- Marines with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, participate in the air assault course during Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 2-20 on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 4. ITX is the most comprehensive exercise conducted at MCAGCC and focuses on the tactical application of combined-arms maneuver and offensive and defensive operations during combat.

@Chair Force
Do you know more???
Weeks, topics.
@@necromanteerrante8095 So the Army actually has what's called Air Assault School, which is known as "the toughest 10 days in the Army". The only fully Air Assault dedicated unit the Army has would be the 101st, which, confusingly enough, still has Airborne in it's name and logo, AND, they are air mobile vice air assault lol. The school is known for having an uncompromising gear inspection, an obstacle course with one of the famous obstacles being "the tough one", a 12 mile road march, heavy PT on the first 2-3 days, and screaming "AIR ASSAULT" every other second. At the end of the 10 day course, a Soldier is basically certified to rappel, fast rope, and inspect/ hook up sling loads to Army Rotary Wing assets (primarily Black Hawks). Air Assault gets less respect than Army Airborne, and Soldiers that are both Airborne and Air Assault qualified typically always wear Airborne Wings over their Air Assault wings as a sign of respect/ deferment/ teasing. You get a badge at the completion of this course.
The Marine Corps does not have a school for these technique, but rather a course, called Helicopter Rope Suspension Master's Course, or HRST Master's Course. I don't think it teaches sling loads, but it teaches Special Purpose Insertion and Extraction Techniques (SPIES), Fast Roping, and Rappelling. The entire Marine Corps is Airmobile, but typically when infantry goes on MEU's, the designated Helo company will go through HRST Master's Course. Other times, you just do air assaults, which doesn't have to be a course, but rather, some quick on the spot training and an action. There is no badge for this course, and less Marines have gone to this course than Soldiers because this course is typically only used when necessary. In the Army, you can be in a job that never does air assaults, and you can attend the school.
I think that's about it. Hope this helps.

Helps more that a lot, bro.
Thanks.
Chair Force yea sit in that chair and think about all the gets on the keyboard that you get to press
@@cm-pr2ys Brother you are 100% right and thank you for the info, I'm in 101st and I have my Air Assault wings. In my experience, that school is all about "attention to details". 30 to 40% of people get dropped during day 0(2 miles run + obstacle course) and day 1(inspection) , and another 10 to 20%, during phase 2, which is Slingload Operation. For people wondering, it's not just about going down rope, it's mainly about transporting stuff (cargo, humvee) through air.
Air assault, also an Army tactic your welcome Marines.
Did the Army have air assault in Korea
Knight who says Ni yea, more focused on fast ropes and repelling
Please do one on fleet marine

So Marines have a different Air Assault course than than the Army one??
Woodly Bonhomme I think marines is harder to get into that the army
Can you please re-read my question and reinstate your answer?? I'm not asking about joining, I'm talking about if there's a difference between their Air Assault School.

A little advice. Study hard in school so you can score high on the entrance exam, not sure what there called today maybe ASVAB. Be wise in selecting your MOS. Talk to a parent, family member and a Marine or a Marine who has served. Make sure your in shape, Run...Run...Run do pullups, belly crunches. Since you have 4 to 5 yrs you have time to become a leader. The Marine Corps is looking for leaders and it starts in boot camp, becoming a Squad Leader. I was the 2nd squad leader (Platoon 395, India Company 3rd Bn, Parris Island) for the last 9 weeks of boot camp. So I was meritoriously promoted to Pfc/E2. A little more advice, when you are finally assigned to the Fleet, you will be called "Boot" for at least a year. Nothing wrong with that all Marines go through it. Again good luck, make your family and friends proud of you. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant.
My Gentle Pitt Bull thank you and I will get that done. Thank you for your service.
@@punisher8319 your welcome. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's true, "Once a Marine always a Marine"
My Gentle Pitt Bull wow, I can’t believe you would do it again. Wow and yes “Once a Marine always a Marine.” Semper Fidelis.
From the sounds of it you’re still in middle school or about to enter high school like the other guy said do research and get in the habit of working out and eating right also join a sport to be in shape so it won’t seem like a chore ( wrestling and track are my recommendations but almost every sport is good) don’t be a dumbass like me and second guess and wait I’m 40 pounds over( currently working to get the weight off so I can enlist ) and 19 years old going to community college wasting time
rah lava dogs
Lava logs!
Semper Fi all the way but maybe you shouldnt be showing strategies
