The new fence that you're putting up is absolutely gorgeous! I'm hoping some day we'll get our property fenced. First have to find a livestock guardian donkey that's as good as yours! We have a huge coyote problem! Right now trying to find someone to come help take care of them. I can't get goat's or any other animals until they're taken care of. Thank You for sharing! Love the Kentucky Four board fence. We are known for this style on our horse farms. You and Rae did an amazing job! smack smack, yep that is good!!! Love the name, Lil Dude. That was cute of Dude! lol Oscar is so funny.
Your herd are so happy with all the different grass !! One thing about the staining or painting of your Kentucky four board fence, my mom and I had that when we were living on 5 acres in another state. The folks that installed the fence, we were told to wait a minimum of about 6 months for the wood to age prior to painting or staining it. We waited and then had it painted. It looked great afterwards. The guys that installed it have been doing Kentucky 4 board fences all their adult lives so more than 40 years of experience. We had in horse country in GA.

This is hard work for sure! Looks so very good. Chad there is One more step to your Kentucky Board Fence ... On each post where the boards meet you cover that joint with a board level with the top rail going down to the bottom rail. This finishes it off and protects the end joints. Typically we paint white or black, but your will look great brown (as you mentioned earlier) with black posts? Love the fence and it really dresses up this pasture. All the best to you.
