Chad, I ran cattle for many many years! (30+-) I believe your commentary is spot on about weaning calves off of there mommas! I tried the theory of separation of cows and calves by several miles and the correct almanac sign. You might guess what I found in with the calves? Yeah!! The cows crossed five farms and a river to get to their babies! Yeah!! Not only was I dumbfounded but also embarrassed! Granddad would say, why change it if it works for you?! That was the first and last time I would ever do it again! I had always kept them within sight of each other or side by side when weaning them and a good fence. Lesson learned! Friendly advice I’ll pass to you from Grandad. If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it! Paul said this to his brethren in Philippi, I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me! God bless! You and Rae give me so much joy and spiritual strength!
The reason I watch your channels is because of your faith. Never understood how someone could think they can tell someone else how to live their life, I can barely run mine. Blessings brother!
I’m thinking it’s because it’s easier to tell someone else how to live their lives , rather than fix their own. 😢 I just pray hard for them to find their way. 🙏
Frank is persistent for sure. Adler is so adorable and funny. “Feed Franklin cause he’s the whiniest one.” That wooden fence is the bomb. You and Rae are definitely making beautiful changes on The farm. Blessings ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Chad, love your preaching & your farming methods. All the critters look great. May heavenly Father continue to bless you and your family. 🥰💜🙏
Adler is an absolutely genuine soul. He is going to be a spitting image of his dad.. Everyone should know by now Chad that you research everything before you do anything! You would never intentionally do anything to jeopardize your animals or your family. God bless, keep up the great work.. Love watching.
Hi Chad and Adler. Adler cracks me up! "Rae should do it" Thanks for preaching, I love it! Everything looks awesome, good job. The fence looks good. God bless you and all of the Doss families. Love you all.
The problem with some people’s comments is that they live in a world of feelings! I get so tired of having to tip toe around offending a person’s feelings. Good for you for speaking up. God bless. You and your family.❤❤❤
People shock me more and more everyday with how bold they are with their comments, they act like the people they are watching on UA-cam or elsewhere on the internet where the person shares their life aren’t a human being anymore. Like all of their manners and decency got thrown out the window. Come people be better and look up Luke 6:37 you will be better for it ❤. Thanks for continuing to share Chad. I appreciate you and Rae so much!
It’s so awesome to see the cows. Come up to the fence and give them snacks to the fence. Good job, Chad! It won’t be no time before Adler is wanting to feed the cows through the fence he’ll get braver. Franklin is so freaking funny, him standing there hollering and frothing at the mouth…he’s almost 2 years old, when the babies are over there not saying one word. Talk about a momma’sboy😅😅😅. Can’t wait to see the grass come in, that will be beautiful!
I wasn’t going to comment until I heard you say someone actually said to you, “how would you feel if someone took Adler”……… WHAT ON GODS GREEN EARTH🤪. Anyway, Chad you did an excellent job. To whoever said that terribly inappropriate comment, we’ve been Ranchers for generations (Black Angus) and my daddy always separated the calves from their mammas as soon as they were eating more grass or hay, whichever than they were nursing and of course there’s a reasonable amount of time and sometimes it just depends on the mamma’s or baby’s health, anyway to sum my rant up…. Please please don’t judge someone’s way of doing something especially if youv never lived their experience and trust that no matter what Chad and Rae are and will always take care of whatever needs to be done. GOD BLESS YALL😇🙏🏻🙏🏻
Whoever made that comment doesn't understand that cows mature much faster than humans 🙄. A cow/bull is able to have their own babies by the time they are a year old. It is nowhere near the same as taking a young child from their parents. Some people are just too ignorant.
Chad I like the fence very much. It adds to the property. I just want to make a suggestion. After I get the fence up I go back and screw a 1x4 on each posts on top of the rails. Sometimes that treated wood draws up and tries to come loose, so the 1x4 will hold it in place better. Love all the babies. I miss my animals. Lost my 41 yr old horse 2 yrs ago and my 2 German Shepherd in April.. Love your farm and family. Adler is a little you.😊 ❤️🫶❤️ Eastern NC 🇺🇸
I love the wood fence too. Looks awesome, but when I saw it for the first time I thought the same thing, a 1x4 on the outside of the post where the rails meet. It helps prevent curling and splitting on the ends, especially where the screws are. We didn’t have cows, but I worked on a horse farm (and went a trade school for horses) and I helped build paddock fences and the boss taught us that it made the fence stronger and more resilient to splitting. We also treated the rail ends before screwing them on the post by dipping them in a bucket of creosote.
That darling little boy is going to grow into a really wonderful man with your guidance,, all 3 of your boys will ...huge hugs to you and Rae ..may God keep blessing you all
It amazes me how truly humble you and Rae are about everything. This is why I enjoy watching your content. You definitely are your Father’s son. Your Dad is such a great man and I love watching how your Mother responds and communicates with him. Sometimes it is hilarious. Reminds me of my parents both no longer here. Adler is getting so big. It’s great to see how he responds to all the animals ❤ God bless until next time 😊
Absolutely love listening to Adler and watching him think through things. The fence is beautiful. You and Rae have done a fabulous job with your farm. The wearing went really well and they all look so good. Keep being you! Peace and blessings. ❤🌻🌞
I can't believe how big Adler has gotten. WOW, someone took it way out there. It's weaning an animal. Love Doss family. Reminds me of a song by Gordon Mote, If you've got time to worry then you've got time to pray
Adler was so funny! And amen on what you said about Jesus and the verse. We are not to worry. God takes care of us. And yes, we are to pray about everything. That's one thing I myself need to remember.
So glad to see Adler filming good job😊😊. Franklin is a big baby wiener. Adler is A good helper, he'll be A farmer before you no it. So glad you don't force the children to be on the video's. Adler may want to be homeschooled when older, so he can be out with the animals more. God bless Doss family😊❤.
