I guess this guy never heard something about biosecurity its a federal law. And if you have a sign up that says "respect biosecurity" not even the police can enter without informing themselves what the biosecurity measures are and at least spray their shoes. One investigator got sued and charged because he entered a farm without following those measures.

Are you not American and are the people not on your property? So I'm just trying to understand where the privacy comes into play? Your not in a state where the other party has to give permission, this isn't CCP show them people face.
I'm ANita: It's good seeing the both of you. I understand Patrick had to leave the farm. In saying that; "I'm still sad! Patrick is a Beautiful Bull and he will be so handsome when he is grown. I luv "Frank the Tank" and I know he's going to Freezer Camp and that is a heartbreak for me waiting to happen. I will be so glad for Y'all when you have the O.K. to tear that cabin down. I know you will still have pain from the fire, but it won't be as haunting for Y'all. It will help the healing process to not see it every time you go to take care of the animals. I've been around cattle, most people don't realize how strong a cows neck mussels are.
If you walk up on a cow and he turns his head to see what's coming up to him, just him
turning to look you could be seriously injured. Keep in mind long horns, with their horns
can end your life just by turning his head.
My uncle was walking past a cow once, and when the cow looked back to a noise it thru
him ten feet and he was very badly brushed.
I notice how cautious you are around them, and that is great.

There are "pet' Longhorns bred, raised and shown by a family north of our little town in PA.
The first thing they did when they finished the new fencing and barn and just before they moved the little herd in, they called a meeting and invited all of the neighbors, local cops, fire department, FFA, etc. and the newspaper to attend an FYI seminar to announce their presence. They gave a short, pointedly blunt lecture on their experiences with people and the mannerisms of Longhorns. AND of course the usual parade of suspects tempted fate, causing those poor folks more gray hair generating moments.
Thank God the 6 cow herd matron was a sensible old girl and kept things civil . . . but scarrrrry!
Happy belated birthday Rae! I’ll miss not seeing Patrick on the farm. I’m not a farm girl, but wondering will Tipsy be looking for Patrick? This may be a dumb question, but Tipsy was a great mama.

Guard donkeys is what it is. We had guard donkeys on our ranch. Donkeys are very territorial, if you don’t belong they will let you know most of the time.
They keep coyotes away.

I love that you have so many different personalities within your animal family. What a hoot that the trespasser was corralled by your critters😂 Lily is a hoot and I think Tipsy is so beautiful. I had never seen a large roll of hay just rolled out like that. Simple things in life that keep it interesting. As you and your family are recovering from the fire trauma and loss of home it is so good to see you looking forward. The PTSD from this type of experience is real. Having the support of your family and the YT community during this time has been a God send for you. Having the insurance company be so cooperative is a miracle. I'm a veteran and have been with USA for almost 30 years and although they have your back they are very extremely thorough. I left them for awhile back in early 90's. Loss my home from lightening and was with State Farm and was literally ripped off. Learned my lesson went back where I belonged with USAA and lost my double wide from Katrina and NO PROBLEMS. I had a tenant destroy his side of my duplex and I was covered by Farmers. They said they weren't going to cover it and I went sideways yelling at em. I told them to go ahead and close the case and I'd go ahead and file suit against them. I forwarded that email to the guys boss who then gave me a call with "whoa whoa whoa..." How about we restart this whole thing with a new agent.. So I agreed and they paid as little as they could get away with.
I had another unit get flooded that was covered by USAA.. They sent an agent and cut a check for more then the cost to get everything fixed. They cost more but I'm not going to anyone else. When you have a loss and your already upset, the last thing you need is for an insurance agent to try to rip you off.
State farm is the worst.

Dang that hay is moldy; you can see it flying in the air. That's the problem with round bales. Dealing with horned cattle is wild. Been there done that. But mine were super tame.

I agree Rae, I think I would have said something too. #1-safety of my animals getting out, #2-entering property that is signed with NO trespassing, #3--not waiting until the others had arrived, #4-his own safety because of the critters. Congratulations for selling Patrick.

Honestly, I'm amazed that there is ANY structure left considering how far out the fire dept was from your place. Just glad everyone was safe!
When you guys rebuild, build the house out of concrete, with polyisocyanurate insulation on the interior and exterior walls. The poly insulation just smolders in a fire, and snuffs itself out. The concrete walls increase the thermal mass of the structure, which means, if it’s 95 degrees outside, the interior of the house will be about 20 degrees cooler. Your heating and cooling costs will be much lower, by at least a couple of hundred dollars per year. I learned this construction method from my old boss. He used 3” of insulation on the interior and exterior walls with an 8” concrete core, and dual pane insulated windows. Just a thought.
HERES A KICKER IF THE TRESPASSER GETS HURT DURING HIS Illegalentry into your property you will be HELD liable and THE LAW suit you YOU WILL HAVE ENDURE IT FOR HIS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.

Hello from rainy Cape cod Massachusetts
We had our House burn thanks to a faulty Extension cord to our pool! The Investigators were awesome, We had no trouble with them! They Maxed us over the limit with our loss! Means we should have had more Insurance! We rebuilt better and Bigger, and Are Happy Here! Even though we miss our old Farm House and The Memories!
Anyone that names their livestock, you know they are taken care of very well.

Don’t know ya, And not at all trying to insert myself into your situation. Don’t even know where you live or what you do for a living.
Over here in the Great State of Mississippi, once the fire is extinguished the fire Captain rules on clear cut problems. He’ll contact an arson investigator through the County system if necessary. They typically meet with the insurance inspector or whomever really needs to be there and sheds the other nosy people away.
I surely wish your system would go at a faster pace for your family.
Really none of my business, wifey Pennie, says she recognizes your wife from Commercials related to adult sports. Has your wife worked as a model for Sportsman’s Warehouse or Cabellas or perhaps local specialty ? My wife tinkers around with compound bows. And all of the associated products. She believes that she has seen your wife in print work for one of the bigger companies.
Pennie said she remembers your wife because of some new ladies fishing Camo purple, violet, orange and Chartreuse.

Umm, dude... You're talking about protecting the privacy of government (public) officials while, at the same time, they are violating yours.
When they sign up for their government job, they have to sign a waiver of their privacy rights. They CAN NOT have any expectation of privacy while doing their jobs. In fact, it's a matter is of public interest, which means people have a right to know exactly what they're doing in the course of their duties.
I realise you probably don't want to start or recieve trouble, but keep this in mind.
First, I don't see where anyone else's "privacy" is your concern on YOUR private property! Second, Trespassing is trespassing no matter who they are. Sorry you guys are going through all that on top of everything else.

We use cubes in a bucket to help move animals, since most have cube fed.
Had a cat for 18 years any time my late wife or I would break out the wet food would do what we called The Happy Kitty Dance.
Never thought I'd see cows doing the THKD.
Put together a PMA for your farm and then put it into a trust. Then out front put the following sign up.
This is a private membership association and unless you are a member, or have been invited by the officers of the PMA, you are trespassing and subject to other criminal charges!
They will think twice before entering!
