yet". Idk if they will or not. Juries are asked not to make their decision until ALL the evidence is heard, and there are weeks left in this trial. The prosecution's behavior with witness scheduling is unprofessional.
This judge needs to be investigated at this point with the ridiculous amount of lives he has given the state

I think he is preserving the record. Pretty sure he knows the state has done themselves in and that even with a guilty verdict the defense are well suited for a proper appeal.

How is being found with 17 grams of weed and 19 dollars proof that you're furthering the interest of the gang? Where is the evidence to show they were selling em on behalf of the gang?
The prosecutors haven't provided any evidence of crimes that seem like it was in furtherance of a gang. Seems more like random guys who may or may not be in a gang committing random crimes for themselves.
Are all the females that are getting arrested with these guys in the gang too?
There is zero evidence. $19 is not enough to get gas let Lone support a criminal enterprise
Absolutely outrageous that the state only gave defense counsel 24 hours notice to not only give access to question upcoming witnesses, but also to prepare for any cross examination. Planning, scheduling, and preparation is not their strong suit evidently. The remedy by the court should be exclusion for the said witnesses at a minimum for at least until time in which may facilitate preparation by the defense team. State is circumventing the right to a fair trial and due process for each defendant by not allowing their hired attorneys do their jobs properly. Guaranteed they’d be grieving to the court if the tables were turned and defense was doing this to them. This is just generating more substantive material for an appeal if these defendants are found guilty when everything is said and done.

I know that the attorneys for both sides are zealously working on behalf of their client. But all these interruptions in an already complicated case is going to ruin someone's day. Both sides are guilty of it

I object to any criminal records of the defendant's. That should be the consideration of the an investigator doing an investigation and not for the court hands. That's for recommendations by the prosecution. That would be basis because every incident is a different scenario that carries its own penalties

I did not hear the officer told them their rights when after a crime was detected and questioned "immediately". The right to remain silent.
I object to their evidence of the defendant being in a gang. That's not a criminal offence or any reason to raise suspicion to initiate a road stop without a warrant. For example a gang definition number 2 on Google refers to arrangement of persons. For example a political party.
Don't forget the cops (not all of them)! Violent gang members.

For cops to lie to anyone in an attempt to further an investigation is perfectly fine per the United States Supreme Court. So if it's legal and considered a best practice by most cops then it's legit I'd say grudgingly.

I object to officer Charles testimony about using social media. Social media has received no contract from the state or fundings for a breach of persons privacy to be violated by this private organisation the olive service. I object to officer Charles testimony. The persons who purchases the drugs up to today has not classified the drugs as illegal drugs but as medicine. These are the users. If the officer is not a user and the lab technician then they cannot say why it is illegal.