God bless you too Chad, and all of your amazing Doss clan. Keep preaching brother. I love it when you preach. There have been many times, the Good Lord has blessed, and encouraged, me, in my walk with Him, by things that you have said. Much love always, and heartfelt prayers, from over here, in Tennessee. 🙏❤🙏
I agree with Adler, all of them are cute..always love seeing him with you .. the property is looking really good and the new wooden fence is really nice 😊hope you get some rain soon .
Lovely to see Adler and him venturing to feed Maximus by hand, bless him. Happy that the baby has stopped balling for his Mum. Your explanation sounds very convincing and has a theory behind it. You have patience with calling the calves and donkeys to know where the hay bale was. Good job done. Look forward to seeing the next video 🙋🏡👍
My goodness Chad,😊I never heard all the animals so unhappy since I started to follow you and your family. Even the donkey is loud😅change is not easy for most of us. And they all just change pastures, and the little ones separated from moms so many reasons to be unhappy. Hope everything goes back to normal very soon.
Adler growing so so much love listening to Adler talk and haters need to stop it they forget Chad you know what you know and what you don’t know you asked other farmers that have many years experience the haters are jealous your doing the very best you can do and they can’t stay blessed and sending love to the whole Doss family from Queensland Australia
Chad thank you for sharing information with us. I have learned so much about longhorns that I never knew by watching your channel. Blessings. BTW Good job Carter.
I love these warm parent and child moments you show us. Adler is nobody’s fool but still has the innocence and straightforward ways of a child. Lovely. ❤️
Hi, I been watching your channel for about a month. I know nothing about raising farm animals but enjoy watching what you do. I have 4 acres in GA am I am thinking about doing something. We will see. God Bless.
Welcome to the channel! I have been watching for about 5 years. He is very knowledgeable and what he doesn't know, he asks people that he knows have the knowledge he needs. You are in for a treat watching the videos.
Walk the walk, and Live your talk! AMEN!! Philippians 4:6 "Worry about nothing, Pray about everything." BEAUTIFUL SUMMARY!!!! Cindy Ings Newfoundland, Canada
Good sermon :). A lot of people don't talk like me. They're like What??? I see things from a persective and life that few have experienced. Yet - what, or who, is my rock? my guide? Jesus. I measure my words by his guidance. Oh yes I have worried, been angry, depressed, lonely and afraid. But if I step away for a moment... take time to listen for Him... I come away with a renewed spirit. I mean he doesn't turn into a physical person of course! But yeah - a spiritual sense that rarely commands, sometimes reminds me, often surprises me with a-ha moments. Thanks for sharing this video. Wise of you to consult even wiser, more experienced farmers. You're doing well, man! 😊
It's your farm you do what's right for your animals and family❤ some people don't know how to just enjoy life without criticizing others and we all need to pray 🙏 for those people 😢 it's a sad day when people don't have the decency just to love ❤
My uncles farm was different in Wisconsin vs Minnesota. River valley vs bluffs. Every farm is unique and special. Enjoy what you have and do your best. ❤❤
Great video and sermon Chad...your a good man through and through....love seeing the animals and Adler...the wee farmer lol...stay safe and see you soon
Calves are looking good. My hubbie and i knew that even tho they cried for mom cow that they would get over it and grow fine. Anxuety and wirry are brot on us from the devil and your verses you used will help those that worry. Praying hard here in Wisconsin for our country. And the world but not worrying. Ive picked up helping at local food pantries with extra food. Lotta people are hurting right now. God bless everyone that listened and accepted your preaching today.
It’s really cool to see the longhorns down in the meadow where the green grass grows 😁! Adler is smart to stay away from spiders 🫣! He’s also respecting the size (very large) and strength of the Longhorns 😊! Thanks for sharing the Scriptures Chad ! I needed the reminder ‘God’s got this! “ Stay safe 🙏🏻🤗💕!
Hey Chad! I totally agree... worry about nothing, pray about everything 🙏🏻! God bless you and your beautiful family and awesome animals 🙏🏻-Tina in Kentucky
Missed the live but ok to comment after too. Let's me add points i may have missed being too quick to comment :) Adler is right, Lil Dude IS a VERY adorable lil guy. It's cool that Carter doesn't want to be on camera but we sure hope he overcomes that shyness with some encouragement ;) We don't get to see EVERYTHING in your day (thank goodness, right? LOL) but I hope he at least gets to spend some time helping with the farm animals (if he is into it of course). Rae was(is) a lil shy sometimes too but these ladies in the groups have done a fine job encouraging her confidence. Y'all are a blessing in my day to "unwind" to. God has blessed you SO much, through so many "trials" in your lives the last couple years I've been watching you. You obviously have His favor. Numbers 6: 24-26
Congratulations Chad for weaning the oldest calves so quickly! Pay no attention to the negativity on the internet. You know your herd better than anyone else. You do whatever works for your farm. I like the Kentucky Four board fence! I wasn’t online Thursday evening as lost internet and power due to the hurricane. Clean up is underway and we made it out okay. Been wondering if you want us to do a few rain dances to get you guys some rain to nourish the grass that was planted. Let us know.
This is a SPIRITUAL awakening! We have so much to learn about ourselves & everything that God has GIFTED us with. So glad the calves have stopped crying for their mamas. I knew they would be fine. Adler is right he sure would be talking for Frank. lol, feed me now!
Wow, Chad! I'm glad you didn't listen to us and you did it the way you did. It even makes sense. I still need my mama to be there for me at times. I enjoy watching your videos and I do learn new things. God blues you and Ray!
That person that said something about Adler is probably a city girl or guy that just plain doesn't understand the farm lifestyle. And just dus not understand that u are supposed to wean ur calf's. Thay are probably comparing human baby normal raising one up. Adler is so cute sweet. U are doing a great job raising Adler.
Chad,
I ran cattle for many many years! (30+-)
I believe your commentary is spot on about weaning calves off of there mommas!

