Had to pause the video after the intro to say - I cant believe you have this!!! Thank you for the awesome content as always; never ceases to amaze what you get in the shop
This is my favorite HM so far. It doesn't only have the double balances/differential mechanism, also concretizes that to a dynamic shape(plane or sports car), which really has convinced me.
I saw the ad for the HM9 sapphire watch; it actually looks almost made entirely of sapphire -very little metal- . The price is well into the mid 400 k dollars. What would be the price for the piece you are showing us in this video? I am in awe...
The problem I have with this watch (and MB&F in general) is sheer size. Way, way too bulky. This particular one needed to be 20, 25% more compact at the very least, have some modicum of regard for human anatomy. I mean, it's a clock with these dimensions, you put it on your night stand, it looks like that's where it belongs. You put it on the wrist, god forbid you bump into somebody, you gonna fracture somebody's skull by mistake. Hell, you wear this driving, get into an accident, you risk impaling yourself with your own wrist watch! XD I mean, look at that... "crown", it looks like it's the drag knob on a fishing reel, and not much smaller either! ... Consider Vianney Halter"s Antiqua, now that's how you do non standard design, you keep it wearable as a minimum requirement, only after that's met you take it to where you wanna take it. And isn't... compactness, for lack of a better word, the cool thing about these uncommon watches anyways? Knowing that somebody tackled head first the almost insurmountable difficulty of producing limited numbers of high quality miniature components? What's left to admire if this is sidestepped? It think this is the crux of MB&F design, in order to keep prices relatively low they just produce these hulking .. wrist... clocks. To me it's the worst compromise a watch maker can make. I'd rather have these watches be insanely exclusive and stupidly costly instead, go an order of magnitude beyond their current pricing, sure, why not, take some serious risk, reduce your customer base, but deliver on the basics. MUST be wearable, on the WRIST! But with these hulks I think tolerances for machining and design in general are higher and so they can produce them with more ease, without exploding development and production costs. I dunno. It's a bad compromise though; on one hand, sure, MB&F definitely stands apart and some of their designs are novel and interesting to look at (especially when there's no wrist around for scale!), but they sure make the most disproportionately humongous, intrinsically inelegant, unwearable watches. Anyways, thanks for your uploads, please don't take any of this this personally. I just had to blow off some steam. Your channel is cool and most watches you showcase are great. If only more channels promoted independent watchmaking so consistently like you do, how great would that be. All the best!

For checking the time the angle of the dial is on point, never liked these watches but that feature is amazing.
Cool 😎!! Looks like something a guy in Area 51 would wear!

Respectfully, I think you are missing the point. The size has nothing to do with cost. The entire point is to play with 3 dimensions
Wait whaaaat?
Anyone is interested to take this watch ?
Can't you sue ticktock for millions because their name looks too much like yours?
