A lot of people talking crap in the comments. This kid is an absolute beast. Proof that you can never judge a book by it's cover. His hand and wrist control is superior. This is where 90% of Armwrestling takes place. If you can't get past someone's hand and wrist control, then your only options really are to attempt a press with your shoulder and tricep or drop below the table in an attempt to tire your opponent. People who say it's ALL TECHNIQUE are forgetting that you have to have STRENTH and SPEED to execute technique.
Absolutely... It's all about his strong forearm to keep control of his wrist, and also keeping his chest close to the party and using his entire body to create force. Great example of perfect technique combined with strength.
@@apolloposidon9126 , I agree with him. this isn’t old school arm wrestling. We didn’t used to hold tables (free hand behind your back) and you couldn’t hang of the dude. You literally had to use your arm, not your body weight and an anchor point to get extra purchase. It’s a different sport now. Body weight shouldn’t be used IMO
Exactly!! Not one of those body builders studied his match videos. Hes actually using his back muscles, whereas the meatheads are using just their arm.
His technique is genius, he has gamer speed mixed with sumo and judo techniques. Its beautiful to watch. The gamer speed component is most apparent, he ALWAYS gets the jump when they say Go and gets more torque.
He keeps his elbow at the same angle and rarely moves or lifts it, he also uses his opposite body weight for momentum. This kid perfected the arm wrestling technique.
when the others use extreme strength, he saves energy by forming an angle, to hold them there when the others try to hold him, he swings back and forth, to wear them down when he press, that's fixed arm angle with his body weight. I will say he is beyond "good" at this ...
You are spot on. Watch as he lets up a little then right back on. Most guys arms and muscles can't take that sudden release of force and then get force back he is pumping them. I'm sure those guys with huge biceps can do things in the gym that the 20 year old can't. I love his attitude in competition. You can tell sometimes he is actually challenged for a short time . I have seen almost all the videos of this young man and his secret is evident, the strength of his elbow, that joint is solid, it moves the entire limb (arm and forearm) as one, joined by the shoulder to the rest of his body, and when he makes force it is his whole body against only his rival's arm, that's why he always wins, it is difficult for there to be such a powerful arm to compete against his whole body
He doesn't necessarily be one of the strongest persons. He just have the most powerful that particular group of muscles you have to use for arm wrestling.
@@kelancole5947 Different kinds of sports use different group of muscles of your body. Winning arm wrestling only proves he has stronger muscle group in that particular part of his body. Arm wrestling doesn't engage every part of your body. You can try and feel it. When you arm wrestle, other than your arm, the rest of your body is pretty relaxed.
He's undoubtedly strong though It actually has alot more to do with technique. Twisting the opponents wrist, exerting power at the right times, using body weight and positioning of the shoulder, direction of pull etc it all makes a huge difference.
To all those who think that it's only about technique, it takes massive amount of strength to keep your arm locked in with your body and not moving it out of order.
@@mrgbs7168 I saw that too, if you keep your shoulder out or back you will loose and if you're are starts to extend your biceps are putting in all the work. He keeps his form even when pretending that you could win. Dope!

I'll be honest, this seems more like a technique than raw arm strength. He's good at locking his arm in place, then leveraging his whole body to bring the opponents arm down.
You know what I noticed, is dudes back is crazy big compared to the rest of him, I wonder if he's somehow leveraging that in a way that's different from what everyone else is doing.
Yes it’s mostly technique, he pulls his hand/& opponents hand towards his shoulder so it’s easier to lock. Look at everyone else and how once they start they all move further away from their own hand. It’s a simple principle, the closer an object is to your body, the easier it is to carry and the more strength w/o losing power you can use. Did I explain myself right? Lol

I don’t understand how it’s arm wrestling if you’re using your whole body
Ikr, that's fucked up
Like these Mfs be moving their backs to Mexico when the round starts.

Most of the boy’s opponents have biceps twice his size, but he beat them handily. Amazing!
what can biceps do against a whole body?
Mass is more important than size.
It's because he just twists the shit out of his opponents wrists. Needs to not be fucking allowed.

Alek always offers the Good Match shake, often ahead of his opponents after each bout. I think his power is only second to his sportsmanship.

The young guy knows how to use his whole upper body in his technique
Exactly!! Not one of those body builders studied his match videos.
Hes actually using his back muscles, whereas the meatheads are using just their arm.
His technique is genius, he has gamer speed mixed with sumo and judo techniques. Its beautiful to watch. The gamer speed component is most apparent, he ALWAYS gets the jump when they say Go and gets more torque.

my arm fell off just watching this! kid is a BEAST! good for him, looks like a nice guy too.
when the others use extreme strength, he saves energy by forming an angle, to hold them there
when the others try to hold him, he swings back and forth, to wear them down
when he press, that's fixed arm angle with his body weight.
I will say he is beyond "good" at this ...
hes winning by using his torso muscles similar to how you use your legs to lift heavy things, not your arms.
He’s pulling backwards, which is nearly impossible to win against
You are spot on.
He is on the path to being the GOAT of arm wrestling.

Lol what? He’s not the strongest between the two, his muscles are just more powerful. Doesn’t that…. Kind of… like… mean…. He’s stronger?
@@kelancole5947 Different kinds of sports use different group of muscles of your body. Winning arm wrestling only proves he has stronger muscle group in that particular part of his body. Arm wrestling doesn't engage every part of your body. You can try and feel it. When you arm wrestle, other than your arm, the rest of your body is pretty relaxed.
Exactly
@@kelancole5947 he means that muscles which are used in arm wrestling are stronger in him.
So does angling the wrist inward. Provides insane strength. Same with using your whole body as leverage.
@@mrgbs7168 I saw that too, if you keep your shoulder out or back you will loose and if you're are starts to extend your biceps are putting in all the work. He keeps his form even when pretending that you could win. Dope!

Schoolboy is legend in arm wrestling 🔥
I'll be honest, this seems more like a technique than raw arm strength. He's good at locking his arm in place, then leveraging his whole body to bring the opponents arm down.
Agreed. It's definitely not raw strength. The way we would do is is arms only. Couldn't move. Etc. That was legit.
go ahead you all and proof the theory
You know what I noticed, is dudes back is crazy big compared to the rest of him, I wonder if he's somehow leveraging that in a way that's different from what everyone else is doing.
@@Redfiregtag - i noticed the same thing. Power comes from the back.
Lol