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
Adler sure is growing.
I agree 💯% GrandDad 🙂👍
I believe that when we love our animals we give them a tiny piece of our soul and are bonded forever.❤😊
Maximus is so gentle. What a great bull. I love that you can hand feed your heard. ❤
Worry about nothing..Pray about EVERYTHING… God Bless the Doss farms!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Adler really is a fantastic cameraman. He was following that donkey with no problem. And his commentary is adorable.
The reason I watch your channels is because of your faith. Never understood how someone could think they can tell someone else how to live their life, I can barely run mine. Blessings brother!

You and Rae are definitely making beautiful changes on The farm. Blessings ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, indeed.
They are developing that land into a working farm.
Before, it was undeveloped woodland forest.
Thank you Chad, love your preaching & your farming methods. All the critters look great. May heavenly Father continue to bless you and your family. 🥰💜🙏

God bless, keep up the great work.. Love watching.
Adler is so quick thinking, love his comment on cows that are mean, drop alot of meat that we can eat.
I 100% agree with Adler! " I do not feel safe with that spider!". Boy is he growing fast!
Hi Chad and Adler. Adler cracks me up! "Rae should do it" Thanks for preaching, I love it! Everything looks awesome, good job. The fence looks good. God bless you and all of the Doss families. Love you all.

I haven’t heard your cattle make so much noise since I started watching your channel. Adler smarter beyond his years. Hello to all of you.
That’s because this is the first time weaning!
It’s so awesome to see the cows. Come up to the fence and give them snacks to the fence. Good job, Chad! Boy is Adler getting big!
Desecrated our calves right aways m we could continue milking the mother cow we sold the cream. And fed the milk to the pigs and calves.
Whoever made that comment doesn't understand that cows mature much faster than humans 🙄. A cow/bull is able to have their own babies by the time they are a year old. It is nowhere near the same as taking a young child from their parents. Some people are just too ignorant.

So much fun!!! Adler really enjoys his ride through the pasture. It is like a safari trip!!! Love it!

I just love Adler!! You just never know what is going to come out of his mouth!! He is and always has been hilarious and brings a smile to my face!!

That is how Dusty at Cross Timbers weans his bison cows and calves. It works fine for him and his bison.
The calves are enjoying not getting run off the hay by the big cattle.
God bless you too Chad, and all of your amazing Doss clan. Keep preaching brother. I love it when you preach. Lovely to see Adler and him venturing to feed Maximus by hand, bless him. Happy that the baby has stopped balling for his Mum. Your explanation sounds very convincing and has a theory behind it. You guys are the best! God bless your whole family ❤
Franklin is leading a revolt hahaha hahaha 🤣
Gotta love that boy Adler! Oh my goodness Franklin's mooooing! They are still going at it wow!
