I was the Jr High School & High School arm wrestling champion, going vs guys that had arms & chest 2 to 3 times larger than mine. I am not saying I was some small kid, as I could put a sling around a refrigerator and carry it up a flight of stairs by myself back then, but arm wrestling isn't just about strength, as there is a lot of skill and one's technique allows them to go vs. much stronger opponents, that are also less skilled opponents.
Great work, great technique, and amazing attitude. This young guy is a credit to the sport, and wish him the best in his endeavors.

He must have absolutely amazing grip strength and utilizes his entire body to lower his physical weight below his hand and basically pull the opponent toward him and off their balance. And his reaction speed is simply superior. The fact he doesn’t even sweat or breathe heavy while his opponents literally turn red with veins bulging out of their necks must mean his abdominals are simply doing massive amounts of overtime. Genius technique.

what you just said is exactly why we lost the term 'arm wrestling' .. taking your body and dipping it down below the plane of the surface of the table should be a violation and a deduction, the rules should be changed. Using your arms exclusively. When the ref sets and locks the hands, the body/torso is straight and upright, and that's how the match should proceed till one is pinned.

@@douglasmiller346 I get what you mean by that. It's a sport after all and is governed by sports org rules which continue evolving. I used to arm wrestle with friends strictly using arm strength but yeah eventually things changed and so we adapted our own set of rules. At least everyone is on a level playing field and has to abide by the same rules. The word "arm" in arm wrestling pertains more to the fact that you still have to anchor/lock your arm with another person. The rest of your body is an extension and can be used as leverage. With all pros and cons considered, it's fine with me. It's more interesting since a smaller / slimmer / weak looking guy can beat a bulkier dude. Sound technique and strategy becomes greater priority over too much reliance on brute force.

A lot of people talking crap in the comments. This kid is an absolute beast. Proof that you can never judge a book by it's cover. His hand and wrist control is superior. This is where 90% of Armwrestling takes place. If you can't get past someone's hand and wrist control, then your only options really are to attempt a press with your shoulder and tricep or drop below the table in an attempt to tire your opponent. People who say it's ALL TECHNIQUE are forgetting that you have to have STRENTH and SPEED to execute technique.

I have seen almost all the videos of this young man and his secret is evident, the strength of his elbow, that joint is solid, it moves the entire limb (arm and forearm) as one, joined by the shoulder to the rest of his body, and when he makes force it is his whole body against only his rival's arm, that's why he always wins, it is difficult for there to be such a powerful arm to compete against his whole body

He's undoubtedly strong though It actually has alot more to do with technique. Twisting the opponents wrist, exerting power at the right times, using body weight and positioning of the shoulder, direction of pull etc it all makes a huge difference.

Yes it’s mostly technique, he pulls his hand/& opponents hand towards his shoulder so it’s easier to lock. Look at everyone else and how once they start they all move further away from their own hand. It’s a simple principle, the closer an object is to your body, the easier it is to carry and the more strength w/o losing power you can use. Did I explain myself right? Lol
